Threw a birthday party for my beautiful wife at Smiths and it was fantastic! The service was great and the atmosphere was even better! Thank you guys! Would definitely recommend for any type of events.

First trip was lunch menu. We ordered 4 items, didn’t really like any. We will give it another try on the dinner menu as lunch menu was rather boring.

We eat here a lot. Was one of our very favorite places… until last night. We went to the bar ordered very expensive food as we usually do. And several shots and drinks! When we were ready to leave we left a small tip on the card we paid with. I was in the restroom when this happened. I had the cash for the rest of the tip with me in my purse. After my husband paid he was approached by the owner and she proceeded to insult him for not tipping more! Not knowing we were tipping more. She was rude and disrespectful. You do not tell someone what to tip! We will not be back! I am extremely disappointed!

My boyfriend and I decided on this place as second choice. A few months back there was a restaurant where he’d eaten that he couldn’t stop talking about when we arrived to town; we arrived today to visit that same place again, it was gone! In the meanwhile as we drive around, we drive pass SMITH. I initially made jokes about it being another one of the law firms that we kept passing(like. When in trouble who Ya gonna call? SMITH; who you want to take them out? SMITH… LOL! Had to find humor in the midst of hunger) I used Unilocal to look up some places to eat and to my surprise… SMITH. Was not a firm but a restaurant! We stopped and asked for a good place to eat in the area that would have food we probably couldn’t get elsewhere, 2 of 3 suggested SMITH. Well our minds were sold… We had the app for a dip which included spinach, artichoke, cheese and crab. It was okay, not what was expected LOL there was a pretty awesome pic of the dip posted here but once it arrives to the table for devouring… Not so great LOL ++ also not sure where the crab was in the dip LOL maybe lost in the cheese top? Drinks we had their signature drink or specialty that they made up which was pretty awesome, I’d suggest it. Ask for the SULLIVAN Entrée’s were«the burger» and(no quote) «Hot Kentucky«definitely the only thing on the menu with Kentucky in the name LOL. I’d suggest them both. The Kentucky reminds me of the apocalypse burger at The Vortex. I’d strongly suggest ordering this when you have a massive appetitive or else you’re taking some of that home with you. No desert for us. We didn’t have the space in our stomachs. But overall, the restaurant was a good choice. I’d recommend it.

Super slow service, ordered wings and looked like a basket of charcoal how burnt they were. Had a cowboy ribeye, orders medium and got well done, on top of that it was swimming in oil. It was a business dinner invitation, I would not spend a dime here.

It is nice to see a few good places to eat showing up in Corinth. Restaurants like Smith, with an interesting menu, quality service, pleasant atmosphere, and a decent beer selection are few and far between up here in Northeast Mississippi. We eat at Smith regularly and are never disappointed. Catfish/collards, shrimp/grits, burger, poboy, salads, all good. Check the wall for wide selection of local craft beers on tap but then be sure to ask your server for recommendations.

This is seriously a great place! Atmosphere is vintage industrial with a flare of modern class, music is always wonderful and food is creative and consistent everytime! Not only do they have a solid and diverse menu, but the specials that the chef creates provides an option of delicious alternatives! I love it! Lovely people and place!

We went in today(3−10−15) specifically for the lunch special of Brunswick Stew for myself and my husband agreed to have the hamburger and fries again. I ordered a side of french fries to help fill me up. They weren’t busy and, of course, the only two tables with people had to be loud women that didn’t use their indoor voices. The stew was served cold. The fries were an embarrassment and a very infuriating experience. No busier than the place was when we were there the stew should have been hot. The fries were bits and pieces like they were just dumped from the end or last of a bag and a combination of styles. I had steak cut mixed with shoestring and they were NOT whole fries but broken bits and we both had over-cooked bits and crisps that were just the inedible trash from the fryer basket. This has happened to me before, where there were 3 tablespoons of trash and debris that couldn’t be eaten. ANY place claiming ‘fine dining’ should hang their heads in shame for sending a plate out looking like ours. I don’t serve shoddy food like that at home and I will be damned if I continue paying a pretentious restaurant to do it to me. It would do no good to point it out to an uninspired and lackluster waitress. We will not be returning. I do not have a camera phone but, if I did have, I would have taken a photo of the pitiful $ 3.00 fries and posted it. To Each Their Own.

