We drove out of our way to come eat here again — even picking a campground nearby so we could eat at the dinner buffet. It’s great country cooking(yes, with pork and butter and salt for flavor). The pecan pie is amazing — and they sell whole pecan pies too. Just yummy!

We ate the buffet. The fried chicken and chicken salad were good along with the desert. The salad was on its last leg. This place needs a good cleaning. The ledges had a ton of dead flies on it and the floors were slick like they were greasy. It took us forever to check out because the cashier was on a cigarette break. My question is if there are 3 other people working, why couldn’t they cash us out? I was not overly impressed. We should of ordered off the menu.

Literary the definition of a delicious southern meal!!! I usually hate home cookin’ restaurants because they never really cool it like at home, but this place really changed my mind! Even the buffet was amazing! Definitely wasn’t expecting that, I will be back for sure!

I’d give no stars because we really wanted to try this place… couldn’t find it! Unilocal address and directions took us to a field with nothing around. To make matters worse, no one answered the phone to give us directions. Oh well, your loss of a party of 6!

After reading all the great reviews I was very disappointed In The food we wanted a good southern buffet and this was not it. The dessert was good. The staff was wonderful but I would recommend trying to order off the menu.

Really good home style food… BUTTHEDESSERTSWOW!!! Service is friendly. The food on the buffet is replaced often so it is fresh. Great value for price, 3 meats at least, veggies, salad bar, and dessert.

The best good home cooking. The food was fresh and hot. This was Georgia cooking at its best! We have passed this many times but had never stopped. It is a must try.

This is one the best places ever, better than Paula Deen’s place and many many others, This is the palace of fresh food, amazingly done, I stop on my way and back from Atlanta and some times just go there for the heck of the grand food experience, I am based in Jacksonville Florida where they are clueless about good food,

We ate supper at Shelias on 5÷14÷12. My wife and I both had the buffet and were very pleased. The food was fresh and hot. The staff was friendly, and the prices were good. If you like Southern style, home cooked food you’ll love it here.

this place was recommended to us by a local hotel front desk clerk… although a little off the beaten path is was so worth the drive. Had the lobster stuffed flounder that had more lobster than flounder, it was served with a side dish and hush puppies… for and extra $ 3, you could get the AYCE salad and dessert bar, well worth the price especially for the homemade pecan pie. My mom had the catfish dinner, she said it was amazingly fresh. Don’t pass on this place, what a fantastic find!!!

Two hours of driving from Macon to Albany during early afternoon… I thought I’d take my chances and see what kind of town I’d stumble through along the way. Coming from either direction on Rt. 300, you can’t miss the big sign for the Salt Lick Sausage Company. Shelia’s is attached right next door. While it was obvious I wasn’t from these parts of Georgia, it seems like its fairly common for visitors to come strolling through looking for a decent meal. The restaurant manager stopped by a few times to make sure I was taken care of properly, and even offered me a second plate with a wink, since I had piled a fair amount of chicken on the little plates from the buffet. Talk about your typical southern meal… fried chicken, mashed potatoes, collard greens, a bunch of other unidentified fried foods, veggies sauteed in heavy butter, and plenty more artery clogging foods that I bypassed. Including the huge buffet devoted exclusively to desserts. I am happy to report that they did offer baked chicken breasts in addition to the crunchy, tasty fried version. And I tasted both. When in Rome… except I wasn’t in Rome… that was yesterday… and this is Cordele. Anyways. While Shelia’s lunch offerings were a treat to try, I can’t say I’ll be back anytime soon. My wardrobe can not afford to accommodate the type of waistline I’d inherit if I became a regular at Shelia’s. I will thank the staff for their friendly, southern hospitality!
