Not sure what the other reviewer is gripping about. My father had an account here. I had to help him with if finances for a little, and the people at this branch were great to work with. We don’t have NBT where I live, or I’d have an account with them.

I have been banking with this company for far too long… Why, because there are not many alternatives in the area… For Christs sakes, I hate big banks too, but BofA or Wells Fargo is looking good to me right now. My husband and I opened Our JOINT Business accounts at this Bank in 2006. Donna Shipment Branch Manager opened the accounts for us… Why wouldn’t she explain that one of us is the primary bank account owner? We would have never agreed to that. Over the years My husband and I have both told her it is a joint account we JOINTLY own our Business together. I can make changes and access OUR account how and when I see fit… My husband does none of the banking anyway. Never has, or at least very seldom. If two people own a business together, there’s not generally 1 owner unless specified. We gave her legal documents pertaining to this. Moving forward over the years I have had to call Donna personally and Donna would handle stuff on my behalf because customer service is incompetent at best to fix their errors. Now there is a New Branch manager and is giving me the run around bout my accounts, that I have had since 2006, saying I need my husbands permission to access our accounts add accounts etc. Nbt bank is so far behind in the banking business, you can’t even transfer member to member… Moving forward, as soon as I get back to NY… and They are lucky I am in California… I am switching. How dare NBT bank be so prejudice against women. If my husband and I opened an account together… We Both equally are owners of it. I don’t know what era NBT bank is Living in but women’s rights to be equals have been in effect for years for
