While on our drive North we had decided to stop midway in Georgia for the night. Off the exit was the Fairfield Inn and Suites and we had decided to try our luck there. Once getting to the counter the staff was nice and gave us the price for 1 room with a King size bed($ 135) but with a AAA discount it come to $ 10 less. The BF called the Holiday Inn Express to compare prices and they were identical. As far as the room went it was clean and orderly. Nothing to write home about at all. I can tell you that the toilet was super noisy, every time we needed to use it it felt like we were in an airplane bathroom and it scared us with each flush. The breakfast was a basic continental spread. There were 3 options for cereal, some instant oatmeal and grits packets, instant eggs, biscuits and gravy. One thing that was nice is that they did have a separate hot drink bar which was stocked with coffee and tea options which a guest could access at any point in their stay. Again the hotel is nothing to write home about but it was decent for our uses which was to rest and sleep before making the next leg of the drive.

Driving thru and stopped in to check availability. The front desk receptionist was friendly and offered a good rate. It’s your typical older Fairfield where some upgrades have been done. The lobby and breakfast area is updated. The rooms are older without all the normal updates that some fairfields have done. It’s right off the interstate and there are plenty of food options. No frills just a nights stay while passing thru. Would stay here again.

Stayed over night on a stormy night headed back to Atlanta from Florida. Fairfield sits right off the 75 around many places to grab a bite/fill up your tank, also walmart is a good mile down the road with Golden Corral across the street for those who like buffets. Very nice front desk rep checked me in with no problem, other employees were there they were dressing the lobby with Very Beautiful holiday décor. All the hotels details of breakfast, wifi and locations for snack machine etc was given and i was off to my room. I went inside my room to find a very clean, comfy room escaping the wet storm going on outside on this night, The tv channels were plenty, tho i was on my tablet most of the evening. The beds were very comfortable, no noise from traffic or loud neighbors it was very peaceful. I got up early and headed back toward Atlanta after a restful nights sleep. If i had to stay again i would.(As long as its kept up and not runned down)

We stopped off exit 101 from 75 North hoping this would be a good halfway point for our 8 hour trip. We saw some signs for a $ 69/night best western. We didn’t like the idea of outside entrance rooms so we opted for the more expensive option at Fairfield.($ 121/night with AAA discount.) We were sure that the price would coincide with quality and cleanliness. We were wrong. As soon as we walked into the elevator we should’ve known. The carpet in the elevator was nasty, like it hadn’t been shampooed this year, and it hadn’t been vacuumed for a week. The room itself smelled musty and felt dank. The A/C had been turned off and so the temp was at 78. That should’ve been our second clue that this room had been neglected for a while. We found hairs in the sheets, pillows and bathroom floor. There was dust and dirt all over the room surfaces(phones, desk.) The toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned after the last guest left. We switched rooms. The second room may have been turned around more recently, but it was still dirty. The bathroom, especially, was bad. The floor hadn’t been mopped in a while and it showed. There were noticeable stains, more hair and some weird ring under the sink. The corners had dust and hair. Four of the eight pillows had stains on them. The furniture in the room was old and stained too. It was a huge disappointment for the most expensive hotel on this strip.

This Marriott property is not up standard. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The suite we booked didn’t have hot water in the shower and had to change rooms. Trains all night long. Sofa springs were shot.

Stopped here to take a nap as I became sleepy while driving. Seems nice enough. They have an indoor pool and hot tub. The room I had was fine. Hot water, AC worked, Tv worked. Not sure you could ask for more. The wi-fi was free. But that could be because I’m a rewards member. I’m not sure.

This is a very typical traveler’s motel. It is clean enough, comfortable enough. Nothing special. HOWEVER, Diana, the woman in charge of the breakfast room is utterly charming and makes the stay something special. It is clear she loves her job and she loves the people who visit! Stop at this motel JUST for her!

WHOEVERTHOUGHTBUILDING A HOTELBESIDETRAINTRACKSWASANIDIOT! However, besides the train tracks and being placed in a room right beside the elevator to be awaken at 6am in the morning by screaming kids, the stay was very nice. We arrived late in the night, and they courteously found us a room, AND because our room was delayed, they upgraded us to a suite with no charge!!! It was a great addition to out stay and really spoiled us on the trip. The suite was perfect and the breakfast in the morning was pretty good: eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, coffee, OJ, and a whole lot more complimentary. I’d definitely recommend this hotel!
