The kids loved it! For my daughter’s 12th birthday we did something alittle different. We had ordered a 21 foot water slide and we have a pool, but I was alittle unsure of what to cook. Not sure about the rest of you, but I always do the cooking for our parties and to be honest I wanted to take a damn break. So I got turned on to this local food cart that serves Hawaiian Shaved Ice and hot dogs. I called them up, asked a few questions, the owner Brian asked how many people etc, and I booked them for the party. The price was reasonable, but you need to call because they have different packages available. Best part for me was that they bought the food, some snacks/candy and drinks. Brian said he would bring the receipts and we could square up the price of the supplies when they showed up. They showed up on time and set up near my pool. The cart is your basic set up that you see selling hot dogs except the featured item was the shaved ice with a hot dog station on the side, see pic. Man, the kids were so excited and couldn’t wait to order some food. Brian had Sabrets dogs with all the fixings, slim jims, cotton candy, ring pops, bags of potato chips and of course shaved ice. It was like having our own concession stand at our house. That $hit was pretty damn cool and once I told the kids they could have whatever they wanted and as much as they wanted their eyes got as big as manhole covers LOL. Everyone was really happy. As for me I scarfed down some dogs with some sauerkraut and sabrets onions. I then asked for a watermelon shaved ice that I promptly floated with watermelon vodka… lol. Good stuff. The kid in me was alittle sad when they started closing up to call it a day:( Overall, professional service and very customer friendly. More importantly, my daughter pulled me aside and told me it that this was the best birthday party ever. She planted a kiss on my cheek and then did a cannon ball in the pool. Does it get any better than this folks, I think not. Remember to tell Brian that Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!
