Love the ambiance. Love the food. The price is a tad high. But the meal and the experience is worth the price. All of the staff knows their stuff and do a great job.

We have been eating at the Melting Pot forever. Last night we celebrated our 14th anniversary there, and had one of the most amazing experiences. The food was delicious, the service was so attentive, and the manager, Will made our night. If you’re looking for somewhere special, I highly recommend eating here!

My boyfriend and I had dinner here for the first time tonight after reading all the great reviews on Unilocal.I’ll be honest, while it wasn’t terrible I don’t understand why everyone raves about this place. When we went at around 6PM on a weekday and the place was dead. We were the only ones in there and the hostess asked us if we had reservations(lol) and when we said no she said she’d be able to seat us shortly. We didn’t wait long at all I just found it weird that she asked us about reservations when we were the only ones in the restaurant. Our server, whose name I can’t remember, was super nice and friendly in explaining the process because it was our first time. We decided to share a single four course experience because we didn’t feel comfortable spending $ 40+ a person on something we weren’t sure we’d like, which ended up being a smart choice on our end. Our cheese fondue was really good, we got the Swiss alpine. I’m sure all of them are great though, you could dip cardboard in melted cheese and it’d be delicious. For our entrée, we chose steak lovers. I’m not sure what I expected but it’s literally raw meat boiled in a broth. I forget the name but we chose the broth that had red wine and garlic. It sounds good but you drop your steak in and boil it for two minutes, so it loses any flavor you’re expecting. You just end up with tough, small chunks of steak. If you’re thinking of sharing one entrée between two people, it won’t be enough. Now of course it was our choice but it’s a pretty steep price of $ 35+ for probably less than 6 ounces of steak. It comes with raw potatoes and broccoli but again, boiling something for a few minutes just doesn’t taste good. The chocolate fondue was good but same idea with the cheese, it’s melted chocolate. Our bill came out to about $ 57 and we left feeling hungry and disappointed. Cool experience, nice service, but entrée was blah. We probably won’t return.

The food, experience and ambience is always good at the various Melting Pot locations and this one is no exception. However, for five star prices, there is sometimes two star service. Our reservation was not ready and we waited fifteen minutes for a table to open up. We saw two open tables from the waiting area that were later filled but not offered to us. There was no apology for the wait. We also had to wait longer than usual for our food to be brought out. By this time, the fondue pot had boiled off and needed to be topped off. Our server was friendly and accommodating but we should not have had to wait for our table or so long for our food(especially since it we are doing the cooking). Having pointed out all the negatives, this is still a must-visit restaurant with maybe a better experience in slower week nights. Great for special occasions or a longer dinner for good conversation, the Melting Pot is always good. Try the Swiss cheese fondue, a much tastier experience than the cheddar even for those who do not normally prefer Swiss cheese. The house salad dressing is rightly famous.

I didn’t quite know what to expect when my girlfriend brought me to The Melting Pot, but I will say this… it completely exceeded my expectations. We arrived without making a reservation because it was a last minute decision. The hostess admitted that there may be some difficulty seating us without a reservation, but would do everything she could to accomodate us. So we sat at the bar and ordered a drink. Wouldn’t ya know it, by the time we were done with our drinks a table was ready for us! I was initially a tad bit confused by the menu because of a la carte items vs. Combos, but I was able to figure it out… eventually(d’oh!). We ordered a filet mignon, sausage and chicken combo with vegetables. The idea is to place what you want on skewers and let them cook in the broth of your choice. Cooking times are minimal. Usually just a few minutes. But prior to the main course was the cheese fondue with multiple dipping items(bread, apples). Everything was super delicious and the staff couldn’t be any friendlier. Oh and on to the dessert portion of the meal! The chocolate fondue menu… Talk about chocolate overload! A pot of melted chocolate and peanut butter with various items for dipping. My favorite was the brownie. Folks if you’re searching for a new, exciting and unique dining experience, The Melting Pot is the place to go. Just don’t forget to make a reservation!

We’ve been coming here for years but tonight we came for our engagement celebration. The manager came over and asked how everything was and also asked us what the occasion was and not only did he congrat us but brought us glasses champagne on the house for the celebration! I thought it was really great. He’s an excellent manager I didn’t get his name but he has glasses and he worked Monday night. Our service was excellent as well. He was from Colorado. I don’t remember his name either lol. I love this place. Truly love it all.

