Denny’s

After waiting almost an hour for our food… me, my husband and 2yr old left. 1 star only because it’s required…

We ate here on 8÷17÷14 even after reading the bad reviews because the outside was clean and after entering the door, felt it was clean and free of any awful smells. The wait staff was excellent and the food was very good. We spoke to our waiter about the more recent bad reviews and it was explained that a very unfortunate incedent occured with a refrideration truck breakdown and the ensuing mess that was left behind at the truck stop. All of that was cleaned away and the entire exterior sanitized. I think you will find this Denny’s very pleasing.

This place clearly sees a lot if traffic bc of it’s immediate location off the turnpike. And I get that but honestly somebody PLEASE take a water tank of bleach & dump it all over the exterior of this rest stop. It needs a major scrub down! (sidewalks & entire parking lot). This place is one of grossest truck stops ON THE OUTSIDE I have ever been in. The stench was enough to make me hold my breath from my car into Denny’s. I didn’t dine inside Denny’s but it looks a bit threadbare & grotty. It could really use an entire renovation/​overhaul.
I don’t even recommend it for gas bc the smell is so rank outside.
Go to the Subway across the street. Or better yet, go to another exit altogether & get gas & food there.

They should change the name to Mennys because there are so Menny of them.
I’ve only eaten at this Denny’s twice, and it wasn’t too different to any other Denny’s. Which means awful food and unpredictable service. Decent prices and the taste of chemicals and frozen cookie cutter meals. Awful.
However the reason I pick on this Denny’s in particular is because it took over from one of my fave restaurants. And the reason I’ve been here twice since then, is that I have friends who like Denny’s and I like their company, and this is the closest Denny’s to our houses.
I was last here about 3 months ago. I got the Two Moons and we also shared some biscuits and gravy.
I was very disappointed when coming to the Country Kitchen to get my usual Steak & Salmon, to find it was gone forever :(It had been replaced by a Denny’s of all things. I can’t stand Denny’s, but I came in anyway and tried to order the drink I like (Pineapple Dream) which they did not carry anymore, and so the first time I came here I settled for sharing a breakfast with my dinner companion… although for me sharing meant nibbling a few bites of it and then saying «no more for me» because it was so indescribably bland and awful.

It has been a while since I had gone to a Denny’s but during a recent cross country trip I stopped here for breakfast. The breakfast was large and tasty but not up to the quality you will find at a good many small town diners. It is a consistent quality from store to store and if you cannot find a better alternative on Unilocal stop for breakfast.
