To be completely honest from the start, I am not a big fan of Memphis style Bar-B-Que. I know, I know, «what’s the matter with that guy?» Well, I’m from the southwest and the flavor profile I prefer is a bit different. This Bar-B-Que is pretty darn good. Not only that, they have a very diverse menu with options for everyone. My wife and I have been here several times and have tried a few different things and have not been disappointed with anything we ate. The pulled pork and the chicken were a lot better than I expected and the brisket was down right tasty. As usual, it takes more than just good food to get a good rating from me. The place has been very clean every time we have been there and the service has been outstanding. I recommend this place for a nice Bar-B-Que meal that you don’t have to prepare yourself.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and it was ok. It really tasted on par with Wendy’s. However, the fries were hard, old, and disgusting! I also ordered some wings as appetizers and they’re normally good but today they were dry and hard. I will not try this place again!!!

Jim and Nick’s is one of those places that doesn’t come to mind when I think of somewhere to eat. But the place is a gold mine, I haven’t been to the location on Germantown Parkway in probably over 2 – 3 years since last month and a few days ago. But both times I ate there the service was phenomenal. The smoked turkey is to die for and their Mac and cheese is better than my moms and that’s a compliment in itself. Plan on going back many times in 2016 Recommendations to Jim and Nicks for more customers, Advertise

Checked this place out and it does not stand up to some of the other BBQ places Memphis is known for. The ribs were a bit fatty and the baked beans tasted like they were Bush’s. Overall the food was a 3 out of 5. The customer service experience was subpar. Our waitress couldn’t be found and we actually ended up paying the check with a different waitress.

Considering it is New Years Eve, we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves seated without a wait. While it is not particularly homey, our waitress, Amber, made up for it by being extra friendly and all about customer satisfaction. She went out of her way to make sure our first visit was the best one had. Food was delicious, I especially liked the mac and cheese! I highly recommend trying it!

I love real BBQ and this place has great options even if you’re picky about healthy eating. Much better than a couple of the ‘famous’ Memphis BBQ places like the one downtown. Great variety, friendly and courteous staff. Just good food

This is one of my favorite places to dine. The service is great and the baby back ribs are EXCELLENT! Great place.

Definitely one of my favorite BBQ places in Cordova. They have a drive-thru which I love because I can stop and get dinner on the way home. And the drive-thru is FAST! They have great family meals that serve 4 – 6 people for a good price. The BBQ sandwich with coleslaw is a must try at Jim N Nick’s. A regular for me.

So good! We sat at the bar. They have great beers on draft and a large list of whiskey/bourbons. Our bartender was amazing. Our good came out somewhat fast. I had the bar-b-q-baker. It was a large baked potato with my choice of meat and all of the fixins. It was so good! Quite impressed!

Worse BBQ in Memphis — yuck! Went there for the first time last week. Nice inside — just don’t eat the BBQ.

I love the Greek salad(extra Greek) at Jim & Nick BBQ. It’s right up there with the Rendevous’ Greek Salad!

This restaurant is at a very accessible location near Wolfchase Mall. There was not wait and the service was prompt. Sergio was our waiter and he was very cordial. I ordered 4 different meats ribs, chicken, brisket, and pulled pork. The pork was kind of rough and dry. The rest of the meats were tender, seasoned well and tasty. I also had a side of greens and fries both were delicious. I shared this meal and paid less than 30 dollars! !! Yum

Worth the drive up Germantown Pkwy! And that should be enough said! Smoked sausage, BBQ nachos, Mac and cheese, and homemade BBQ chips were a hit with our family. Great selections of beers both on draft and bottle — but also have a full bar with TVs as well. Kid friendly as well!

We went on a Friday night with a party of 5 and were seated within 3 minutes. I ordered pulled pork with slaw on it and a side of collard greens. The cheese rolls are awesome and it is really hard to limit yourself because they are mini muffin size. The pulled pork was tender and the greens were delicious. Our server was great, just the right amount of attention and very nice. My only complaint was that the atmosphere was incredibly loud. We were in a side room with all wood floors and walls and the rambunctious tables around up really made it difficult to visit. The sound was very amplified, it was like an echo chamber.

