I’m not sure how a doctor that specializes in bariatric surgery ended up removing my gall bladder at South Miami hospital, but I’m sure glad he did.
He did a fantastic job and left minimal scars, but what makes Dr. Whittwell an amazing doctor is what he did for me outside of the operating room.
I developed some pretty serious complications after surgery (They had nothing to do with him.) and he pushed to have me transferred from the CCU at South Miami Hospital to a better suited hospital. If it hadn’t been for him, who knows what would have happened and how long I would have been under the treatment of doctors that were not qualified to deal with my seriously complicated situation.
