To stopped on my way home from a wedding reception at the casino and once I saw they were open I was beyond happy. The food is great and the staff is amazing. The woman at the front handed my son water even though we didn’t order it because she wanted to make sure he wasn’t thirsty and the burgers and fries and shakes were beyond expectation. I will make sure I drive as far as I need to to come back to this place! Thanks so much!

I eat here fairly often. As far as price, quality and quantity you won’t do better in this area. I’ve tried lots of stuff off their menu and never have had a bad meal(the Chad Burger and the chicken chow mien are awesome). Prices are fair, portions are filling. Plus the owners are great people, always a pleasure to deal with them! One of the few local business’s in this area that are worth their salt.

Every time we come up to the lake, my kids want to eat at Matts. It’s affordable and the food is always good. Great job… We will see you again.

Good place to stop! Great double bacon cheeseburger! Pulled pork sandwich not so much. Milkshakes are soft serve with flavor. Onions ring standard, good. Will visit again

I finally lucked out and timed it just right to have a meal at Matts last night on my way home from my spa get away. I had the Matt burger that was really good. I posted pictures of their menu. They have great prices as well. The owners Lila and Matt I think it was are very kind and friendly. I highly recommend if your driving through or when you don’t mind the scant 30 minute drive. I’m going to try their Asian food next time

This place is an awesome place to grab some quick, Cheap but excellent lunch. They serve breakfast as well but I’ve only been for lunch. They are very nice people here and will remember your name after just one visit. The food is great

Great little roadside restaurant. Food is spactacular and the service is superb. The onion ring were great but the best was my kids chicken nuggets and fries. I had trouble not eating there food. My burger was a little smashed in the bag but it was one of the better burgers i have had. Will definitely go back again

Stopped by and got some fish and chips. Fish was very oily and the fries were old.

Map quest did me dirty and routed me the very scenic route from Sac to Sonora! Along highway 4 I first turned in at the town square of copperopolis. I had to walk around the Disney-esque scene, I quickly turned to Unilocal to see if there was a place to grab a quick bite. All of the restaurants were pricey, even the coffee house was expensive! I consulted Unilocal once again and found Matt’s! It was just what I was looking for, to-go&1 $sign:) I rolled up, looked at the menu for a whole, it was interesting, burgers, BBQ and Asian. I ordered nuggets and fried. The man cooking was very kind, as well as the sweet older lady who took my order! The only thing I would suggest is possibly more seating, there are two picnic tables that were occupied, so I had to awkwardly stand around while waiting for good! The food was really good, and the portion was very large, for a great price. Great stop along the way!

During a hanger fit on the way back from Yosemite this place popped into our horizon and we quickly pulled over and were really glad we did! Fresh, juicy burgers; great fries and a perfect root beer float. The food took a little while to come out, but it is a small operation and the views are enough to keep you busy. There is even a bathroom that was super clean and well stocked(a must on a road trip).

Stopped here on our way from Yosemite to Tahoe… Very solid! We ordered the burger meal with fries and a drink for $ 7. Our kids had hot dogs. Food was ready quickly and was quite good! Seemed fresh, the burgers seemed to be our favorite of everything that we ordered. Thanks to Unilocal for steering us in the right direction.

My girlfriend and I stopped by here on our way out of yosemite. We had a 7oz bacon cheeseburger and beer battered fries. The burger tasted like what Wendy’s wishes their burger was. The fries were typical pre-frozen seasoned fries. Really generous portion though. It was a really pretty spot to sit outside and eat. The family running the business were really nice. If every McDonald’s would go away and be replaced with spots like this, the world would be a better place.

Love the burgers! I ordered a lettuce burger and it was juicy and delicious! Great customer service. Food does take a while, but it’s meat so of course it takes a while!

Frosty type food with a few other tasty options. Reasonably priced and good quality. Your order does take some time to be severed so expect it but it’s worth the wait!

Love this place. After spending the entire day moving into our new digs in Copperopolis, we needed a break. The burgers are awesome… big and fresh.

Around this town Asian food is hard to get by. On Matt’s menu there are three Asian items: Chow Mein, Stir Fry, and Sweet & Sour. Matt’s cooks freshly. The portions are big enough — my boys most of the time cannot finish theirs in the first sitting, even though they say this is their favorite in town. This isn’t a Chinese restaurant, so be ready for Matt’s creations being somewhat unique. Reminds me of my own Asian cooking, and I love it. I was getting tired of the common fare served up in these parts, and Matt’s has rescued me a few times from food frustration. The Asian items seem to take longer to make than burgers, that is why we call in. I like those freshly cooked veggies!

Pretty solid place. I ordered the 7 oz Angus Burger with all the fixings(tomato, lettuce, onion, pickles, mayo, mustard, ketchup). Cooked perfectly to a medium well with juices coming out. The burger was a very good size and the bun was toasted to perfection. The beef patty was perfect for the bun size and peeked out of the bun about ½ inch all the way around. Also ordered a side of fries, nothing special, should of went for the criss cut fries. The also make Asian dishes like teri beef, chicken, adobo, and fried rice. I might try them next time. Planning to come back here again. The are only closed on Tuesdays.

We drove by this place for months before we finally stopped and tried it out. We’re glad we did. The servce was friendly and the food was good. The fare is the typical burgers – fries – drinks and associated fare. We had cheeseburgers, which came with the usual toppings and included my favorite, American cheese. We were impressed. The fries were very good and had the right amount of salt, something that many places can’t seem to get right. This place reminds me of a little beachside burger stand, the kind that keeps you coming back. The Sierra foothills now has their own version.

Great, family run take out(read: little to no seating) joint. When you’re coming off the lake craving a burger and fries… go to Matt’s(especially since there’s not much else in Copper). The large fries can feed two people, the burgers are always juicy and never over done *and* the best part — they grill them to order. There’s a lot of stuff on the menu, like teriyaki bowls, etc. There’s always something to please everyone. They are closed odd days of the week(changes from Tuesdays to Wednesdays) — but always open on the weekends.
