This isn’t my first time eating at Prima Pizza in Cornwall, NY. It makes some of the most delicious food. Its pizza is the closest to Brooklyn pizza as you’re going to get in Upstate NY. The Philly cheese steak was awesome with tasty onions, cheese, and just enough grease to fool me into thinking I was in Philly while I was eating it. Customer service is ALWAYS great, food delicious, ambiance is great, and prices are fairly low to midrange. Worth your time, you will not be disappointed.

They cannot plan for known events. Came in during Grad Week. Waited an hour with no service. Another customer brought us a pitcher of water. Asked for service and told they only had 1 waitress. Really, known event each year. Food doesn’t make up for food

The place needs a good cleaning and some new furniture. Pizza is not to bad but just about everything else is frozen and deep fried.

I always give credit where credit is due. Their meatball subs are good. Their pizza, however, it’s not as good as others in the area. Leo’s is nearby and far better! The garlic knots were burned, the pizza was scorched and black(pizza chef friend says the oven was dirty! SHOCKER!!!) on the bottom, and the crust was burned as well. My daughter asked if I checked it before leaving, and honestly I didn’t. I never would’ve paid $ 26.00 for an order of knots, a sub, and a large cheese pie! I called and told the night manager Mary, and she offered a full refund. She said, «i’m Mary, I’m leaving a note on the register telling them to give you your money back. She was nice, she handled my problem politely and correctly. My issue is really more with the day management. The first few time we went, we dined in. It was two years ago, and honestly I was shocked at the place. It’s old, appears dirty, dark, and dingy. The bathroom? Go to the bathroom before you visit here. You’ll thank me later! The ladies bathroom has a musty, moldy smell, and there were small brown bugs crawling all over the base of the toilet. I think you could clean that tiny bathroom for an hour, and you’d never know it. Needless to say, we dined in only that one time, the other few times it was takeout. Now, the day manager… lol… Longish blond haired man(NOHAIRNET!!!) in his forties was quite nasty to me when I told him what happened the night before. Did you bring back the product, he asked? No… Mary didn’t request it, or I certainly would’ve! Do you have a picture? Nope! But my daughter does, I’ll have her send it to me! Showed this moron the pic, and he had the balls to act like he’s doing ME a favor by refunding my $ for the pizza! He’s a smug, cocky jerk, and I will never in my life set foot in this filthy ass dump again.

What a treat to have a pizza place like this in your area. Cute little downtown area to visit. Pizza were amazing. Great wing flavors. Can’t wait to come back.

This was the first place I had dinner at after moving to Cornwall, and it was amazing. Ordered the garlic knots(very cheap price and VERYDELICIOUS), the small tossed salad(small is a lie, this plate was huge full of vegetables and meats, more than enough for two people), and a pie. If you want to get a pie to yourself, you will have 2 – 3 days of leftovers, they are huge. Since the first time, I only get a slice now cause they are the size of a small Papa John’s pizza. My favorite is a plain cheese, just perfect example of a New York pizza. The staff is always great, the environment is always lively. Really a place you can ENJOY your meal. Only negative part, it’s within walking distance and I want to eat here all the time. Also, you can overnight a whole pizza to anywhere in the US. Unreal.

Found this place on Unilocal after hiking nearby. We were all hungry so we weren’t expecting anything amazing, just wanted to fill our stomach. This place was surprisingly good. They’re very generous with the servings. We each ordered a homemade soup, but we could’ve shared it. The chicken noodle soup had a lot of chicken and noodles unlike most places which is mostly liquid. The pizzas were also really good. We ordered the grandpa pizza and the veggie pizza. The veggie pizza was jam packed with veggies!

I had heard great things so I went in today to order and pick up a pizza. But the pizza was burnt and halfway through eating the first slice, I found a black hair in my pizza crust. I am really really disgusted and disappointed!

Classic NY/NJ pizza in the perfect setting. Absolutely everything about this place is on point. Family run, great service, quaint décor /ambiance, irresponsible topping allocation, and absolutely delicious pizza and pasta. BYOB!

