O Chocolate fashion foi uma agradável surpresa. Cheguei a Miami, as 06:00 e o meu checkin no hotel era somente ao meio dia. Decidimos então tomar um café da manhã. Nesse momento, saquei do meu Unilocal,e localizei o chocolate fashion, bem avaliado.

Small & bustling. Awesome homemade pastries. Nothing special about the egg dishes, but service was prompt. Great espresso drinks too.

My boyfriend and I come here ritually every Saturday for breakfast. It’s one of the best spots there is in Coral Gables. Today, I decided to try their lunch and on top of the fact the breakfast is always delicious, lunch was spectacular. I had the special salad. Highly recommend to just enjoy breakfast or lunch. On weekends, get there early because it’s always packed after 9AM! Ambience is great and everyone is just so sweet. We come back because of the food but it’s mostly because of the service.

I sat in between a couple of empty tables, as I was meeting friends and was a bit early. After a few minutes, a server came and asked if I wanted anything to drink and if I was waiting for others in my party. Once I said we had 4 total in the party and that they’d be there any minute, he pushed the two tables together to form one. The service was pretty good throughout the whole meal. I got an iced mocha with fat free milk, which was both a tasty and refreshing choice coming in from the Miami humidity just outside. I ordered both the Smoked Salmon Benedict and the French Toast Club to eat. The benedict I enjoyed every much. The muffin remain toasty and crunchy even as the hollandaise and yolks took over the plate. The French Toast Club was underwhelming. I had high expectations for this dish, mainly from seeing pictures in previous reviews. The«toast» was much too soft for a French Toast dish in my opinion, and most of the flavor of the dish came from the vanilla bean sauce. It’s decent and different, but I’d recommend thinking of ordering something else on the menu. Overall, the ambience was great, the service was pretty good, and the food selection was vast and of good quality on the whole, judging from my experience and my friends’ reactions. 4.1÷5 stars

I’m not sure what’s worse, the food or the service. They are both equally horrible… Come here only if you want to look fashionable and sit in a cute café. If you actually want to eat a good meal avoid this place at all costs. Im rating this one star based solely on the restaurant and not bakery. Although whats odd is the chocolate croissant i had with my breakfast was stale. So that doesn’t look good for the bakery(which is what this place is allegedly known for) I’m very curious why so many good ratings on this place and why its always so busy. I guess people really love the fake european vibe and could care less about quality food or good service.

Really long wait on the off-season Sunday morning I went. Breakfast off the menu was good but the bakery was my favorite part of this experience. Next time, I will just order bakery items to-go. I sampled a selection of items but the chocolate croissant and hot chocolate were my fav!

Too crowded I had to sit on a stool in the middle of the walkway because the booths were for one person.

I was invited to this restaurant. It is a very small place. However, there is a bigger place in Coral gable, same restaurant. We got pancakes, eggs with chorizo, 2 fried eggs, eggs with spinach, whites with spinach and toasts. We also got cappuccino and black coffee. The orange juice was cold and sweet. The attention was good. We basically called the waitress like 30 times, she never rolled her ice, instead she was very friendly. This is a place where you can find a very extensive options. The coffee was fresh and dark.

The food was good/average, karina was a nice waitress, BUT there is this Argentinean server who was SUPER rude. My friends and I wanted to have a nice breakfast and be able to catch up. This guy, first asked us to wait outside in a very rude way, even a guy made him aware of how he told us to go out. After our breakfast and still there catching up(1 hr later) he went to our table and asked us to leave because they were«busy» and there was a big party waiting(we could never see the big party he was talking about) we paid the check and I order some to go pastries and while waiting, he once again came to our table and asked us in a very rude and sarcastic way to leave, we told him we were still eating and buying more food, he got upset. I will NEVER go back!!! Oh! And btw I jut found out, they charged my credit card twice. Thank you Chocolate fashion

I really had high hopes for this place based on the reviews but my experience was honestly just average. I felt rather rushed the entire time due to the limited seating and people waiting for a spot and I didn’t feel very welcomed because I wasn’t one of the regulars which seemed to be half of the other people in the building. The lack of space makes it very, very difficult to order or even look at all the bakery items they have in the case, which took forever to order because nobody was that willing to explain what certain things were. I think it would have been a good idea to put cards in front of each dessert stating the name and what’s inside it so you don’t have to ask about every little thing. I had the eggs benedict which looked really delicious in the pictures people posted on here but was extremely mediocre. The english muffin wasn’t toasted or even warm, it was basically like it was just taken out of the bag, cut and thrown on the plate and the flavors just weren’t there in the little amount of hollandaise sauce you were given. We also ordered a few of the pastries which were good but not great, the cream they use for filling is a bit too sweet for me. I’m sorry to say I probably wouldn’t be willing to go out of my way or deal with the crowdedness to try this place again because I really wanted to love it.

I love this place for breakfast! I always miss the«spanish style» café I used to go for breakfast in Spain and I never thought I would find something similar here in Miami, but this one is very close to that! They have real bread, including baguettes, coffee is strong and nice, if you don´t like too much milk but espresso is too strong for you, «cortadito» has the perfect amount of milk and coffee :)… They have a lot of pastries and fresh cakes(their lime pie tart looks amazing) and small sweets, and 6 or 7 breakfast options including french toast and omelettes. They have special breakfast for weekends(pancakes, eggs benedict…) but I haven´t tried them yet, just the weekdays regular ones. Price is not too high, around $ 9 for coffee+breakfast option. There are many tables but if you don´t go early the places gets really full. Atmosphere is casual, good for lunch too.

