This is our first experience eating at Bayhavens. I ordered the fisherman’s platter and my wife the chicken fingers. Normally when someone says there is so much food you can’t eat it all in one sitting, I have a hearty enough appetite that I can. Well, not in this case! Such a large and delicious portion of food, I could not eat even half my meal at one sitting. Hats off to the gang at Bayhavens! Excellent food, great service, and friendly staff. Would and will recommend them to anyone looking for a great meal.

I have been coming here for years and I’m never disappointed. Large mouthwatering portions. The lobster salad bun is my go to. A nice bar too.

Me and the Mrs. Took a ride on Sunday over to Cornish from Wolfeboro it was well worth the ride arrived a little after 1 pm Sunday it was a full house we waited a few minutes than decided to eat at the bar great idea. When waiting we saw what appeared to be the fisherman platter was huge when we got to the bar was greeted by the bar tender very friendly was offered drinks right away and bread nice and warm and soft butter can not stand got to places that offer bread and hard butter just pet pev. I ordered the fisherman plater and the Mrs ordered the fried fish platter big mistake way too much food should have shared the fisherman platter but it was well worth it the seafood was hot and fresh did not skimp on the clams or the scallops which a lot of places do the batter was light and fresh tasting the French fries were cooked to perfection the bartender jolean sorry if I misspelled her name was so friendly and pleasant to have as a waitress we will defiantly be back thank you for a awesome Sunday dinner Eric j petit

Good seafood and burgers. Great fast service. Fried clams are the best around and the French fries are crispy. The mushroom burger was juicy and perfectly cooked. This is a place to come back to.

The food is good and well priced. The servings are large. The bread they serve with dinner is great! I would not recommend the clam chowder. I like my clam chowder thick and they have more of a soupy chowder. It’s all in how you like it. All and all it is a good restaurant if you want a seafood dinner.

The food is good but they have a problem with flies(especially in the bar area) that they can’t seem to get rid of.

On Saturday I ordered 15 lobsters and 10 lbs of clams for pickup at 1pm the following day. I got there just before 1pm as agreed and was told that I had to go to the lunch/takeout order line to pickup my order. There were 7 people in the line already so I stood in line for 35 minutes with all the tourists in town who had just had the notion to get lunch. Once I got my turn to get to the window I told by the VERY pleasant and hard working young lady there(seriously…she was doing her best in a bad situation) that I was here to pick up the order that I’d called in the day before and she told me that it would be another short wait while they THEN pulled my order out of the tank. I got our lobsters and clams of course, and they were as excellent as one would expect from Bay Haven’s reputation, but this only after 45 minutes of standing in line past the time it was all supposed to be ready to be picked up. Now, I totally understand that this is Maine and that lobster and delicious seafood is in high demand right now,(especially when your restaurant is the only game in town) but if you are going to offer ‘take out’ orders of live seafood as a major part of your business model, doesn’t it make sense to have a Pick Up window for this independent of the ‘Lunch Order’ window so that folks who have tried to help YOU out by ordering WELL ahead of time(and are spending $ 150 – 200 for something you don’t even have to cook) and aren’t being kept waiting for 45 minutes in line with folks who were just driving by, smelled the deep fried awesomeness wafting about and thought they’d order a $ 10 plate of fish and chips?

So my hubby & I and about 12 other motorcycles pulled in today 8÷9÷15 around 130−2pm. We called ahead(days before) to let them know of the large amount of people that would be showing up, we were assured that they would be able to accommodate us all. So when we got here they said they couldn’t accommodate all of us at once that we would have to break into Grus of four people and that it also was a forty minuet wait! They weren’t extremely busy I would say. So we ALL decided to go to their takeout area with hopes of finding a seat at one of their sparse picnic tables. The fried scallops were decent but the fact that you can’t get clam strips on a combo meal is ridiculous. They’ll only give you whole bellys. The fries are terrible so forgo those. In my opinion management sucks not being able to accommodate us since we were told we would be. Our group has made it known we will never come back. Don’t go here!!!

