I came here based solely on the fact that Checker’s no longer exists in Illinois. I went to the counter because why not? I watched five people go through the drive through before I was helped. If you aren’t interested in waiting, just us the drive through.
I had the big chicken sandwich. At home, we just call it a crispy chicken. It was not big and it wasn’t very thick of a cut of chicken. It was still good.
I think the fries are what brings people here. The fries are battered, seasoned, and then deep fried. Apparently, people love them enough to create an XL size. At home, we just call it a large cup of pop.
All in all, not bad for what it was. Was it worth the special trip? Probably not but fortunately, I did not fly down here to eat at Checker’s!

I came to this checkers yesterday because i recently moved from california and wanted to see what its about. i decided to walk up to the window so i could get a better look at the menu before ordering. good thing i needed the extra time to check out my choices because noone came to the window to help me for at least 5 minutes. and when he did, he opened the window and just stared at me. no «hello,» or «good afternoon,» or «how can i help you?» the whole transaction he didnt say a word. Once i did order, the food was ready pretty fast, but once again the window opened and a different gentlemen just stuck the bag out the window at me and responded to my thank you by just closing the window.
Overall, the food was pretty good but the service will either make me not return or choose a different checkers.

Went here today and the food and service was great. I’ve been here many times and the food and service is always good. The employees seem to enjoy their job and it shows