Came here for a date night out, and even though we have been to other melting pots before, this was our first time at this location. We always love the melting pot food, but never experienced one with above-and-beyond customer service like this location. We had Michelle as our server, she was awesome, but every single person here made sure we were taken care of too! We definitely will be returning!!! Awesome experience :)

Server was awesome and loved the food, we were very impressed and appreciated the effort to make everything right. The Melting Pot is a fantastic fondue restaurant with an accent on customer service. The very friendly staff is constantly making sure you’re satisfied with the service. The food is excellent. You cook it yourself. You skewer the meats and put them in a bubbling pot of broth until they are done. The vegetables just go in loose and you spoon them out when done. I love this place. It is so much fun cooking your shrimp, beef, chicken, ravioli, broccoli, carrots and potatoes. The meal starts with a delicious salad! I love the lettuce wedge with blue cheese and bacon salad. It’s just fabulous. A Miller Lite goes nicely with all of this(Ice cold of course) You could end the meal here and be satisfied. They start with a pot of fantastic cheese sauce that you dip your vegetables and breads into as it bubbles beautifully. You swirl the cheese sauce onto the skewered bread or vegetable, put it onto your plate and enjoy! The Melting Pot server then brings a pot of pre-heated broth for the meats to be cooked in. They have different preparation times that your server suggests. You are presented with several sauces to choose from for your meats. The sauces are all very tasty and add a lot to the meal. After enjoying the salad, preparing and consuming the cheese fondue with bread and vegetables, cooking and eating the shrimp and meats, you are ready for the real highlight of this wonderful meal – the Chocolate Fondue! Your server brings fresh skewers to prepare your dessert. He or she also brings a beautiful pot of Chocolate Sauce. You dip various cookies, pound cake, marshmallow, rice krispies treats and sliced bananas and strawberries into the fabulous chocolate sauce and enjoy the greatest part of your dinner. You get a choice of milk, dark or white chocolate. I love milk chocolate best, but you can’t go wrong whichever you choose. You have to remember to pace yourself throughout this tremendous experience. It was a memorable night!

We had a great experience and I was very excited about the«mother, son date night». They had a shortened menu that you could choose from. Appetizer was either classic cheddar or the artichoke, spinach cheese fondue. We went for the cheddar and it was great. The apples in my opinion was not a great pairing to dip into the cheese though. Next came dinner. Boys 12& under got steak, chicken and ravioli. Mine came with shrimp, chicken and steak. I told the waiter I don’t eat steak, he was fine with just giving me more chicken. Dessert you could choose from milk, white or dark chocolate. We chose milk, however, I wish the ‘s mores fondue was also on the menu. Pricing was $ 24.99 for the mom(me) & $ 19.99 for children. I believe this is the pricing it should always be instead of $ 40ish dollars a plate. The melting pot even had a cute questionnaire for mother & son to add to the bonding experience. My son also loved it here. We will be back if you have another mother/son date night. But not at original price. A child and mother who doesn’t eat much should never have to pay 100 for dinner.

SERVICEWASGOODFOODWASGOOD BILLWASINCORRECT!!! Watch for a $ 5.00 service charge! What is this for? It doesn’t state anywhere on menu a service charge especially after I gave her a $ 27.00 tip on a 126.74 bill!!! Very sneaky! I will not visit this place again due to this ridiculous non-disclosed charge! And this was for 2 guests… Check # 2074 server Courtney 403 Maybe they will be gracious and refund me the $ 5.00. It’s not the money it’s the point! I sent a message to the business let’s see if they care about their guests…

My boyfriend and I decided to go to The Melting Pot last Friday for dinner… The food was great, the service not so much. We arrived at 8:20 for our 8:30 reservation, we waited about 20 mins to be sat which was no problem but once we got sat we didn’t see a server for a little while. Once we ordered(the 4 course dinner; the classic) the food came in a decent amount of time and it was all extremely tasty. The smores chocolate fondue is to die for!!! This place is a unique dining experience and everyone should try it out at least once. The server knew we didn’t receive very good service and gave us a $ 20 off next visit which was very nice especially since we didn’t mention we were unhappy with the service. I like that they seem to care about their customers experience. I will be back!

A lot of people don’t see the appeal in fondue and this restaurant. Their main complaint is that they have to pay a good amount of money to cook their own food. Well, I for one love this experience and love the quality of food that comes along with the melting pot experience. My boyfriend and I have come to this location many times, sometimes to have a cheese and chocolate snack when we don’t want to eat too heavily for dinner, sometimes to eat a full dinner, and sometimes just for dessert. I can tell you that we love any of the three options. We’ve been here for occasions with family and by ourselves just for fun or for a lovey dovey celebration. Always a good time regardless of why we’re there. The service is 9 times out of 10 good. The servers are usually friendly but it does always take them quite awhile to return with drinks and food and to check up on you, no matter how friendly they are. I believe the waiters have to prepare their ingredients manually so I don’t usually mind it. I highly recommend coming here if you’ve never been. It’s definitely an experience worth having. But make sure you go in knowing what to expect. It’s not your typical restaurant where you go in and order food and it’s all set and ready to go for you. Each experience is unique and each combination of cheese, entrée, appetizer, drink, and dessert is customized based on your cravings. Also, I highly recommend making reservations if possible. If you’re out and about and interested in swinging by last minute, don’t expect to get seated immediately, if at all. It’s just that kind of restaurant. They’re always busy because there’s always someone out there who wants to celebrate an occasion :)

