From now, I am going to this Sephora. The lighting is so much brighter than the one at Dadeland(it’s so dark in there) and the people who work here are so much nicer. I came in to exchange a foundation that was too dark and Jasmine, who helped me, was so knowledgeable and sweet. She helped me find the perfect shade and was so patient with all my questions. Super happy with my experience!

All Sephoras have great products and it is a great store/brand.-I gave this location 1 star because of the ill mannered manager Carolina. I am a frequent shopper at Sephora and possibly shop here 5 – 8 times a month. I was excstatic to hear they had opened in Merrick Park right near my home. I received a coupon in the mail(spend $ 50 take off $ 25) and I had recently purchased a product that didn’t suit my needs and figured I can pick a better item, use the credit towards the new item and also use the coupon. When I went to the register the very nice cashier associate Nina was trying to finish the transaction and the manager intervened basically saying I wasn’t allowed to use my returned 28 $ credit with the coupon — even though the new item was double the price… this rubbed me the wrong way as I should not be forced to spend an additional $ 25 just to use a coupon when i already had a $ 28 credit(the coupon never mentioned I couldn’t use my exchange as a credit) and I shouldn’t have to calculate numbers and teach math to a retail store manager. Carolinas body language and seemingly bothered tone towards me was unexceptable. Working in customer service may be a difficult career however if you’re going to make clients feel uncomfortable because they are using a coupon — then maybe customer service isn’t the job for you let alone a store manager in customer service.

This location recently opened 2 days ago in Merrick Park across from the Athleta store on the second floor(it took over the Bebe clothing store spot on the corner). Compared to other Sephora locations it’s rather small with more of a focus on makeup and other skin productions than perfumes(the perfume section is in the back). However, on the upside they have plenty of sales associates to assist you if needed. I appreciate that they carry a wide variety of travel size products and although the store is small, they managed to distribute the products throughout the space in a way that makes for an enjoyable and comfortable shopping experience. They also have a doggie water bowl just outside of the entrance. Woof!