Came here after hiking at Storm King! It was a perfect meal post-hike. Their pizzas were amazing. My friends wanted to get the veggie pizza and my response was«veggie?! really?» and when it came out, my jaw dropped to the floor looking at the amount of veggies on top. It was no longer a pizza. The«Grandpa» was roasted garlic, sausage and mushrooms and I loved both. They are truly magical. French onion soup was also a giant portion, fit for giants like me. Best thing is, they’re homemade. MMM. Great friendly service. They take credit cards. Plenty of street parking.

Little Gem in Cornwall… We stumbled upon this place due to the heavy traffic near Newburgh. Ever since our last trip to Montana and Utah, our parents raved about how good the pizzas were from small towns. I Unilocaled this place and loved the pics from other Unilocalers, so I decided to give this place a try. Omg… I was glad that I did… my parents love love love the place. We ordered a large pie: half sausages w/mushrooms and half eggplant w/banana peppers&roasted garlics… SOGOOD… Cannoli was freshly made… not overly sweet and not overly packed with chocolate chips… it was just perfect… we will definitely come back again

Wow. I was craving some Italian so I went on the prowl and stumbled across this place. Small authentic restaurant that smelled soooooo good. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs are real, not a fake taste but a real beef and onion herb taste. I cannot emphasize how good the meatballs are. Everything in fact is real, the dough is made fresh. I found out a lot from one of the servers about the history and how they ship their pies to different states. Amazing, awesome, delicious. I am so full.

We like this place but will warn is small on the inside and if a lot is going on at West Point expect a wait time. The décor feels very inviting and the pizza is spot on. They do have a menu that explains the pizza but you have to ask for it.

Prima Pizza is kinda magical. A thousand streams of lights cover the enclosed outdoor garden(which is dog-friendly), and inside is a whole world away. It’s the kind of place we all wish we grew up with, it’s so incredibly comforting and calm. The pizza is definitely a winner – the portions are gigantic and the prices are minuscule – although not the best in the world, it’s good. All the food is good, though better eaten-in than taken-out, but apparently many people order this stuff for delivery across America, and it’s pretty easy to understand why when it offers up a taste of this happy place.

I’m somewhat of a pizza expert. I travel all over the country for work and rarely don’t eat at at least one pizza place. Driving back to NYC from the Roosevelt house we stopped here. Huge slices of New York style pizza without the normal grease covering it. All very fresh cut ingredients. Probably one of my top 10 if not top 5 places in the country. Lots of charm too the place has been around 60 + years. My only complaint is the bathrooms need remodeled.

Great pizza, wonderful atmosphere, and friendly helpful service. We ordered a small pizza, 1⁄3 basil & tomato, 1⁄3 margarita, and 1⁄3 godfather(red pepper and spinach). Two of three thought the basil and tomato was one of the best pizzas ever; the third liked the margarita better. I notice that a few people dislike the atmosphere — to our thinking, the lighting is pleasantly low(from Tiffany style lamps) and the ambience is homey(checked tablecloths, lots of nice stuff on brick & wood walls. We came because my friend remembered coming here 15 years ago for supper after storm king and she thought it was the best pizza ever. Also I noticed a very small number of complaints about soggy pizza among the many excellent reviews. It did seem that the pizza with marinara was slightly soggy especially compared to the other 2⁄3 of the pie. Perhaps if you load a pizza down with wet(marinara) or fatty(meat) ingredients, it will tend to get soggy.

Possibly the best tasting eggplant parmigiano I’ve had. Pizza looked fantastic also. Service was a bit slow but could’ve been short staffed that day. I’ll definitely return again

Very disappointing. You know that scene in Saturday night fever when John travolta folds his slice and its so crispy and it cracks. Mmm. This was so limp and soggy. Flavor was decent but it’s just not the best pizza I’ve had. And they ship overnight to people who want authentic NY pizza?! I wouldn’t ship this to people starving in Ethiopia.

Came here recently with a large group after we went to Storm King. Found this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Boy are we glad we did. The place is cute and a bit on the small side. We had to split up the group into 2 tables which was no biggie for us. Everything we ordered was good, service was friendly and food came out in a decent time. Highlights of our meal: queen margarita, prima meat lover and the grandpa. PS. save room for the cannoli !
