The place is a tiny little place in a small strip mall. Beer selection was small, but I was there for the BBQ and that was great. Loved the brisket, pulled pork, and baked beans. The Mac salad and fries were good, but nothing special. Overall, a good place to gonif you don’t care about ambiance.

The Bacon Jalapeño Poppers were good, but the actual BBQ never left me wanting to come back; the brisket was VERY greasy. All drinks are sold individually(cans/bottles), so order Tea or water if you’re looking for free refills. There’s not a ton of seating, so it can get pretty cramped during lunchtime. The cheeseburgers are great here.

The pull pork and brisket tasted ok, the BBQ sauce was tangy and a little bit spicy BUT the buns were regular supermarket potato soft bread buns. The pork was not pre mixed with the BBQ sauce prior to being place on the bun. It was obvious by the soggy bread that they place the park on the bun and then slop lots of BBQ sauce on. Also the portions were tiny so we all left hungry.

Excellent genuine Texas BBQ. The brisket is some of the best there is. My only wish is a better atmosphere for which to dine in. Overall though it’s all about good quality food and if they continually do great business the rest may follow.

Not bad BBQ. Ordered the food with no sauce and added sauce at the table. They serve good home style food. I would like some crispness on my cornbread and fries. Brisket had ok flavor, could have cooked a little longer. Thought the ribs were better. Would come back but not make it a «must stop» destination on our way to buffalo.

Casual little BBQ joint in Corning, where the food is definitely made with love. Everything tasted so good, the brisket was fantastic, the chicken and pork too. IT was lunch for three and we get to taste all different kind of dishes during the PHISH festival and we loved this place. The girls in the counter were awesome, and the motorcycle made the place so unique and special. ALL very tasty!!!

Great pulled pork and brisket. Sweet bbq and spicy bbq on tables so you can add your own. Homemade fries are delicious. Highly recommend stopping in for a great meal.

Slammin is right! We came from San Diego to get married in Watkins Glen and Ben and his crew catered our wedding. They did an amazing job and the bbq was absolutely the best! Seriously all our guests kept talking about and asked us who catered it. You can tell from the moment you meet Ben and his staff that they put so much time and pride into there food. The chicken was moist and juicy the ribs were absolutely mouth watering. I would recommend this bbq to anyone and have to all my family back in NY. Thank you so much Ben for making our wedding amazing!

Quaint little bbq joint decked out in an authentic country theme. Relaxed atmosphere with country music playing and sports games on the tv. wait staff is fast and friendly. Onion rings were delicious with various bbq and hot sauces for condiment lovers(sweet was my dip of choice). Also ordered the chicken sandwich with a side of corn on the cob. Both amazing. Chicken was pulled, again with choice of bbq sauce, and the buns were toasted(great touch)

Absorutely a great place for BBQ!!! We ordered the sampler that comes with all 5 choices of meat and it was a great recommendation by the waitress. The meat is flavorful, tender and ribs fall off the bone! A good place to go after museum!

This place is totally fine. There’s nothing special about it, but it’s decent. It’s totally weird that you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom.

Any barbecue joint that parks a custom motorcycle in the front is okay by my book. Ambiance is rustic with the custom built benches and tables complete with little«SJ’s» seared onto the table tops. Order at the counter and mosey to your table. It will be worth the wait. We had sliced brisket sandwiches topped with the house sauce. Tasty! Moist and meaty. What more can you ask for? The pulled pork sandwich had great smokey flavor; wasn’t just borrowing its flavor from the sauce. The buns were light and nicely toasted. The ribs weren’t quite falling off the bone but also had a nice aroma. For sides, there were no collard greens but they sure can make a tasty baked bean side! The cole slaw is not dripping in sauce like you may find in other places which suits me just fine. Mac and cheese and the potato salad were equally good. Worthy of a stop!

SJ’s is a small, efficient, and delicious BBQ joint enticing anyone nearby with free smells. The service is friendly and prompt, the tables clean, and the place is always busy– but I’ve never seen a line. I like how the kitchen is in full view of patrons. So far, I’ve stopped three times and have not been disappointed. The meat is succulent and seasoned just slightly to allow the wonderful smoked flavor to be appreciated, without masking it with tons of sauce. The spicy BBQ sauce on every table allows the diner creative license to use as little or as much sauce as needed. I’ve tried ribs, pulled pork, and brisket– all of which were delightful. The sides are also tasty– the fries are nicely browned, the baked beans are caramelized and thick, and the coleslaw is tangy to round out the meal. You can’t go wrong at this little gem– a delectable alternative to fast food!

The brisket melts in your mouth like peanut butter and tastes amazing. Great sauce that is not too sweet. There is a good selection of local beers in the bottle.

Small strip mall place with in walking distance of the Corning museum. It is Father’s Day and as a special surprise my meal was 50% off. The brisket was awesome!!! The pulled pork was a little dry but good too. The sides were very good. Mac salad awesome. The cole slaw was good. I prefer it not be ground up like it was. The sauces(sweet and spicy) were good and on the table. Speaking of the table .it is I dire need of a screw driver. It was very wobbly. Meals 12 – 18 dollars. Sandwiches 6 – 10. They have a kids menu which is very welcome at a BBQ place. The staff was incredible and very nice. Go enjoy the smoke in the brisket is worth it alone. Thank you for making our trip to Corning better.

For the strangest reason, I had an inkling for some Southern BBQ. This place really hit the spot. Here’s our dinner spread of brisket, sausage, chicken, pulled pork and our sides of hush puppies, fries, mac salad with corn muffins. Needless to say, it was more than enough and I had to be rolled back to my hotel room. My eyes are always wider than my stomach.

traveling towards Niagara Falls and consulted Unilocal for a place to eat. Slammin Jammin is a small eatery located in a small strip mall. I ordered the rib dinner. Certainly one of the top three rib platters I have ever had. This place earns a very rare 5 full stars from me. The ribs were meaty and oh so tender. The baked beans are also something that cannot be missed. The Texas bbq sauce is just a touch sweet… just the right amount. I have three minor complaints. First there are no public restrooms on site. Second they place country music radio, and three it is located two hundred miles from my house. I really want to eat here a lot… maybe we will come home this way just do I can experience more Slammin Jammin… wow.
