Happy Tanning

I was looking for an organic spray tan for my wedding photo shoot. After some research on Unilocal I called Happy Tanning and Claudia the owner was very nice and accommodating. She gave me an appointment for the very next day and the whole thing was easy and stress free.
I have never spray tanned before so I was not sure what to expect but I was in and out of there in 15 minutes. She has a room in a small but very cute salon in the Gables. I explained to her that I did not want to be too tan or the dreaded orange color and she gave me exactly what I wanted. I was a few shades darker but it was a very natural look. My white wedding dress looked beautiful against my tan skin and pics came out great. My color lasted for about 7 – 10 days.
I just went back today as I wanted a nice tan for my New Years dress and again the process of making an appointment and getting my spray was hassle free. Since my legs are naturally tan I opt for the top half of my body only and it costs $ 25.
For any first time spray tanners you need to let the spray stay on at least 6 hours before you shower so it is best to go in the morning or by lunch as the first time I went late afternoon and I found myself looking at the clock waiting to shower. It is a bit sticky but the results are worth it. I read the other reviewers complaint that her skin was blotchy but it must have been some type of skin issue as both times my tan has been even and blotch free.
Great place to come to if you are looking for a natural looking chemical free brown (not orange) tan.

I was looking forward to exceptional service given her reviews here on Unilocal but i was very dissapointed by her work ethic as well as her service. This was the first time that i spray tanned and figured i would be better off given she uses an organic product and i had a very important event to attend. At first she was very helpful over the phone even though she doesn’t give accurate instruction for a first timer. The following day after my tan my arms were blotchy, tan was very uneven. Darker in some areas and a total disaster. I naturally contacted her first thing in the morning and she asked me to come in. Once there she starts to diagnose me with all these skin issue that her other clients have so i must have the same. I think that was very unprofessional given she is not a dermatologist. I would think as someone that lives off of word of mouth she would have given me a credit to come back or at the very least a partial refund but that was not the case. But if this is her work ethic she might need the $ more than i would. Definently would recommend to someone considering using her services to do research on other places and dont let the pictures on her wall fool you. This person needs more training in her technic as well as how she deals with disatisfied customers.

Claudia does a great job! Very professional, she was on time for my appointment. The salon is very nice. This is defiantly my new tanning spot.

I’ve been looking for a really good spray tan place and I’m so so happy I found Happy Tanning! From the call to make an appointment to the custom spray tan, Claudia was professional and considerate. I suffer from vitiligo and she took extra care to give me an even tan. I will definitely be retuning!

Claudia is truly the best. She’s professional, friendly and truly cares on perfecting my tan every single time. I visit her every single week for my weekly tan and leave happy and bronzed. I’ve not one time left here with an orange tan, like I have in previous tanning experiences. Love you claudia! Aka: life saver.

One word to describe my recent tan ‚“awesome”! I only wish I had done it sooner. After trying every self tanner out there, I decided to finally give spary tanning a try. I’m impressed. I will highly recommend Claudia to all my friends. She knows what’s she’s doing :-)
