My daughter is now 18. Dr. Emeruwa was my doctor in 1997 when she was born. She asked me how her birth was and for many times over her and her brother’s life, I reflected on the experience of giving birth. She was a C-Section because due to Dr. Emeruwa’s thoroughness, it was discovered I had Placenta Previa which is when the placenta is in FRONT of the baby which is very dangerous. This was discovered at 5 months. I ended up with a planned C-section. My first pregnancy was 27 months prior and a natural birth. I had a different doctor for my son who was born 10 days late as an INDUCED natural birth. I was open to a planned C-Section. Eighteen years later, I have a 2 healthy grown children! My daughter could have had problems. I have no problems from the epidural as many others have had who have had other incompetent doctors. My C-Section scar was done so well by Dr. Emeruwa it healed quickly and it’s barely detectable. Dr. Emeruwa must have realized how vain i am and I thank him for it. I see he’s expanded but I am going to make an effort to bring my daughter by on one of her college breaks to say hello and add her picture to the wall if he still has it.

I’ve never been so heart broken and treated so cold. I miscarried at 15weeks and had a D&C by Dr. Langston who is a phenomenal Doctor and is no longer with Aspen Medical Group. That same evening I was in excruciating pain, passing out, vomiting and sweating. My family member took me to the ER where I was admitted. Next morning Dr. Emeruwa came in asking if I was a drug addict, or if I was depressed. He told me your perfectly fine and I was suffering from grief and that if that was the case he could have referred me to a psychiatrist. He has absolutely no bed side manner. I am now seeing Dr. Koning who is very sensitive, and attentive to my new pregnancy. I’m also seeing a perinatologist because of the late term miscarriages I’ve had. Dr. Emeruwa never investigated why I was miscarrying. He recommended I get sterlized.

I was going to the clinic he’s at for pre natal care and was advanced to him as I am high risk. I am firing him as a doctor and going to one in another county! He wanted to make some risky moves like taking a factor five carrying mother off her lovenox because of a study he read. Risk? Death of me, baby, or both. He does not seem to be comfortable with me as a patient and I think that’s why he wants me off. He’s in and out and on to the next patient. I would rather give birth in the car than have him near me. I also heard through the speaker phone in the hall about a patient having major problems after a blood transfusion post delivery. He kept making his rounds faster than his usual fast. I’m halfway to my due date and have gained thirty lbs and he asked me how many candy bars I eat. Excuse me? Clinic looks nice but run.