My wife and I ate there last August for our anniversary. The fried green tomatoes were excellent. Great atmosphere. Good food, well prepared and good presentation. After dinner we went upstairs to the bar for a drink. The mixologist was decent and drinks were on par with what you’d expect in Corinth, MS. The prices were about average for the atmosphere and food. I would recommend this restaurant.

I travel quite a bit, and come through Corinth about every six to eight weeks. This is the fourth time that I have eaten at Smith. I have even taken clients there previously. I write this review with mixed feelings, because I have had good experiences up until today. The food is good, and the beer selection is above average(I happen to appreciate craft/local beers). The service on my most recent visit was unacceptable. The disappointing thing is that I sat at the bar upstairs, and was served by one of the owners, Julia(She may be a sole proprietor; not sure on that point.). I had met/spoken with her on a previous visit and expected a similar experience. I was mistaken! It took over five minutes before I was asked what I would like to drink, even though I was sitting at the bar. There were a few others seated at the bar that seemed to garner much more attention. Most were on a first name basis with Julia. Eventually, I was served a beer and a menu. In fairness, Julia came over shortly thereafter and asked if I was ready to order. I stated that I was taking my time, and would enjoy my beverage for a few minutes. Little did I realize that it would be quite a while before I would have a chance to order. Meanwhile, Julia was able to attend to everyone else seated at the bar, and others seated at tables in the bar area. When the opportunity presented itself, I ordered another beer and a sandwich. I took this time to catch up on emails, and such. After 20 minutes, or so, I noticed that some of my bar mates were being served food that was ordered after I had placed my order. Twenty minutes stretched to thirty minutes, and then 45 minutes. It was becoming clear to me that the locals were preferred customers. That is all well and fine… I am a regular in my hometown(which is only 90 miles away), and get the loyalty side of the business. What initially bothered me was that I felt ignored, even though I had made eye contact with Julia on more that one occasion. When you are sitting at the bar and your glass is empty, that is usually a signal to any bartender. After almost 50 minutes of waiting for a roast beef sandwich, I asked Julia if my meal would be coming out sometime soon. She stated that my order was stuck behind a «big party’ that had come in. Ok… except that she then went downstairs and soon returned with my meal. The sandwich was cold, but by this time, I was so hungry(and tired after driving all day), that I would have eaten the napkin! Having recounted this experience, the incident that really frosted me was Julia’s reaction when I paid the bill. I remarked that I had been in a couple of time before, and Julia said she remembered. I went on to remark that my previous visits were enjoyable, but this evening was not a good experience. Julia responded with a curt«I’m sorry», and turned and walked away. That was it. It was clear to me, throughout this whole experience, that she did not value my business. It is one thing to have that type of interaction with a server/employee. It is quite another to receive that treatment from a business owner. Consequently, the chances of me ever setting foot in Smith again are«slim and none».

I was in Corinth for business on October 23, 2014 and dined at Smith with my party of 12. To be honest, my expectations for this dining establishment were not high. I am from Atlanta and did not really think that a restaurant in a semi-rural area could compete with the establishments that I am used to in Atlanta. I WASWRONG! First off, the restaurant has a very unique vibe — upscale but not stuffy and located in the heart of Corinth. It is what I would describe as a hipster joint, which was shocked me considering I was in northeast Mississippi. That Thursday evening, the dining area downstairs was almost vacant, but the bar area upstairs was overflowing. The downstairs would be a great place to go on a date or for a quiet meal with a small group. Upstairs had a fun feel with several TVs and tables, making it well suited for large groups. We sat upstairs at a long boomerang-shaped table with barstools. This was perfect for my large group, who wanted the flexibility of moving around and chatting with one another. The menu included a large selection of craft beer, wine and liquor. I shared the double fried wings and the shrimp appetizer with some of my colleagues. The wings were some of the best wings that I have ever tasted. They were practically dry with very little sauce but had two layers of fried goodness and seasoning. Frying them twice meant that they oozed with twice the deliciousness that I am used to with traditional wings. The shrimp appetizer was also to die for: it was a large shrimp with crabmeat wrapped with bacon and then fried. What else can I say? They are a must-try! I was full from these hearty appetizers, but I had not even touched my entrée yet. I, along with six others at my table, ordered the special, which was an 18 oz. bone-in rib eye steak with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. After the appetizers, I had very high expectations for my main course. However, I’d say that my steak was good, but not amazing. I am probably spoiled from the abundance of fine steakhouses in Atlanta. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it was served very rare. Thankfully, I am okay with eating extremely rare meat. Others in my party ordered their steaks medium and they actually came out well done. That was disappointing after the meal had started on such a high note. The sides of mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus were very good, though. As the experience wound down, my impression only improved. Not only did my entire party request separate checks, but we each separated our alcohol from our food since we could expense our meals to our employers but not our drinks. My table of 12 had more than 20 checks. Basically, we were a server’s nightmare! However, the servers took it all in stride. They used a tablet device that they bring to diners at the table to handle the entire transaction. My credit card never left me, and I did not have to sign a paper receipt, though I could print what I needed to turn in at work for reimbursement. I cannot recommend Smith highly enough. The food and atmosphere far surpassed my expectations of a dining establishment in a quaint town. This is a great spot to sit at a bar and have a drink, go on a date, or celebrate a special occasion with a large group. Few restaurants are well suited for all of those scenarios, but Smith undoubtedly is!

