The lemon IS great! Tastes like the filling in lemon supreme cookies… milky, not icy. Music has changed… no more cheesy oldies tunes. They’ve added more outdoor seating. Great spot for great ice cream!

Really good ice cream. Never icy. Has a good selection of flavors. Sundaes. Milkshakes. And a train that cruises around the ceiling. Outside there is a broken mini-carousel and a small playground. This place has been around for awhile and a good alternative to the more expensive Ben and Jerry’s down the street. One issue I have is the prices have been steadily going up. However, the lines have not been going down. Still enjoyable.

Seriously speaking. This ice cream is the bomb dot com! And check this out, these dudes have a secret menu and its a no rules kinda thing! The kids there were cool and hooked us up! We will be going back. Mostly cause we live around the corner!

Love the family atmosphere of this place. It’s a great place to treat the family. Close to 40 flavors of ice cream to choose from. Double bonus that they’re dog friendly!!! Only negative is that this year they changed the music from the nostalgic crappy 80’s music to the standard crappy lite pop music of today. It’s not a trip to CC without hearing at least 1 Whitney Houston song.

Tasty ice cream, you’ve got the normal flavors then some not so normal such as the pineapple upside down and cheesecake cookie monster. The waffle cone was also nice and crunchy fresh.

Great Ice Cream with a local flair. Get it while you can. Carolina Cones is a seasonal treat and they will probably be closing in a month or so in October or November and not open till sometime next March. In the meantime, beat the heat and grab some great Ice Cream like we did after Church today. Over fifty flavors to choose from, you’ll have trouble choosing which one. I’t kind of a throughback to the Ice Cream Parlors we grew up with in the 50ths. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Check out the train while you are here.

Reasonable prices along with a nice selection of flavors make this our favorite place in Charlotte to get ice-cream. Carolina Cones has something for everyone as they have a nice playground and merry go round outside that my 2 year old loves. Be sure to bring quarters though, each ride costs 25 cents. They have plenty of seating outside as well with a gazebo, picnic tables, and benches. If you haven’t tried it… you should!

Cute local ice cream shop in Cornelius. The salty caramel truffle was delicious. My 4 year old loved the electronic train they had running inside.

Fun, kitschy atmosphere with great ice cream and tons of flavors! So fun to sit outside on a spring evening and enjoy a cone of the strawberry ice cream.

Great value and great ice cream! I highly recommend, BUT the music is awful. Who is the owner catering to with this 70s nonsense. Please allow your employees to listen to what this generation wants. I assure you they hate it too. The Barbara Streisand, Wings, and Chicago days /generation are long gone. Most of them are dead or not eating ice cream any longer. Time to move forward old timers.

Stopped by Carolina Cones on my way home from the Y(shhhhhh don’t tell!). Actually, I purchased ice cream for the little one but I did have a taste. She had a cotton candy and oreo cone in a cup. Needless to say, she was excited. I tasted the cotton candy and yes, it tasted like the gooey treat you often get at Carowinds or a street fair. It was pretty tasty. I will have to make a special trip to Carolina Cones when I am not visiting the gym. The place has plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. I suppose on a weekend evening, it may get pretty crowded.

Carolina Cones is on the way to Davidson coming down 115. This place has a historic vibe and reminds me of an ice cream shop from the 50s. The selections are tasty, including the classic ice cream boats you remember such as Banana Splits along with new spins on it such as my favorite the Reese’s boat. They have cones, shakes, cakes, and ice cream. My wife’s cone of choice is the Raspberry Truffle, it is very smooth almost like a sherbert. In the Spring and early summer they have a greenhouse outside that also sells flowers and plants. It works out as you can grab a cone and tour the greenhouse taking in the smell of fresh flowers. They also have a playground for kids and a small outside seating area with a fountain.