I escaped and went to a little European café chocolate heaven! There’s just this vibe about Chocolate Fashion. The closest to a true European café experience in Miami. I went for Sunday brunch. We got there around 11am and got seated right away. Around noon-ish the wait started to form, but the wait is so worth it! Food: The food was so good! A very extensive menu of breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, great coffee selection, and of course let’s not forget the pastries! They even have fresh bread displayed for you to select from. I got the salmon benedict which comes on an English muffin, but I swapped it for a croissant(must!). The salmon was just the right amount of saltiness and super fresh, didn’t taste fishy at all! The eggs were perfectly poached, the real way. And the hollandaise sauce came on the side, which was perfect. It was a small portion, but just the right amount of food. Cappuccino made with Lavazza espresso was served with a mini muffin. Of course delicious. The pastry selection was overwhelming, it was hard to decide! So I got three mini pastries: lemon custard, strawberry custard, and a mini vanilla éclair. The lemon custard was a little too tart for my taste, but the strawberry custard tasted like a strawberry shortcake. The vanilla éclair, well, I wish I would’ve gotten more! The perfect ending to a pretty perfect brunch! Ambiance: This place was just so warm and I truly felt like I transported to Europe. It’s cozy, not pretentious at all! You can come in your Sunday best or in jean shorts and flip-flops. It’s small, but I like that. Makes it feel intimate. Service: The service was excellent. Plenty of wait staff and everyone was super friendly and knowledgable about the menu. Very willing to accommodate any special requests. Just lovely people! Overall, great breakfast spot! I can’t wait to come again. Next time I’m trying the French toast with vanilla bean sauce topped with fresh strawberries. Mouth watering!

Yummmmm!!! Chocolate fashion is my favorite place for breakfast in the Gables. They are always super busy and this is due to their delicious food, which is totally worth the wait! Their coffee is delicious and my very favorite things to eat are the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich, oh and also the French toast! This place is delicious and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an awesome European style restaurant with good food. In terms of service, everyone is always super nice and friendly. :)

Chocolate Fashion is a cute little bakery in the heart of South Miami. I go there sometimes for breakfast and lunch. I love their coffee, perfect way to fuel up and begin the day. I try to get something new every time, I have yet to find something I don’t like! I’m never disappointed. It’s a small place with not much seating, so expect a wait. It’s worth it!

I hate to write this review, but it’s a health concern and people need to know. Went to lunch several weeks ago around 2:30 pm on a Saturday. I found termite wings and insect droppings in my water glass, as well as lipstick smears on my coffee cup. The manager told me they had just recently fumigated… that was his excuse for the bugs in my water glass. Nauseated, I will never go here again. I will post the photos.

Delicious pumpkin soup!!! Key lime pie is still my favorite but pastries in general are delicious. Mini pastries make it easy to try many of them. I havent come for breakfast yet but it looks like it is probably very good. So i will come again By the way, service is good. Friendly staff

Sunday brunch is a bit of a zoo in a place this small. Lots of families & the noise level is well above comfortable. Nothing relaxed about it. The servers are running their butts off, and the kitchen does a great job turning out dishes fast. In my opinion, the quality suffers because of it. My French toast could have been cooked a lot more, it was almost«raw» white bread slices. The caramelized bananas added the only flavor on the dish. The vanilla sauce was way too thick, too much cornstarch, not a fan. It was also bland and had none of the dark vanilla bean flecks one would expect. Don’t recommend it. They do have some beautiful looking French style pastries and cakes, lots of little tarts covered in chocolate ganache, as well as tarte tatins, fruit tarts and key lime pie. Would be perfect with a cup of coffee on a quiet afternoon, when you can actually hear your own thoughts.

I was staying at the Hyatt Regency for a conference the past few days and looking for a breakfast place to enjoy a leisure breakfast before leaving Miami. So glad I found Chocolate Fashion — what a treat and exactly what I was looking for! There are a number of breakfast places in the area, but the photos and reviews lured me to Chocolate Fashion. I was tempted to order a chocolate croissant(my absolute fave pastry!) but finally decided on something a little heartier since it was noon and I’d be heading the airport shortly. The Prosciutto & Fresh Mozzarella on French Baguette caught my eye and sounded like a deliciously savory treat. The sandwich came with Italian Prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette with a fresh mesculum salad on the side($ 10.75). All of the ingredients were incredibly fresh, delicious, and excited my taste buds! The small mesculum side salad was simple but incredibly tasty because it was made with good quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I also enjoyed a Latte made with Italian LavAzza espresso which was full bodied and rich yet incredibly smooth. The latte arrived with a tiny Madeline cookie on the side — a nice touch from this French bakery known for their pastries and sweet treats! This is a popular restaurant so don’t be surprised if you arrive around noon on a weekend and have to wait for a table — rest assured that it is well worth the wait! The manager was incredibly attentive and kept a watchful eye on all the tables to help refill water glasses and ask guests about their meal. I was very impressed with his friendly service and desire to ensure everyone enjoyed their meal. The other staff were friendly and greeted guests upon entering; one in particular was my favorite as he addressed all the ladies as «mi amor» with a smile and sincere affection. Oh, be sure to check out samples of the pastries by the cash register on the way out. Though be warned it will likely encourage you to bring something else home to enjoy later! I tried a piece of a Guava and Cream Cheese Pastry that was sinfully delicious and I just couldn’t resist taking a Dulce de Leche cookie with me for the road.

Un endroit délicieux à savourer artistiques traite française avec café ou thé. My friend and i stopped by on her suggestion one blustery Saturday morning. We timed it well for scoring a table for two outside. The inside seating had a bit of a wait. Little did we know that the drama would unfold with an apparent irate Argentinean(I’m guessing since he was wearing the flag as a shirt). Was quite impressed with the quick dispatch by the french waiter. The staff was remarkably restrained compared to ruthless Parisian wait staff who suffer no fools. The pastries were extraordinary and I will be compelled to return to continue to assess. More to follow…
