Ok, I admit, I’m a coffee snob. I was a barista for 15 some odd years, and I visit coffee shops every day of my life. I visited this store every day for roughly 6 months,(since I moved to the area) and have had to request remakes or refunds far too many times for it to go unnoticed. Most of the time the person writing my cup will not get the abbreviations correct and this confuses the barista on bar. When I receive my drink there is often something missing, and a few times I was served a drink so far from what I ordered, that I wondered if I had ordered it Latin. The second most common blunder is once every couple of weeks the decaf espresso shots taste watery, as if the machine needs to be calibrated, or perhaps the decaf bean hopper needs to be refilled. Then, less often, I will sometimes receive a drink so bitter(this is caused by shots sitting out much longer than 10 seconds) that I just can’t even. I really dislike returning my drink, it makes me feel like a bully or a picky old shrew, and I like to be nice… but I pay $ 5.75 for my drink and I think it should taste acceptable at best. The only good thing about this store is that whenever the very friendly, tall, bearded man is working I never seem to have these problems. The few times I did, it wasn’t his fault and he checked the espresso machine, fixed the problem, and remade my drink to perfection. Rain always serves a delicious beverage, the way Starbucks used to, back when they hired baristas based on their passion for coffee and the coffee house culture, rather than people just looking for a paycheck. :/ There is also a lady who says she has worked there for 6 years who makes amazing drinks. Also, the young blonde boy, although he is a newer partner, he pays attention to detail and always serves a delicious beverage. And then there is the pretty girl from Watsonville. I always leave with a cup of goodness when she is working. and she is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Any ways… I wanted to love this store, but I miss the deliciousness of the Starbucks of the past… I don’t believe I will come here anymore… oh well, so long… :( Hello House of Brews!

I have one question, Starbucks. It is a simple question that should not require multitudes of brain cells yet somehow I fear for the answer. My question is this: How can you screw up a green tea so badly?!? Tea leaves + hot water! There IS nothing to mess up! But wow, no, I thought ‘Gosh I’m running late and there’s no time to make tea at home. No worries, I’ll get one on the way.‘ I took the tea bag out almost right away so it didn’t steep too long. That didn’t seem to matter. Never had such a bitter green tea. It left a horrible aftertaste. I took two sips and before I threw it out, I let my friend try some. He wrinkled his nose and said that aftertaste was disgusting. He was saying that taste isn’t from steeping too long. It’s probably due to cheap tea leaves. Haha Starbucks, nice try.

I’m a Starbucks lover and I’ve been to a lot of different locations but this one is not the best. First, they always forget to put an ingredient in my drink when I repeat multiple times what I want. For example, when I order a green tea lemonade sweetened they forget to either put the lemonade or the sweetener. Second, the drinks aren’t well made. I once ordered a s’mores frap. and there was like less than a teaspoon of the marshmallow in it. I also order light ice and they put more than they originally do. Third, they’re always running out of things. They never have chocolate croissants. Sometimes when I go get the seasonal drinks they have, they are out of what ever it takes to make them. Hopefully they can improve.

Nice quiet location, next to our hotel. Quick service. Order was correct. Sadly the prepackaged wrap was disgusting.(Not the Barista ’ fault) I would not recommend the wraps. Soggy and just gross.

I want a cup of joe half decaf half regular and the girl at the counter actually ARGUES with me that the pour over decaf tastes the SAME as brewed. Guess what? The customer is always right except at this Starbucks! Don’t go here if you want something the way you like it.

Drive-thru! Got in line with 5 other vehicles ahead of us. Thinking oh-no this will take forever. Was in and out within minutes. Very friendly staff and right off I-5 for a quick stop!

Where is Corning? What is there? Starbucks! You left Redding you aren’t in Roseville yet and you are tired of your long car ride-already-so this is a great place to stop. Find it? Arrived in Corning? If you need a restroom break, a drink and interaction with pleasant small town folks this Starbuck’s has it. Corning Starbuck’s has clean restrooms and friendly service here in the middle of undeveloped land masses. If you are at moc2 just use the drive thru and be perked up a bit to boot.

BEST customer service of any Starbucks I have ever been in. I don’t go often cause it is pricey but the morning crew in this outlet just seems to really enjoy working there. This outlet is very small but does offer a drive through. Located just off Hwy 5 at the Solano Street/Downtown Corning exit in Corning. This the only Starbucks between Willows to the south and Red Bluff’s Adobe Road location to the north.

I frequent Starbucks all over the state because I travel regularly and I’m usually pretty critical, BUT this is the best one I’ve EVER been to based on customer service and the chai tea alone. The customer service is usually what brings the place down. They typically have arrogant people working here but the guy that helped us out was genuinly sweet and catering. We messed up ordering several times and then added drinks at the window and then we needed waters for our kids and then cups of ice to keep the bottles chilled… it was a laundry list of reasons to hate us. lol The guy was amazing and deserved every penny in the tip jar in his own right, on top of the great service, our drinks(which we ended up getting two) were very good and made perfectly. I couldn’t express enough great things about this particular place from my experience, except that I did not go inside. Customer service. 5 stars Drinks. 5 stars Price. 3 stars
