I was in my way to Atlanta coming from Leesburg and saw this place. Had to stop here. This place is a gem. Old fashioned country store. Love it. This place is so friendly and hospitable. They have a super large variety of home made sausages. Links, bulk and deer as well. If you look on the shelves they also have some good home made sauces for you to try too. A definite must stop.

Great variety of sausages and meat cuts. Had the pork loin sandwich and took a bag of jerky to boot.
First time here but I’ll come with cooler next time I’m headed northbound on the FL/GA parkway.

I live in Colorado and travel to Georgia about twice a year and every time I go through Cordele, I have to stop and buy beef jerky there, It is absolutely the BEST Jerky I have found.

This place was a real find for us, driving along Highway 300 (GA-FL Parkway). Great sausage dog and roast beef sandwich. The meats looked wonderful — wish we’d had room for another cooler — I’d have filled it. PLUS The people are terrific. This will be a regular stop for us … and I’ll bring that extra cooler.

I’m a big fan of Salt Lick and stop by EVERY time on the way through, usually for a sausage dog.

This is a must stop on our way home from Tallahassee. The main reason? The jalapeño cheddar sausage. The store is basically a country store with a restaurant and gas station attached. You can get all the southern standards here like fresh pork rinds and chitlins, along with fresh vegetables when they are in season. The staff is nice, the place is clean and the variety of food stuffs quite amazing.

You can’t go wrong stopping here for sausage or any meats! Puts the chain grocery stores to shame. I am spoiled by the freshness and quality. If traveling bring a cooler and buy some ice. The sausage is great for a Saturday morning breakfast!

Cooked up the jalapeño/cheese sausage and the fresh/mild yesterday. WOW. OFF THE FREAKING CHAIN. If one could live on a diet of sausage alone, these would be the ones.
I’ll keep this brief. If you are anywhere near Cordele, make the effort to find Salt Lick Sausage. You will not be disappointed.
IIRC, sausage was $ 3.99/lb.
Dang, forgot to mention, these guys have some fantastic bacon too. It’s the thick cut kind with the rind intact.