Killer food! Been here two summers in a row and it is so worth going! I’m not a BBQ fan, but my fiancé is and he loves it! I love the fried catfish. It’s amazing. Crisp and not mushy. Huge baked potatoes, and the homemade mac and cheese is outstanding. Even my picky kids love the bugers!

Good CAROLINABBQ in Memphis. Vinegary — mmmm, just the way I like it. Needed a break from the sweet Memphis-style BBQ. Good greens … terrible biscuits. WAY, way too sweet … Good customer service. Spouse has a lactose intolerance and they were very accommodating to ensure everything was lactose-free. My only gripe about BBQ at some places is that it is served at room temperature(found that to be the case at a lot of que places). But there is no doubt that this Carolina-style que was a pleasant break from the sweeter Memphis-style. Soft, moist, vinegary zing, mmm, what’s not to love. Good place, in all.

Their Mac and cheese and greens are delicious!

Memphis is a BBQ city so Jim and nicks. It is way overpriced for BBQ in Memphis. It is a large chain. If you eat bbq in Memphis stick with a local place. Jacks BBQ shack, central bbq, tops bbq, Leonard’s bbq, and cozy corner all blow this place out of the water. This is the only bbq place where you can’t order meat by the pound. Ordered the $ 5.00 «Hot Links» appetizer. ONE link of sausage and about two tablespoons of warm pimento and cheese and about the same measure of saice that is already on the table. And 2 packs of crackers. The brisket dinner is $ 17 with two sides and for bbq joints the brisket serving was small. They had cabbage on the chalkboard as a special side beside the door. I asked the server for the cabbage and she looked at me like she was lost. I said«you have cabbage on the board» and she still looked lost for a minute, then said«I think we are out» without offering to check. Since I am trying to eat as little sugar as possible, I then asked if their slaw was sweet or vinegar slaw and she said it wasn’t sweet at all. Well when I got the slaw it was very sweet. Last time here.

From my understanding this place is a local chain. Not gonna lie, was extremely hesitant to eat at a place with a drive-thru! When out of town, I must maximize my local food intake of quality, tasty, local dishes. drive-thrus typically never make the cut. But Memphis is known for BBQ and this place kept rolling off the tongues of locals. plus from what I gathered from all my other BBQ places I researched, let’s just say, I probably shouldn’t be wandering in the dark by myself, in the hood… So with safety a bit on my mind(landed at night) and limited time in the area(less than 24 hours), I drove on through the drive-thru(constantly looking around… I was on edge with the stories that were told)! Here’s the breakdown of my meal for one. yes, I repeat… one person: –Ribs: lightly sauced but served with more on the side. Tender, meaty and super smokey! These ribs were fall off the bone, and seasoned just right! It was the right combo of dry rub(which normally I don’t care for), with just a nice thin sauce to dip each piece in if you prefer. –Pulled Pork: I have never been a fan of pulled pork. Most of the times I’ve tried it, the pork is dry, bland, and has enough sauce on it to cover what it’s missing(which is everything). But THIS pulled pork… this was something else. If this place is not even known as the best BBQ in Memphis, I can’t wait to try what is considered the best because this pulled pork is out of this world! Smokey, flavorful, and doesn’t even need that delicious tangy sauce. Amazing BBQ at its’ finest! YUM!!! Cheesy bread: these bite sized rolls were not only adorable but tasty too! So easy to pop a dozen of these babies in your mouth! Mac n’ Cheese: super cheesy, thick and tastes fresh. Needed a dash of S&P to make it even better! Fried green tomatoes: OMG, who knew these little circles could be so flavorful! Fried in only a light coating of cornmeal, these babies were tangy, flavorful and not salty at all! Usually with any of my fried food, I like to add just a squeeze of citrus, but no need here! Ready to head back and get more!
