The customer service here isn’t that great. The girls can be rude. The pupusas are definitely not the best I’ve had and aren’t really worth it.

I’ve been dying to try a pupusa for the longest and yesterday it finally happened. I got 3 of the queso con churrasco and it was delish. They had great options on the menu, I am definitely coming back for more especially since it’s around the corner from my cousins house.

I will give a two stars review due to POORCUSTOMERSERVICE, we always order out from this place for the past 10 years, yesterday we order pupusas mix and cheese also fried pork with yuca, a beef soup with rice, tortillas and empanadas BUT I think the cook forgot to put mozzarella on the cheese pupusas, we didn’t eat them until today so my mother notice the difference she called and ask to speak to the manager and was told he just left then she asked to speak to the person in charge, a supervisor so they transfer a woman, she dare to tell my mother the mozzarella was expensive that they pay $ 250. For the bag ok WTF I CAREHOWMUCHTHEYPAYFORIT? They’re charging it right? Is not for free, what kind of answer is that? How stupid and non educated woman, I really hope the manager reads my review since those«waitresses“won’t transfer calls to the owner I almost forgot to mention the fried pork with yuca plate only had three small pieces of pork, what you’re going to tell me pork and yuca are expensive too!!! Give me a break

Ate here based upon Unilocal reviews & wasn’t impressed. There is a huge language barrier with the service staff. We ordered take out at the restaurant & half of it was wrong when we got home. If the food was amazing I would have overlooked it but it was just meh in my opinion. My daughter ordered beef & chick patties & tostonis & said they were good. I ordered puposa, beef tacos, & it was just ok.

Hola Hola! This restaurant is going into my rotation of deliciousness! I’ve been on the look out for the real deal, well look no further for The Rincon Gunaco has the ‘goods’. We started off with their delicious pupusa’s both pork and cheese. This automatically got my mouth to watering for more gooey goodness. Next it was off to tamale town for the best tamale this gringo ever tasted the corn tamale gave me goose bumps. We finished off this taste explosion with tacos two ways. Regular soft chicken and crispy crunch fried tacos. One word and one word only. Wow!!! I’m the words of The Terminator ’ I ‘ll be back!

Came for dinner tonight and immediately thought, «why don’t I come here more often?» Tried the ceviche, which was really good, and the res tacos. This is such a warm, homey place and the servers are so friendly, although there can sometimes be a language barrier. The food is not fancy but it is good.

I savor my love for pupusas everytime i come to new york. My salvadorean friend took me here, said it spread word of mouth in the latin community as a must visit, now i know why! So we went to polish town for amazing authentic salvi food — where can i start? The cabbage pupusa topping is given to you in a bag jar with your meal so you can have as much as you like. Me — i can eat the whole jar haha. It’s not spicey, it is pickled and you get two sauces: the typical tomato based sauce and a spicy ground green chili and cilantro, all of it is so incredibly fresh. For non meat eaters, enjoying spanish food is usually not an option. At rincon i had many options, but what. Came for was pupusa con queso no carne this is pupusa stuffed with beans and cheese. If you never had it it’s hard for me to describe and you might be thinking of mexican food which you shouldn’t it’s kind of different! I also had the corn tamales with cream — delicious but i didn’t leave much room for them since i had to eat four pupusas and a whole jar of cabbage. I think it’s the sauces and the cabbage that will make or break a pupusa. We had the nicest waitress.
