Super 8 Corning

Will NEVER stay here again. They use top sheets as bottom sheets that do not even come close to fitting. This coupled with the coffee pot not working, water pipe sound from every room and the cockroach in the bathroom makes it easy to not return. Put a little more money with it and stay at the casino. The food at the casino is the same as other local restaurants too.

I stayed at the Super 8 in Corning this past Sunday night. I selected the motel based on reviews and past experiences with the chain.
It had everyone one would want in a room:
— The room was quiet. I had a room on the second floor, which helped reduce any potential noise.
— The room was clean and did not smell. I have bad allergies and despise hotels that use a lot of carpet spray. The room smelled clean without any toxic chemical smells.
— The bed was really comfortable!
— The shower worked well and the water was hot
— The A/​C worked great, despite being a little old and loud and slow to cool the room.
— There was ample parking
— It’s across the street from the Olive Pit where you can get a bite to eat and about a block or two away from other dinning options.
Wi-​Fi, a good working fridge and cable, along with free breakfast (which I did not take advantage of), were added perks.
The place exceeded my expectations and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again and would highly recommend it. For ~$ 60 you won’t find a better place to spend the night.

Excellent customer service. Quick easy check-​in/​out. Very clean, comfortable and nearby food/​booze/​coffee. Loved it.

I rarely give a negative review but this one is well needed… We got in at 10:30pm and our 1^st room was about 90deg inside and they don’t leave any climate on at all. Turned on the AC and it was loud like a broken blade inside smacking around. So we got a new room. It too was 90deg or so. Turned on air it’s now midnight and maybe cooled to 85deg. I can’t sleep if it’s hot. I’m super pissed to say the least. I have another 900mi to drive tomorrow and not going to sleep well if at all. Me and my wife are platinum time share owners with Wyndham and we get deals on hotels where no resorts are. As an owner I am super disappointed …

Stayed one night for $ 65 on the way home from a fishing trip up in Mt. Shasta. Clean room with a cable T.V. (Comcast) and a fridge/​microwave. The A/​C was a little slow, and the bathroom was tiny, but overall I thought this place was pretty good!
Downsides
~I saw an ant like bug in the bathroom (NOT a bedbug or roach)
~some one had previously smoked in the «non-​smoking room»
~They had taken the battery out of the smoke alarm (not safe)

Having stayed at a few budget hotels/​motels on a lengthy trip from Canada to Southern California. This was easily the best motel I stayed at. 1) it was cost effective. I was not required to put down a deposit on my credit card they let me pay cash. Which I had no issues getting back. 2) the beds were comfy. 3) the room was sizable and clean. 4) they are ok with dogs. 5) the room was gloriously pitch black, and kept the outside sounds out! Even in the morning when the sun was out we were able to sleep in undisturbed till 9am, in the dark and didn’t hear a thing. It was a great sleep after a long day!

Stayed here on my way back home from Oregon. Long day of motorcycle riding and just wanted a room for the night. Great folks, put me in a place where I could see my bike. Clean room, comfy bed, I could not ask for more.

We stayed for 2 nights. It was clean, the beds were comfy. My kids liked the pool. I liked the wifi and the shower pressure haha! My only complaint was an outlet didn’t work near the sink and the air conditioner smelled a teensy bit funky. Even still, 4 stars! I would still recommend!

You can’t expect much from a Super 8 but Super 8 Corning was above the average Super 8’s. The room was clean and spacious, had a fridge and microwave, the WiFi worked well, the staff were nice, and the place didn’t smell like smoke or the bad smell of cheap air fresheners. Overall it was satisfying.

It’s good priced good rooms but they have had water heater problems twice now.

The price was right and so was the location. The bed was huge and comfortable enough. It was clean but the room was super hot when we got in.
The air finally cooled around an hour later.
It had a fridge and a TV– both pluses. Microwave too.
The front desk people were nice and the room was totally satisfactory. Skip the sad little breakfast tho– Starbucks is one exit away.

I was passing through on my way to Oregon. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a microwave and refrigerator. The rates are reasonable. And the staff is friendly. It’s older but very well-​kept. Oh, and the wi-​fi is pretty fast. Honestly, I never thought about staying at a Super 8, but… I mean… if you don’t care about frills, just well-​executed basics, this is a great place to stay.

Good price, very friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, fast Internet access (wifi and wired in rooms).
