Hammond Wrecker Service

Best place in Corinth, in my opinion, to get your car’s Mississippi Safety Inspection Sticker. Convenient, always quick in and out, friendly service. Mr. Hammond loves old farm tractors and has a shop full of restored tractors and sawmill equipment.

A friend and I went riding in my 4WD and at the time it had street tires on it. I made loops in an unplanted field. It wasn’t muddy but in the dark I didn’t see a mud hole and slipped off into it. Without mud tires I couldn’t do much to get out of it.
I made a call to Hammond Wrecker to see if they could pull me out. They assured me they could and then quoted me a price. We agreed to the deal over the phone and they would be out within 20 minutes.
Well, the mud hole was a little bigger than I realized, as the wrecker became stuck. We took turn about pulling each other out a little bit at a time. The driver gave up and called another wrecker to come get us both.
The next wrecker came in and began working on the other truck and after about 20 minutes of struggling the second wrecker blew his engine. Of course they have to call a third wrecker to the scene. This third one was a diesel burning monster. It took very little effort on its part to snatch all of us out of the predicament.
When it came time to settle the bill, the owner just shook his head and said, «I told you over the phone it would be $ 25.00 and I’m going to stand by that». They may have changed the policy after that encounter.
I wouldn’t hesitate to call on them again if I need help.