Last year on my spring break I visited my Grandfather in Maine. He took me and my mother here for seafood, and I must say that I was impressed. When you walk in there a tanks with fresh seafood, still alive. That’s right you can sea the seafood before you order it. My Grandfather had been coming here for years and all of the waitresses know him by name and what he will order. Lobster and fish n chips is best made in Maine. My mother ordered the lobster roll and I ordered the fish n chips. Fish n chips is best when the fish is haddock and this place made it right. The fries were also crispy, which I like because soggy fries, ew! I do not like tartar sauce so I cannot speak for it. I was however overjoyed with the white vinegar the waitress brought me. If you are from the South and visiting Maine I have a word of caution for you. DONOTORDERSWEETTEA. You will most likely be informed that they have unsweet tea and that you can add sugar to it. News flash the sugar will not dissolve and you will be left with a glass of unsweet tea with a layer of sugar on the bottom. This happened to me here and I then ordered a glass of water. As far as the service goes, we were treated well and never had any issues getting more water or anything we needed. They did not even charge me for the tea:)

Went there very recently and left disappointed. I’m the only seafood lover in the family so my wife and son always order steak tips. We arrived just before 8pm to avoid the hordes of senior citizens who absolutely mob the place from 5 to 7. After putting in food and drink order we were advised that there wasn’t a single steak tip left in the place. Not happy. Also the waitress was pretty tardy refilling beverages, almost at the point where we were done eating. Bay Haven, load up on the tips and freeze them if you have to.

Good food, decent staff. It was tourist filled when we were there, which provided slow service. The fried fat belly clams were good, but not as good as Ken’s Place or Susan’s Fish & Chips.

There aren’t a whole lot of places to eat in and around Cornish, ME. The crown jewel of this area is definitely Bay Haven. Portions are absolutely unreal and the food is delicious. The prices are great for seafood– pretty much everything on the menu is between $ 10-$ 18. I’ve heard the clam strips are the best around, and I’m in love with the fried shrimp. Every meal starts with a batch of fresh made bread which is to die for. There’s a full bar and what looks like a pretty substantial drink menu– I haven’t personally tried anything but it looks appealing. The atmosphere is ok; the dining room is small and hot. However, the deck is delightful. It’s fully shaded and there’s a fan for the hot days and there are heaters for when it gets cool at night. Very cute little place in Cornish that’s always packed full of people– and I can definitely see why.

I highly recommend the lobster stew. Although it is not a thick based stew, it is loaded with lobster and delicious! Just what we needed on this rainy summer day. We also had the lobster roll. It was delicious and so stuffed with lobster, we hadrosaur it in half to eat it! It came with a generous portion of potato chips and we were not disappointed. We will be back!

I would give this resturuants food a 5 star rating all day long. However I would give the resturuant’s service a 1 star rating. There food is the best seafood I have ever tasted. Extremely fresh, always. The portions are huge so there is always food to bring home. I have never had a bad meal at this place and I have been coming here for a long time. Now the service. When you walk in they will always give you the dinner menus on the weekend, make sure you ask for the lunch menus. When you order a appitizer it takes 30 min for that to come out and it takes your main meal about 40 min to come out. Even on a reg day where it’s not too busy that’s just how long it takes them. So as I said, if you want the best seafood of your life, go to this resturaunt… but you’ll have to be patient!

This place takes seafood to a whole new level when taking freshness, the large portion sizes and resonable prices into consideration.(Service is also fast, friendly and overall pretty amazing.) I had baked scallops topped with the lobster stuffing($ 12 if I remember correctly) and it was really really good! It was the lobster stew that really took the prize — I swear it was loaded with mostly claw meat that was only cut in half once — the chunks were endless and huge! My mom had the lobster roll which I tried and was tasty as well as the seafood stew — which was loaded with massive chunks of various types of fish. Free refills on the non-sweetened I’ve read we ordered as well was avery nice touch. I will be back!

Great deal for your buck, HUGE portions, good for big groups, super busy on weekends though, so plan well, great food, you will always leave satisfied, It’s funny how the best seafood in southern Maine is so far away from the coast and Portland

This review isn’t for the food which was spot on best lobster I’ve ever had. However our server forgot about us twice and I had to keep searching for her. I hope it was hair an off night but the worst excuse of «oh I totally forgot about you guys» is pretty bad in my opinion. Again lobster was amazing atmosphere was loud and definitely a local hang out. Loved the experience and despite the service I would go again.
