I’m elevating Walt’s to «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» status based on two things:(1) it’s one of only three places left in Coos Bay/North Bend we’ll even take a chance on anymore; and(2) the newer server in the red boots at least acts like she’s seen us before. But it’s not perfect. Because so many other people seem to have settled on Walt’s as their go-to place, there are lots of times we’ll swing by there after a movie or work, and find the place so packed that we just keep going. With that tiny kitchen, a full crowd almost always means a very long wait. And spending a lot of time waiting just isn’t our bag. Sad commentary on life on Oregon’s south coast, but here you go.

Great atmosphere, great service, and great beer choices, but the food could use some work. My boyfriend’s sandwich tasted good, but sooooooo messy and fell apart. My fish was really talked up on the menu, but was just your run of the mill frozen battered fish. I will say though, the hand cut fries were awesome.

The pizza was so good and the service was great. Great hang out place. Beer, wine and hard liquor. Giant Jenga and Giant Connect Four. Fun times.
