Co serv is terrible. My electric was turned off due to non payment. So Thursday I paid the full electric bill 475 plus fees to reconnect totally $ 612.00. They never turned my electric back on Friday, a business day. I called the emergency line 3 x over the weekend and they would not send anyone out. I am a single mother with two small children and they would not help! We had to stay in during this time when temps are at 100 in August! I cannot believe it! Hundreds of dollars of food gone bad along with extremely hot nights! Such a shame these people can be that way!

If you are reading this, you probably are one of the one unfortunate people living in an area that is only able to buy energy through CoServ. The truth is, they have somehow monopolized small pockets of Texas and do not allow energy deregulation in those areas. Therefore, they can charge what they want, shut off service if/​when they want, be slow to service problems… just about anything and you have no say in the matter.
There are a lot of reviews about the bad things that they do, but one of the most humorous is that they make you pay a membership to a co-​op. They say that they distribute funds back to the members of the co-​op,… but if you keep reading, they only will distribute funds IF the members of the board ever decide to distribute. Anyway, Texas is a land where monopolies like this usually don’t exist. It’s a tragedy that CoServ is surviving.

Can i leave zero stars? They work Monday-​Friday 8 – 5, no flexibility for customers that work during the day. They dont do payment arrangements. They have snarky and rude customer service reps. They charge a fee everytime you pay online. Their rates are expensive and they run a monopoly in certain areas. Avoid if at all possible.

COSERV is a SCAM!!! We just moved to Frisco from Plano and we are forced to use Coserv. Our bill is twice as much as it was in Plano. Coserv is a monopoly and charges high rates. Do not move to a city that is monopolized by them. You will pay MUCH higher rates than TXU or Reliant. We would not have moved to Frisco had we known THAT we would be forced to use this company and have to pay high rates! THEY even charge you to PAY THEM! THEY HAVE FEES FOR EVERYTHING!

I wish we had options like other parts of Texas… when you don’t have options, you feel like youre getting the shaft no matter what.

Absolutely horrible company. My experience has been terrible with service cut off twice and hundreds in deposits. They do no payment arrangements whatsoever. They will not even give you 1 extra day before cutting you off, charging $ 100 reconnect and $ 121 in additional deposits. Absolutely horrible service.

This has to be the ONLY utility company that charges a FEE to use their online payment system. EVERY TIME. $ 3.95! How on earth can you possibly justify a $ 3.95 fee for online paperless bill paying? That’s not even with a credit card either because they don’t actually allow credit card payments, only direct transfers from your checking account.
Ridiculous. Currently trying to figure out how to switch to anyone else.

CoServ is a SCAM! Their employees are rude and unprofessional; their billing process is a joke. We were gone almost the entire month of September, yet our usage never went down. Their meter reading system is a scam. If you have options for your electricity, go anywhere but CoServ. Their name should really be CON-​SERVE!
