El Pollo Loco

Stuck at the drive thru for at least 10 minutes now! Cars in front of us and behind. No way out now! So I have time to write this review. Won’t be back!!!

Food is as expected. Customer service is horrible. I asked the cashier for a spoon, not knowing there was one in my bag. She handed me a spoon and said there’s already one in the bag. She should have told me that before she disappeared to go get another spoon. As if I wanted to wait there longer for a spoon. When she was in the middle of giving me change back, she left with my change in her hand to complete another transaction, then came back to give me my change.

Absolutely the worst El Pollo Locco I’ve ever gone to.
The service is bad, and the food is horrible.
It’s 6:00pm, my husband and I stopped in for dinner. The place is crowded, they are out of white meat, we had to get dark meat. My husband ordered a three piece dinner with mashed potatoes & rice… he received a two piece meal with beans& chicken, he told the lady he didn’t order beans and she said «don’t eat them.»
He wanted a fresh dish with no beans on it and she gave him one.
I ordered a chicken & shrimp platter, they had no breast, I was given a thigh and three shrimp with a spaghetti sauce over it. This is a new meal and I gotta say it sucks!
I am surely not going to patronize this place again, consider this when you even think about eating here!

I haven’t been here for a few months, maybe longer. Mostly since I am off on Fridays and if you don’t get here early for lunch the line can be long.
Ate here yesterday and got the 2 piece meal-​white meat with beans and mashed potatoes. Rest of my party also got the 2 piece meal but dark meat. We all enjoyed the chicken. The skin is so good! Beans and potatoes were good as well. Everything was really hot and tasty. I tried my sisters corn (haven’t tried it before) and it was very good. Nice and buttery. I will have to order next time.
We arrived just after 11 a.m. so it wasn’t too crowded when we got there. However, there was a long line when we left.
I am taking away 1 star for parking since it can be difficult. Not their fault really, the fault of the City of Corona Building and Planning Dept that allowed such a horrible lay out. And with the frequent back up at the drive thru for Miguel’s it can be a headache maneuvering around.
The salsa bar is good and you can refill your own drinks. They serve Diet Coke-​my favorite.
We used our Community Discount card from local high school and you can’t beat the offer. Buy one BRC or 2 piece meal and get one free!
One note… to the (mostly) men who eat here and seat at a table for 6 when eating alone-​please be aware of those around you looking for a seat. Man up and seat with another diner if needed. Don’t take a table for six for just you.

Been back several times, and everything is back to normal. the only reason for 4 starts and not 5 is that the tables always need wiping down. Other than that, its a great place for a quick bite.

Pretty good location.
Came here for a quick lunch and there was a line out the door and every seat taken which really surprised me.
By the time I figured out what I wanted (why do they have more than 10 different salads?!!) it was our turn and by the time I stocked up at the salsa bar they called our name, perfect timing.
I had the mexican cobb and it was pretty big and worth the $ 7.
My husband had two chicken tacos, pass, the tortillas were horrible, and a chicken bacon quesadilla which he enjoyed.
Service was very nice, the place clean and the salsa bar stocked.
I like their rice and black beans and for not being a fan of chicken, I do like theirs, which has a nice grill/​char taste to it.
Not worth going out of my way for, but a nice and easy lunch.

they put avocado on my bowl when I said don’t put any and they gave me a diet coke when I asked for a cherry coke… the drive thru took 8 minutes… there was a language barrier… I understand the name is in Spanish, but the employees need to speak English… she couldn’t read numbers… she said my total was 18.10 and it was actually 15.10 thank God I was using debit or I probably would have been given incorrect change… this El pollo loco sucks

Absolutely disgusting. The food was cold and discolored! If I could have gave them no stars I would have!

Very good chicken. Really good black beans. Table and floor and everything was dirty and the condiment area was just nasty.

Great food and service. Avocado burrito is great! Dining room was clean! Even though they were crowded the service was quick!

Pros:
Food seem to have gotten healthier from several years ago.
Nicely priced 3 course family meals.
Unlimited supply of salsa bar.
Cons:
Parking can be a headache depending on when you go.
Drive thru can have the same predicament as parking
The chicken pieces are on the smallish side.
I will only go here if they give me a generous coupon and during off peak days/​times.

Love it! I’m here atleast once a week! ! Just wish parking wouldn’t be so overcrowded and it’s difficult to access the driver thru too!

I don’t usually go into the restaurant, I am more of busy body… so the drive thru it is. The service is fast here, as with most locations I encounter. The food is fresh, the chicken legs I order are blazing hot and the prices are great. What can I say, fast, fresh… that is for me for sure. Always a good experience, for fast food. That is a plus.

Got home and half of my 12 piece order was burnt… complained via email and went back and got my $ 29.15 back and get next meal on them!!! Complain complain if you want change and get your hard earned money back!!!

Love this El Pollo location. The staff is always friendly and helpful. (They even walk around to the tables asking everyone if they need anything else). The food has been fresh, hot, and very tasty every single time I’ve gone there and I’ve been there over 25 times in the last year.

Great food. Last time I was here, a few years ago, I said I would never come into the dining room because it was filthy. I figured I would try it again today… still filthy.
Tables and floor are not clean at all.

I love coming to this location to get their chocolate dipped ice cream. It’s terrific on a super hot day!

This place is a hit or miss… it’s the closest El Pollo Loco to my family’s house and we’ve eaten from it for years. The quality of the chicken has gone down over time; now it’s greasier and overcooked at times. Today my chicken was dry, stale, and ended up in my dog’s stomach rather than mine.
However, the joint isn’t completely bad! Sometimes the chicken is on-​point and the salsas are amazing.

Can’t complain. Good. Healthy. Love the marinade. The meat is tender, usually. And the grilled chicken skin, well, we fight over it.
The grilled chicken salad is one of my favorites, especially when drowned in their cilantro dressing.
And a couple of large cups filled with ranchero beans finishes off the meal. Yum!
We also always give ourselves a pat on the back for not eating something fried. And that is exactly what El Pollo delivers. Decent, reasonably priced foods and combos.
Can’t complain about the drive thru line either. Even though this is a popular spot, it moves well.

My favorite El Po location for the nearest 20 miles. Usually very clean and fast during lunch rush. I have been loving their $ 5 combo specials and prefer walking in to dive thru so I can get my salsa bar on. Today I tried the spicy chipotle fish tacos and was so happy. Meaty, fresh cabbage, chipotle sauce, cilantro & lemon. Ill try the non spicy tomorrow!
