The service is okay at best, if you don’t order to eat there check your food before you leave, 9⁄10 it will be wrong of something is missing. Lately their cheese sauce has a plastic taste to it and has made me sick twice now, I don’t recommend getting cheese sauce at all. The Meg sauce is gold though

Visiting a nephew at fort hood, he said Black Meg is a good place. Off we go. Everyone ordered regular burgers which came out fresh and hot with crispy fries. But no, not me, I had to try something different. I was trying to decide between 2 specialty burgers when she said let me fix you both as half burgers. I said great idea. When it came out, I had two baskets of ala carte ingredients ready for me to assemble. Cold. Each half was kind of ok but just not the same as a hot, steamy, melted cheesy mess that needs to be wiped off your face. That’s ok, no brilliant ideas next time. The cheeseburger combo please, with extra jalapeños!

I ordered the Avacado Chicken Sandwich. Flavor was delicious, chicken was juicy and well cooked. My only complaint was that it was very messy with Meg sauce and Ranch. I would order this again for sure but I would have them leave these items on the side. The fries were fantastic.

First time trying black Meg out and it was recommended to me from coworkers. I ordered the El Diablo all the way. Service was speedy at around 1100 on a friday. Burger was fresh and Fries were hot. The sauce consisted of habanero and cactus sauce, perfect spiciness for me. Place was clean and presentable. I gave 4 stars for timeliness, greeting, seating and tables clean, and have Big Red soda. Minus One Star for a couple flies buzzing around in the dining area. Great place though

Let me say that this is a great burger place! My family was driving through Killeen on the way home and were going to stop at Storms but we are glad we did not! If you are in the area stop and get a burger. It’s worth the time.

Black megs never disappoints us. If you want to try something besides a burger try one of their hotdogs! The onion rings are really good too.

Ah-may-zing burgers! I haven’t been to any if the other locations but everytime I’ve gone I’ve always been impressed. The burgers are perfectly seasoned with the right amount of condiments every time. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful. I love the fries as well. I’m fairly new to the area and upon discovering this place I don’t even care to eat at another burger place in the area. You definitely will not be disappointed with the food here.

Our family went for a late lunch at Black Meg on a Sunday. This was our first visit. It was not a good first impression. As soon as we walked in our feet were sticking to the floor. I felt like I was at the movie theater. The person taking the order did not greet us. He just waited for us to order. We had a hard time finding where to sit because all the tables were dirty. This is probably what caused there to be lots of flies. We all got our food very quickly except my husband. He did not get his order until we were almost done eating. My burger was ok. Definitely not my favorite in the city. The burger looked like it was put together in a hurry. All in all the experience was not horrific but we probably won’t be going back. The prices were very fair.

Don’t knock it till you try it. First impression of the restaurant isn’t the best, but the burgers will make up for it.

We just got back from eating at Black Meg 43 in cove. Let me start with saying that the fries are the best. The burgers are by no means small so go with a big appetite. I had the cowboy. It was good but the bbq sauce was a bit too rich. My husband had the black meg. He really liked it. My girls had a burger and hot dog. My only complaint is that they turned on the ac so our food got cold real fast. I took a couple of pictures but not sure how to add them to my review.

The service was good and staff was very friendly. The fries tasted like they were fried in old grease. A lot of choices on the menu, many burgers and sides. I just wish the food tasted fresher.

Boy oh boy. When I first visited my friends after they moved to Copperas Cove, I saw this on my way in and was intrigued. After some research I was really wanting to eat here. We finally did and it’s SOGOOD! I’ve had the Cowboy twice, the onion rings, fries and fried pickles. This is some seriously good hometown tasty goodness. It’s very reasonable and they have a nice variety to choose from. They always have interesting specials too. The last time I was there they had a fried clam sandwich. You don’t see that every day in Texas.

This place has great food for a great price. My complaint is that it seems like management is extremely lacking. My orders are incorrect every other time, but it’s usually something minuscule so I don’t really care. I have yet to see an adult working there, which is why I question supervision. The place is always dirty(tables/restrooms). Trash cans are always full. Ketchup always empty. Minor things that hinder a business from being greater. I love the food and the price and I’ll keep eating here regardless of pestilence.

Fantastic burger the counter helps a little rude but the food makes it worthwhile. The location is really good right off the highway really appreciated the onion rings like that since I was a kid

Rarely write these but i am not impressed and very dissapointed with black meg after hearing all the hype. My fried zucchini was burnt bad and had no flavor. My garlic parm fries were nasty and soggy, literally had no garlic and it seemed as if they just dumped a bunch of parm in the bag and that was it. Didn’t get a burger so I can’t speak on that. Also my crispy chicken salad was so tiny. Defenitely won’t be coming back. I honestly would have taken the food back if we didn’t order to go.

They have delicious food but the service and customer service has been a mixed bag lately. Go there for the food but don’t expect much is customer care.

I must say… After reading several GREAT reviews, and driving by to see a long line in drive thru all the time, I was under the impression this place was amazing. I’m disappointed! We spent over $ 20 for two people. Our order– a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate shake, a shrimp PO boy with fries and a fountain drink. The burger wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t anything special! It didn’t have any flavor, and wasn’t burning hot. People say their burgers weed juicy and fat… Mine had absolutely no juice! The bacon was cold, and dry… And extremely thin! The shrimp PO boy was also morning special. It had a lot of shrimp and they were hot, but there wasn’t any special sauce or anything. Lots of people rant about these fries… But I can’t figure out why? For one, mine were cold. Two, they were just your average fries that you get anywhere else. I didn’t really care for the seasoning salt they sprinkle on them. They also charged an extra $ 2.00 to add chili and cheese which seems a bit excessive! They were out of sweet tea and out of lemonade. They have hand dipped milk shakes. I ordered chocolate. They used chocolate ice cream, and a LOT of milk… Possibly skim milk? Not sure, but honestly, the shake just tasted like water. Definitely not worth the $ 3.50 they charge for the shake. Just disappointed in this experience! Sarah was out cashier. She really wasn’t too friendly and didn’t really appear to be listening when we ordered.

Pretty dang good. Fat juicy burgers, love that it’s family owned and operated. Onion rings are huge and awesome. I think the store could be updated with coca-cola products, Heinz ketchup, and blue bell ice cream. The American flags in the burgers make me happy

I am not a big burger fan and usually do not like fast food, but Black Meg’s is an exemption. The burgers are good size, taste fresh and there are lots of options. We were worried when they moved to their new location about prices going up and/or the food not being as good, but that was unfounded. Plus who wants Mikey D’s when they can get a burger, fries and a drink for $ 5(incl tax) at Black Meg’s!!! One complaint however are the hours: They close at 7 pm on Sundays!!! Suggestion stay open until 9 pm like during the week!!!
