Rain, wind, and more to come(but Juaquin is going to miss us). Definitely a night for«Comfort Food» and L’s was the perfect choice. The meatloaf is nothing less than great — it’s BETTER than mom used to make(sorry mom). Always worth the drive, never disappoints!

We ate here Saturday August 8th& enjoyed it immensely! If you loved Busch’s(Sea Isle City) She Crab Soup their crab bisque is an excellent 2nd! Loved the bar atmosphere, wear your comfortable clothes. We had fried calamari — very good, prime rib, and seafood white sauce over angel hair. We think this will become a new favorite regular spot!

Went here on Halloween and it was busy. Clams casino was very tasty, the Philadelphia cheesesteak with fried onions was good. I will be coming back again, I will support this veteran owned business. Check the website for the specials. Semper Fi &RLTW

Have never been disappointed in a meal here. Until tonight. To be fair it was my husband’s meal not mine. Saturday is prime rib and lobster night special. I got the lobster he got the $ 26 prime rib«special». When it arrived at our table we both were surprised at the small portion. We dine out a lot. We’ve had prime rib specials twice the size and for $ 18-$ 20. He said it was delicious, but was disappointed at the portion. We’re always telling family and friends how good it is, how big the portions are. This won’t stop us from coming back, he just won’t order the prime rib :) My lobster stuffed with crab imperial was very good, as was the creamless cream of broccoli soup. Ceaser salad made with fresh anchovies, very good.

Husband and I decided to take a ride and look for a restaurant for dinner. We had three rules: it had to be somewhere we’ve never been, not a chain, and not a dive-y bar. We saw L’s restaurant on rt 50 and decided that was the place. The entrance has a large tribute to our military. Very nice. We were seated in a booth. The seat cushions were shot, and we sank down lower than a comfortable height for the table. The DJ was loud. But, it’s a bar and it was 8 pm on a weekend. About twenty people were dancing. My husband ordered the filet. It was delicious. It came with broccoli and mashed potatoes and fried onion strings. I ordered lasagna. It was a huge disappointment. A puddle of Ricotta cheese and sausage all mixed together. One lasagna noodle on top. Then thick mozzarella, and too much tomato sauce on top. Not what I was expecting at all. It was a big soupy mess. Blech. Won’t go there again.

Spontaneous trip across the bridge from OC netted us a REALLY great night. We chose a booth in the bar area. It was nice being part of the bar scene(great local vibe) but removed from it at the same time. Took our server a few minutes to arrive but after that we never wanted for better service. Also had an endearing chat with the owner. We shared some good wings to start. They came out with the warm bread and a dish with seasoned olive oil, a roasted head of garlic and roasted peppers. My stuffed meatloaf was good, so was Mom’s Tuscany Chicken Sandwich but the REAL showstopper was Barb’s Vegetarian Rizotto. It was rich and featured a great assortment of savory vegetables. No room this time for dessert. Overall a great night out.

We’ve been to L’s a couple times over 3 years and we always wonder why we don’t go there more often. The it hits us: THESERVICEISSLOW. Like about an hour for the order to come out slow. We hit our heads and say«THAT’S WHYWENEVERCOMEHERE!» The food is OK… quite good for a podunk town bar/restaurant, actually. The prices are decent too and so is the atmosphere. The owner is very friendly as are the staff… its the service… sooooo slooooooooow. If you don’t mind waiting an unreasonable amount of time for food… try it out. If you do mind waiting… be ready to wait… and be upset. But hey, I warned you.

What’s not to like? The staff, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere(whether you’re looking for fine dining or tavern fare) is perfect. Seasonal drinks(their Gingerbread martinis at Christmas were to die for), Happy Hour specials(half-price appetizers!)… it’s just terrific!

My wife and I have eaten here about a half dosen times and the food was great every time. It is an upscale bar/resturaunt that is located on the old Corbin House location. Tonight we started off with a crab bisque which was excellent with the warm bread that was provided. My wife ordered the baked stuffed jumbo shrimp, and I ordered the seafood fra-diablo. both were ok. The meal comes with a dinner salad which was pretty good. We shared a cup of decaf and a piece of peanutbutter pie for dessert. Both were very good. Be sure to try the roast pork sandwitch. It is delicious!