BBQ nachos and the chicken and waffles are amazing. I got the chicken«trashed», which means they fried it twice, and that was very good. The beer on tap was only $ 2-$ 3 each, which is a good price. I would definitely recommend going here. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly.

The food is great and I love the atmosphere. This is a diamond in the rough for Corinth, as good as it get for the area. Never disappointed with the steak, fish, or any other menu items. I will say some times the staff can be less than knowledgable about their food and drink selections. Everything about this place is five star except the formality of the staff, though in their defense they are always very busy and still remain extremely courteous.

This place has potential. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The seating is cool. I loved the big booths, although we weren’t seated there as our party was too big. The ambience was a little cold. Maybe some warmer lighting would help. The menu looked ambitious, but nice. My table split the BBQ nachos and the guacamole. Both were quite delicious. The guac was fresh and was served with homemade chips. The nachos packed some extra crunch with the addition of French fried onions. Most everyone at the table ordered the Blackened Catfish & Collards, which definitely needed a lighter hand with the salt. We believe the culprit was the collards, maybe their brine was over salted. Two others ordered Prime rib, another the prime rib sandwich, one ordered the chicken sandwich, while another ordered only cheese sticks. There were no real comments about those dishes outside someone mentioned the broccoli was good. Prequel to the dinner: It was quite a hassle to reserve seating. 2 weeks ahead, people were going to return calls & email menus, that didn’t happen until the day before my event. There ended up being a party upstairs the night of my event. I was told the day before that I would need to prepurchase tickets in order to reserve a table. So I went to prepurchase tickets and was told they didn’t have any tickets downstairs, but to see the owner upstairs. So I went upstairs to speak with the owner and was informed there were NO tickets to prepurchase and that it was pay at the door. I must admit the downstairs people were a lot nicer even though they didn’t have a clue as to what was going on. The owner was not as accommodating and acted like I was an idiot for doing what his staff had told me to do. I wish this place well as Corinth needs more adventures in dining. I doubt I will return.

This place may be brand new, but it has mucho potential and mas caliente bartenders than any other place in town. Yes, even Cherries. Hard to believe I know, true though. Its upstairs and I believe it was an old Southern-style home, transformed into a kick ass place to watch football. I may be a Buckeyes fan, they may be way better in every way than Olé Miss, so what. What matters is the atmosphere, for people who live here. Im just an out of towner, a Northerner, on the wrong side of the Mason Dixon if you will. Their own Magnolia Pecan Batch brew is not half bad. Definitely a session ale. The balcony looks out onto town, which looks like Mayberry. I walked here from the Annual Hog Wild Fest, which was an awesome experience. This may be a little town you’ve never, or will never hear of. If you dont, you’re missing out. If you do, you better come here, they’re definitely on the rise in town. Oh ya, the sweet tea, hands down best I’ve ever had. Dont leave without trying one.

I think they are coming into their own as any new business will. I still haven’t eaten here but have been twice for drinks. The staff is friendly, attentive, and this place has a nice eclectic cozy vibe. Live music and an open 2nd floor patio are great perks!
