Excellent sandwiches with fast and friendly customer service. The bread here seems much fresher then what is provided at other sub shops such as Subway or Jersey Mikes and the deli meat is cut in front of the customer. Definitely the best sub shop in town!

The food just ain’t that good but I’m say this everyone first try don’t go off my review just how I feel hard bread and little meat on sandwich.

I was close by and decided to stop in. The staff greeted me and the prices are reasonable but I will not be going back. I ordered the turkey bacon ranch on Italian bread. The ingredients in the sub are fresh and it was bade quickly. The reason I won’t be going back is that the bread was hard and stale. It would have been a great sandwich but we all know that bread makes the sandwich as much as what’s inside.

Talk about nickel and diming! They charged .50 for a cup of water, extra cheese 1.25 and black olives .50. I don’t see them staying open very long with these prices especially after they already changed their name after almost closing the first time.

Just moved to Texas from Florida and we were looking for a place that had good subs. In Florida Publix has the best subs around. Subway, Firehouse, etc., do not come close. Tried several of the places around town and they were just OK. Tried this place over the weekend, and thought the food was great. Staff were friendly, place was clean, and the Chicago décor was fun to look at while waiting on the food. We got the«works», a wheat wrap, and the broccoli and cheddar soap. All very tasty and price was not bad. Great food, friendly staff. Will be back.

I’ve never had a bad sub here, but my absolute favorite is the beef pastrami on wheat. I like to stop in for a quick lunch every now and then. The service is always quick and friendly even when it’s crowded.

Very simple sub shop — and the sandwiches definitely have more umph than subway. so Joey O’s deserves MUCH credit for that. not sure about the employees though. we eat here once a week or two — its my daughter’s favorite place. new faces working there every few visits and I heard snickering after I placed my order while my kids and I took a seat at the table recently, so I’m not sure what that was all about. the employee who rang me out hovered over the register screen and literally pointed out where I should place a tip — actually said, «and don’t forget about the top part here…» I left a $ 2 tip and he stared at the screen to see how much I left them. it was intimidating. and then I heard them snickering. so after this last experience, not a fan. i’ll go and pick up sandwiches for my kids, but I won’t be dining there again. I have also witnessed in the past, many orders being wrong(saw one last night, but the gentleman was very nice about it) and about 2 months back a very angry man challenged the employee who was working the cash register AND the line as to why he hadn’t washed his hands and that he should be wearing gloves. so its a small operation, I’m sure the owner is trying his best to make it work, but there is a lot to be done with the culture/atmosphere of the place.

Delicious subs. 1000x better than subway. I would say it’s similar to a New York sub hub. Delicious, good prices, fast and convenient.

My family and I just tried this place for the first time and we quite enjoyed it! Sure there were young men(or «kids» as others have called them) working there but they were very pleasant and attentive. The place was clean and had a nice«sub shop» vibe to it. The subs were very tasty and I’d prefer them to Subway any day. They had a nice variety of subs/sandwiches like Potbelly but not as expensive.

Food is great most of the time, but lately you should definitely check that they get it right. Service sucks… staff not only incompetent but rude. We went in and ordered 6 sandwiches for the family, and the cashier rudely commented«We need to order in advance by phone with orders this large because they might be busy.» He then passively suggested a tip when we paid with card. Normally we tip them well. Especially with orders like this. Not this time, bud. We will be taking our business to the New York Sub Hub on Avenue C in future times of hunger. Their staff is friendlier, and the food is always spot on fabulous. It’s worth the extra miles.

Great subs and the staff is friendly. I always order with extra meat and they pile it on.

The good sfuff first. Very clean, including the restroom. The cashier was very friendly and the food is reasonably priced. Now the bad, the«Italian beef» is a salty French dip trying desperately to pass as the real thing. Nope! Avoid that sandwich, if you are craving a real beef.

The food is good. The last 3 times I’ve gone in the kids working behind the counter act like I’ve interrupted their cell phone playing time. I go for the food though, not the service.

Standing O for Joey O’s! Accidentally stumbled onto this Corinth sandwich joint solely cuz I took a wrong turn and feeling hungry, I figured what the hell and stopped in. Light foot traffic in the store on this day as I scanned over the overhead chalkboard bill-o-fare which offered a reasonably good selection and I finally settled on the 12 inch Capone. Finished product was above-average and went down smooth. As the owner stated in a previous review, the vinegar is the money ingredient and gives the sandwich a much welcome kick in the ass. Only thing I didn’t like was the hoagie roll which seemed a bit big and poofy, Might have been able to savor the meat and veggies a little more with a smaller roll but maybe that’s just me. Cool employees and owner behind the counter and the joint was spotlessly clean. Somewhat annoying paying extra for certain veggies like pickles and bell peppers but not a deal-breaker. Might be better to just incorporate them into the price structure. A refreshing and tasty Corinth alternative to the boring and bland national chains and VERY worthy of a return visit!

Saw this place while sitting driving around town. They have great sandwiches, soups and wraps. They have all the fixins and all of the meats and vegies are fresh. This has become our go to sandwich shop during the weekend.

Among the sammich shops you really have to look for a place that stands out these days. There are so many run of the mill sandwich shops these days and there seems to be two on every corner. This shop really doesn’t offer anything special to make them stand out among the others. Friendly service and a clean restaurant goes a long way, this place has both. I should also mention that they are fast, not freaky fast, but fast. Looking for something that stood out i was disappointed when i saw it was like every other sub shop i’ve been to. Was the food good? Well yes, it was a cut above the norm, but when the norm gets a two star review it doesn’t leave much for this place. There are a few places standing out above the rest and this leaves little room for another regular sub shop. If you are in this particular area stop by. If you are wanting something special, you will have to make a small drive.

Been feeding at this joint for years. Sandwiches exceed all competition from here to Chicago. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. All ingredients come fresh, don’t even get me started on the bread! As you feast on your sandwich, don’t forget to devour the authentic décor that covers the walls from head to toe. Hats off to the owner for establishing himself as Joey O’s, I always thought that was cooler then New York Sub Hub. Ask around for Joey while your in the building, he is as classy as they come. 5⁄5 Would eat sandwiches here for the rest of my life if my schedule allowed it

There is nothing Chicago about this place. From the«Nathan’s» Hot Dogs(Chicagoans don’t eat Nathan’s) to Italian Beef(not Vienna Beef” on a herb roll(really?) It was rubbery and I don’t feel it. I asked«so what makes your subs Chicago Style?». I was told«well we have Italian beef». AND lets add the New York subway signs and all of the other New York paraphernalia and you get the feeling of the Bronx not the Loop. And… we drink Pepsi or RC. And by the way I too ate ½ my Italian Beef sandwich and threw it away. I asked for it to be dry and it was like it just went through Hurricane Ike.

Haven’t even eaten my sandwich and it may be great but I just went in there for the first time since it became Joey O’s and the kid who took my order was so unfriendly and short with me that I won’t be coming back. Edit: just threw my sandwich in the trash after the first bite. The lettuce was wet and made the bread soggy — water was literally dripping out the bottom when I picked it up. Disgusting.

I had the chicken tortilla soup with a cracked pepper turkey chef salad. The turkey was too thick for a salad not to mention that it was cut for a sub then the chicken tortilla soup was too thick and the worst part was the salt — all you can taste is salt. My biggest drawback on this place: NOGLOVES while preparing my food. Probably a my bad for still eating the food — and no I saw no washing of the hands either. I was hungry I wasn’t thinking. I don’t know why I was expecting anything better out of Corinth. On the flip side the staff was friendly.
