Simply put this is the nicest food store in Lake Norman. Everything from the food to its employees is above and beyond. This publix has several kiosks to get food — sushi, breakfast, coffee, subs, soups, salads, etc. The employees are genuinely kind and helpful and recognize me everytime we shop. Who can forget kids get a free publix cookie! mmm. they are delish!

What a great experience! Definitely light years ahead of food loin and Harris Teeter. I would at their direct competitor is Whole Foods. Honestly the shopping experience it self was not burn stellar, but what made this a great experience was the level of customer service from the two ladies who rang us out and bagged us. They asked about our day, and we let them know it’s our first time there. So they gladly told us about Publix and the coupons! Such a cool idea to do all of your«couponing» online before shopping. Also I was blown away that two ladies in their probably 60s offered to take my bags out to my car for me. No way would I ever let them do that, but still a really nice gesture. Especially for people who shop with kids and have to juggle the grocery kart and kids in the parking lot. I reached out to the verified Publix Twitter account after my visit in hopes they would share my feedback with the store. They said they would recognize the two ladies working!

Having grown up with Publix I thought I knew what to expect when they came to the area. They were always the big dog, so to speak, and no other grocery store compared in quality, cleanliness or service. The Cornelius Publix is nothing special. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice(new) store but there are too many other grocery stores in the area that have just as much or more to offer, specifically the one across the street. I find the layout very choppy, especially when you enter the store. I missed the deli entirely my first visit because I didn’t realize it was off to the left. For the most part the prices are much higher than other stores with the exception of what’s in the weekly ad. I have yet to buy any meat there because even the sale prices are ridiculous. If it weren’t for their customer service, I doubt I would make the special trip to this store. They do have a few items I haven’t seen at any other store, but the overall pleasantness of everyone is what makes me come back. I can’t think of another grocery chain around here where I’ve seen management bagging groceries or working in the aisles like they do here. And they don’t seem to mind it! LOL

Absolutely love Publix. Their fresh baked breads come in a wide variety of flavors. The bakery is awesome. We have sampled many of the items in the bakery and even though we haven’t tried everything, everything we have taken home has been awesome. There seafood section & selection is awesome as well. I’m a seafood lover and they are now offering a planned meal. You select your favorite fish, shrimp or scallop. Pick your sauce. They put it in a bag. You take it home and throw it in the over. 15 to 20 minutes later, you have your dinner. You can also pick up recipe cards every week. They cook different items on a daily basis and you can sample them as well. All-in-all we are impressed with Publix and their employees. They are very friendly and informative. Give them a shot for yourself and you will fall in love with this store.

So I guess Publix is known for their great sandwiches and friendly staff, I’ve had delicious food and great service from other Publix stores. Just not this one. Last night me and the girlfriend stopped in for a sandwich to take home for dinner, the older woman behind the counter(Joyce was her name for future warning) was the rudest! she was rushing me, interrupting me. Causing a fuss when she had to cut the meat for my sandwich. I’m not one to usually complain about that kind of behavior but it was that bad. I was completely irritated. She didn’t even make the sandwich right and I politely reminded her that it came with bacon and that seemed to have just ruined her day. I know it’s just a sandwich at a grocery store but hey first impressions mean a lot and now I’ll probably avoid Joyce and her attitude from now on.

I was so excited that they were opening and they didn’t disappoint! I love the wine section and Aprons. The bogo deals and the great produce… I could go on and on

This Publix is a Super Size version. Yes, the aisle are exactly the same model and layout of the other Publix store in Huntersville and Steele Creek. Nevertheless, There is a Sushi station, Salad area and several others. Will be back to visit these. I ran into this area heading to the bakery to getting my usual loaf of bread. There is an area right near the pharmacy where they have all the power bars all displayed which is something new and different. Reminds me of one of those health sections in Earth Fare. Staff are friendly and a resource to find items. Tried to find toilet paper and one would imagine they be in the paper aisle with the paper towels and napkins. Not the case. Toilet paper is located in another aisle with the facial tissue. Is it called toilet paper or toilet tissue? LOL… Tips to save money. Circular comes out every Wednesday. I go for the buy one get one and sale item to save money. Lots of bargains to be had here and fresh food too. Will be back again to visit the deli, saw review from another Unilocaler about the buffalo chicken pizza.

Ok, I was so excited for this superstore to come to Cornelius. Now, not so thrilled. So far the veggies have been less than super fresh and the store seems confusing since the veggies are split from the rest of the store. Yes the sushi and bakery are also over there but if you forget something, good luck trying to get back. I purchased a piece of meat which when turned over was like allowed out on the underside. But I will give them this, they replaced it. Love the fact they have sushi but they don’t have a many tasting as they Huntervillle store has. So far not super thrilled to say the least. The meats at least so far are better at Teeters. I asked if they could get Goodbelly at customer service and they looked at me like I had three heads. If Teeter can carry product and so can whole foods I cant see why Publix can’t. I am still looking for that one store I can get everything in… and so far I don’t see the savings they advertise yet. But I do like the no customer number policy.

Deli is awesome! The pastries are candy for the eyes, but I didn’t taste any. I opted for the buffalo chicken pizza which is pretty good! This place is less pretentious and less pricey than Whole Foods. The eating area was very comfortable and not too loud like some cafes. Friendly and helpful service. :) overall a great experience!
