I don’t usually write reviews but I had a very bad experience at Dr. Friedman’s. It was time for me to have cataract surgery, I went to a surgeon that Dr. Friedman recommended. I found out later that Dr. Friedman would make money on that deal. I had lens implanted in order to improve my distance vision. It was never mentioned to me that maybe I should do one eye for distance and one for close up so it was necessary for me to get glasses. Even though Dr. Friedman was my eye doctor, my insurance did not allow me to purchase my glasses there. I ordered glasses through Advanced Eye Care in Denver, NC. When my lens arrived, I could not read out of them. I went back to Dr. Friedman to have another refraction, got another prescription and went back to Advanced Eye Care. They ordered another set of lens. These did not work. I went back to Dr. Friedman and after checking my eyes he said that some people are never satisfied and walked out of the room. Unlike Dr. Friedman, his tech Laura Lee and his Optician were very helpful and concerned about my situation. I left there in tears. I called Advanced Eye Care and they were very concerned. I was immediately set up with a doctor there who did a very extensive eye exam (a lot more extensive than Dr. Friedman ever did) and there was no charge. The doctor at Advanced Eye Care found some differences in my prescription and gave me some options and we ordered another set of lens. Advanced Eye Care have said they will work with me as long as necessary so I can see out of my glasses and there will be no additional charge. Needless to say, I will NEVER go back to Dr. Friedman!

I absolutely recommend this practice; both my husband and I have gone here for exams and new glasses.
The staff are friendly and helpful and Dr Friedman does a thorough eye exam while ensuring you are comfortable and informed of all options. The optician on staff is also really great at helping you to find just the right eye glasses. He is patient, but will also give you honest feedback on what looks good on you.

Dr. Friedman is simply the BEST eye doctor we’ve ever seen (yes, pun intended). Seriously, he is not only technically competent but also takes the necessary time to ensure that he gets it right. And he does!
