Fair price and old school attitude by the owner. He’s a bit of a stoic, doesn’t talk (or smile) much, and so the experience was less than inviting. He did do a good job with my straight hair, and also provides a shave as part of your cut.
I’m used to a more friendly and welcoming disposition, so I haven’t rated this place as high as I might otherwise. But if you don’t mind a grumpy old man cutting your hair (well, I might add), then this is the place for you.
I also echo another’s comment about closing early. I called ahead once (before I finally went a week later) and was told he was «done for the day» despite his hours indicating otherwise.

Drove all the way from Brickell only to find out shop is closing much earlier today. Politely asked if they could still take care of me given I just wasted 30 minutes and their announced hours are longer, but was refused service. Very disappointed as other reviews were very positive

Traveling for a wedding, I visited Jimmy’s for a clean up. This is exactly what I want in a barber shop. Hair cut includes a shave on the back of your neck and sideburns. Cash only, as it should be.

This place is awesome. Came recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed. The place is about as old school as it comes and the two barbers are extremely nice. They don’t just do your old school cuts, I brought in a picture of a modern cut and they did it to perfection, in fact he found a bad part of the cut and fixed it on me. Lots of older people frequent the place but being 22 you better believe I will be there again and again. Yeah it may seem pricey at $ 16 for a cut but man I don’t mind it one bit. This place gives you a great cut and customer service you don’t see just anywhere.

In my opinion, experience counts for everything and these guys have XP in spades. Everyone else in this town is an amateur with clippers. After years of looking for a real barber that really knows how to cut hair — classic cuts (not something that looks like you got in prison or flea market usa), I’m finally home.

Old school barber shop! Old school barbers! The cut costs $ 16 which is reasonable for the area but it’s cash only. The service and the cut beats supercuts, hair cuttery, etc… Definitely my new barber shop.

I still cringe at paying 16 $ for a haircut… But it seems to be the going rate nowadays… so I can deal with it.
It’s so nice to go to a place where the barber really takes the time to cut your hair the way you really want it… And the barbers here make you feel like they have more experience and knowledge about cutting hair than any man on earth. You can tell the shop has regular clientel, and it’s generally an older crowd of business men who don’t want to deal with getting a bad haircut and looking less distinguished.
They actually use the long shaving blade to clean up corners, which gives you that really clean feeling after… I hate leaving from getting my haircut and all I really did was pay for someone to just remove length…
It’s a spiritual haircut.