I was going to write this last night, when we got home, but I was so blissfully overstuffed that I just couldn’t put fingers to keyboard. Wow — what a dinner! When we got there, we had a bit of a wait, trying to figure out where the hostess was, so I immediately thought, «Gee, I hope this doesn’t set the pace for the service.» Eventually she did appear and we only had to wait a couple of minutes to be shown to our table, and yes, we did have reservations. As we were seated we were asked if we wanted the curtains up or down. This took me totally by surprise, as I’ve never been seated in a booth at a restaurant that came with privacy curtains. In spite of the fact that it was our 37th anniversary, we really didn’t plan to do anything but eat at the time, so we opted to leave the curtains up. Next came the decisions. Those were really hard. First was what to drink. I generally don’t drink when we go out because drinks are so flippin’ expensive for what you get, but my sweet husband said he thought I should. I opted for the signature«Meltini,» made with X Rated Fusion, Triple Sec, sweet and sour mix and a splash of an unnamed fruit juice. This was a good drink. No, I mean this was a GOOD drink! It was sweet without being cloying, smooth and refreshing. It actually wasn’t badly priced, especially comparing it to what we usually see. Next was the dinner. We had a Groupon that offered 3 courses; salad, a create your own entrée and dessert. I don’t know what my husband was thinking when he looked at the Groupon and didn’t notice that it didn’t have a cheese fondue. Really? Melting pot with no cheese? So, before we got there, we discussed the possibility of asking them to let us trade out the chocolate in favor of a cheese. I suspect that they have had this happen before. We never got around to asking, as they immediately offered us a discount on the cheese fondue as part of the Groupon offer. Great! We could have the best of all possible fondue dinners for a decent upcharge($ 5 per person). There were several cheese fondues that sounded really intriguing. We decided to go outside the traditional block of cheddar and ordered the gorgonzola with bacon. I was a bit hesitant, since it is a pretty strong flavor but the menu said that it was a blend of three cheeses, so what the heck, we were celebrating and that should always be an adventure. It wasn’t long until Nika, our server, brought the pot and all the ingredients to the table and started blending. This concoction, was unbelievably good. It was served with apple chunks, some veggies and the traditional bread. Yep, the bread is mine. It was so good, I just wanted to scratch the rest of the menu and order more, but that wasn’t one of the options. We all but licked the pot clean. Next was the salad. We chose the California salad of mixed field greens with a black walnut/raspberry dressing(which you can buy bottled), candied pecans and gorgonzola crumbles. It was totally delicious. So, we were ready for the entrée. This one was more complicated for the decision making process as there were a wide variety of meats and cooking bases. We decided to stick with the regular broth, which we had had before and knew we liked. The more designer broths were an uptick in price by another $ 5+. From the list of about a dozen or more meat options, we went with the filet mignon, the sesame crusted ahi and(just to be different) the chicken potstickers. We each got a plate with four big chunks each of the fish and steak and two big potstickers. They came accompanied by six signature sauces ranging from a mild curry to a spicier teriyaki. Every one of them was yummy. It didn’t matter what I dipped in what, it was all good. They also added mushrooms and potatoes to the broth. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. About the time I didn’t think I could eat another bite, Nika reappeared with the dessert menu. Choices, choices. We immediately eliminated any of the white chocolates. If it’s white, it ain’t chocolate. I would have loved to try the milk chocolate with crunchy peanut butter, but my husband wasn’t so sure. We finally agreed on the dark chocolate but couldn’t decide what to add in. We thought a mocha would be nice, but there wasn’t anything like that on the menu. Nika immediately offered to add Kahlua instead of the liqueur choices on the menu. Thankfully, it took her a bit longer this time to come out with the ingredients. I think she knew that we needed a bit of a resting period. We also had a bit of time to let it get up to the proper degree of heat, which she told us would make it taste even better. It was a heavenly concoction. While I like pound cake, rice krispy treats, etc., I wish I could have gone with an entire plate of fruit dippers, especially strawberries. They were soooo good dipped in that luscious chocolate. From beginning to end, I couldn’t ask more of an anniversary dinner. It was perfect.

