So I have an appointment at 6:30 p.m. for an MRI but then I get a call saying that they had a cancellation and it could be done at 12:30 if I wanted. I told her to make sure and call me back around 11:30 to see if they are on schedule. She calls me back and says, «Yes», come on in. So I drive to the location, fill out the paperwork, wait another 20 minutes because I arrived early. At 12:35 I asked why I hadn’t been seen yet. They said there were problems with the patient ahead of me. I informed her that, that wasn’t my problem, that I was assured that my appointment would be on schedule… sorry she says, there is nothing she can do about it. I wonder if I show up late to my appointment by 30 minutes if they would still see me? Wasted 30 minutes waiting for an appointment that was not to be. Wasted a drive to the location. Wasted a drive home. Spent money on gas, that I’ll never get back. Frustration and aggravation of someone wasting my time and not caring. It’s too bad this is one of those places that you have to come to because your health provider secured a contract with the low price leader of health services!
