Great little mini golf course. But VERY challenging and not for the little ones, who will get bored after the first 9 holes.

Those mini golf course is AWESOME. It’s challenging, but still very possible to get 2 and 3 on many holes. The real grass takes a while to get used to(at least for us non-real golfers), but once you do, it’s a ton of fun. We were surprised by the bonus of a huge osprey nest on top of a light post on the course. There must be another nearby too — we saw 4 ospreys hanging out all night. Another fun OBX spot we can’t wait to try again!

Miniature golf is typically intended for all family members — old and young. There are often fun obstacles of some sort of theme connected by paved walkways. That is not the case here. This is intended for someone wanting to work on their putting skills over 20 holes. Perhaps if you had a budding golfer aged 10 or older, this would be a place to practice. Children will likely be bored and/or frustrated. It does not invoke the atmosphere of light-hearted putting. As someone who does golf, its fine for practice with my golfing friends and I might be irritated to have to wait for children to play during peak times of the year.

We played only a hole and a half. This course is a grass course(no problem) but it’s right next to some woods(problem). After 5 minutes we were being completely eaten by bugs, to the point that two of us actually had blood on us. It’s not the fault of the business for the bugs, but I cannot give any type of positive endorsement for what this business is trying to accomplish: a grass-course mini-golf center next to woods. The three-star rating is because we were immediately refunded for the experience. It is greatly appreciated.