OK, it seems a bit self-serving to give a Five-Star to a place that you cook for yourself, but nonetheless it deserves 5 Stars! We have been enjoying the Melting Pot over and over for years. The people here at the Coral Springs restaurant are AWESOME, always friendly super-helpful and add to the dining experience. Now on to the food: Cheese, Cheese, and more Cheese it’s the only way to start a meal. If you’re new to the experience, start with the Traditional Swiss, then on your next visit branch out. Dinner: Go with the Court Bouillon and your preference of protein.(Don’t do the oil/fried version, its too heavy and a waste of extra calories) Dessert: Chocolate… Chocolate galore! Hot liquid chocolate dripping off a rice krispy treat. What more do I need to say. Great bar drinks too if you are up for some delicious libations.

This was my second time to The Melting Pot, but first time to the Coral Springs location. My first time here was for a Unilocal event that was amazing and made we drooling to come back. The problem, my boyfriend is allergic to dairy. The fix, arrange a girl’s night with friends for some cheese and chocolate. The girl’s night turned out GREAT! Our waitress(I wish I remembered her name) was so friendly and helpful. We had reservations for a group of 7 and were seated promptly once everyone had arrived. Our table had 3 burners and was nice and clean. The only down side at this point(and of the night) was that the hostess didn’t seem to understand she was clearing away too many utensils even though we repeatedly asked her to leave one. I had to physically take one out of her hands before she left us. We ended up ordering 3 different cheeses, 1 entrée and 2 different chocolates. For the cheeses, we ordered the Classic Alpine, Loaded Baked Potato Cheddar and I think the Spinach Artichokes or the Cheddar. All cheeses were served with slices of white and rye bread, apples, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and grape tomatoes. The latter two were our favorites and we’d definitely order them again. I can’t comment on the entrée but everyone who tried it seemed pleased with what they had. I heard the lobster was yummy. As for the chocolates, we ordered the Cookies ‘n Cream Marshmallow Dreams and the Flaming Turtle. For each pot we got added a shot of alcohol which they flambed for us tableside. It was pretty cool to see. To dip in the chocolate, we were given strawberries, bananas, pineapples, graham cracker covered marshmallows, Oreo cookie crumb covered marshmallows, rice krispy treats and pound cake. Cost wise, I was worried about how much it was going to be in the end. To my surprise, my total(food split 7 ways + my one drink) was around $ 35 after tip. The food and service was fantastic. We had such a great time chatting and hanging out together that this will definitely be an evening we do again.

The Melting Pot in Ft Lauderdale hosted a community Unilocal event a few months back, and I had such a good time, I’ve been meaning to go back ever since, and when I saw what The Melting Pot in Coral Springs was offering for Dine Out Ft Lauderdale I knew it was time to head in. We had attempted to make reservation for sometime around 6pm on a Saturday, but being that we called at 2pm on that Saturday, they were all booked up until at least 8, and that didn’t work for our schedule that night, so we pushed our Melting Pot date to Sunday. Arriving on Sunday evening it was very quiet inside the restaurant, and there didn’t seem to be many customers at all, so it seems Saturday is especially busy for them. We were seated immediately in a nice cozy booth with a curtain, and our waitress introduced herself. We mentioned that we were there for the Dine Out Ft Lauderdale promotion. They didn’t have the special advertised on the menu, so they aren’t pushing it, but the waitress was very friendly and accommodating when we mentioned it. The Dine Out promotion included a choice of cheese fondue, salad, a variety of meats(lobster, chicken, shrimp, two kinds of steak, and ravioli) that were accompanied by veggies, as well as a chocolate fondue for dessert. With the special we were able to chose anything off the menu, even the«premium» items… all this for $ 35 a person. For our cheese we chose the Wisconsin trio(fontina, gorgonzola, and some other cheese I can’t pronounce with a touch of white wine.) The cheese was absolutely delicious and the staff is very accommodating, need more bread or veggies for dipping? No problem, we had them in seconds. For salad I went with the Melting Pot house salad and my boyfriend got the Caesar. We were both very happy, but I think my choice was a little better as the Melting Pot house dressing is quite delicious. Next came the main course(I’ll admit I was a little full already). We chose the coq au vin cooking style which had a nice rich flavor that really went well especially with the steak and potatoes. We happily cooked and talked, and again the staff was more than happy to bring us extra veggies. I can’t talk about the main course without mentioning the sauces. They have numerous sauces to use on your meat and veggies… my favorites are the gorgonzola and the green goddess, but they are all great, and I was eating many of them on their own with a spoon. Finally, dessert. We chose the cookies and cream fondue, which was chocolate swirled with marshmallow and oreo cookies accompanied by a plate of sweets to dip. My favorite dippers are the bananas and the rice krispy treats, but there are also marshmallows, strawberries, brownies, and pound cake. At this point I was absolutely stuffed, but the way they time things here, and the experience of dipping, and cooking, and chatting, makes it seem like less food(until you think about it later). It’s a really great place for a date night, romantic, but still fun. The Dine Out Ft Lauderdale menu is a steal, so hurry in before November 6th for a great Melting Pot experience.
