I just moved here and need to find a new salon for bi-​weekly shellac manicures.
I had a mani-​pedi with shellac mani. I picked 2 colors that seemed to match — a raspberry pink. (deep, but not at all red) Everything went fine until the manicure. The color didn’t match the bottle. It must have been faded from the sun because not only did it not match the color on my toes, but it was a cherry red and quite sloppily done. I said, «is that red?» The woman kept saying no, well, maybe…” I said, never mind, use the color from my toes instead and I will just get a regular manicure. She looked and looked for a different shellac and I ended up with bubble gum pink on my nails despite my saying that I would prefer the original color and a regular manicure. On the plus side she applied it a little more neatly than the red.
The total cost came to 50.00.
35.00 for the mani-​pedi plus 15.00 for the shellac. (No wonder she pushed me in that direction) I will not be back, as there are several other salons in my area and I will try them out until I find one I like.
