Big Lots

I went check out, cashier ignore me for long time and she have nothing to do just talking to the other person, I will never go back to big lot, bad attitude.

Big Lots — Discount retailer. I’m really on the fence about this place. On one hand, I love that I can find tons of organic, foreign or hard to find items here (when in stock), but I also remember how rude and lethargic the staff is with the occasional mess in the store and disorganization in general.
I’ll pop my head in Big Lots a few times a year. Before (and after) the holiday season they have inexpensive wrapping paper and bags, plenty of little stocking suffers and knick nack items. There are tons of cheapo «made in china» things around but they can be avoided. I love the food selection. It’s an eclectic mix of often discontinued or unsuccessful products but I can grab a giant pile of decent items for dirt cheap. On my latest haul I stocked up on illy coffee, amys organic snacks, bell plantation PB crackers, whole leaf earl grey tea, kale tortilla chips, etc.
Most of the staff that I encounter look and act like they DO NOT want to be bothered. For example, a girl was restocking the shelf and saw me turning the corner with my cart. She stopped for a second and then pushed past me all zombie like without a word. Eh? Rude. The next girl I saw was wandering around in the store TALKING LIKE WHAT OH NO, HOMEGIRL DON’T THINK SO — on the phone. Sigh.
COLLEGE STUDENTS/​DORMERS:
Make no mistake, this place COULD be your Mecca. Listen up. Lots of cheap (see: semi disposable) furniture, discounted appliances ($ 15 slow cookers!), Tons of canned and boxed food that isn’t (necessarily) poor quality that you can whip up for quick meals. For example, combine some inexpensive rice, vegetable broth, lentils, curry powder and canned tomatoes with that sub-​$ 20 brand name slow cooker and you got yourself and a friend TWO dinners*. Grab some drink mixes or after dinner snacks and you’re DONE.

This store is run by incompetent human beings. I ordered a nice couch several weeks ago and was told it would be in the next week. Needless to say, we called the following week and was told it would be in the next week. Held our patience, they didnt call, and now it wont be in for another month??? I dont get why people cant do there job and tell the truth? DUMB DUMB PEOPLE

One Word «BARGAINS» I love this place great buys on everything from Automotive to Home Goods. I picked name pillows for the Bed $ 3.00 ea .BBQ tools $ 3.00 each on name brand Items .You must buy when you see it or It could be gone next time. Product arrives on a limited inventory.
