This is a nice place(kind of small) and had great music. The drinks prices were reasonable. The bartenders were friendly and the hookah was on point. There is only one ladies room which sucks but overall a very cool spot to drink, dance and do hookah. The only bad thing is about the heels rule. You have to go in with heels if not they charge you extra and you cannot have flats in your bag to change. You have to leave them. The most ridiculous thing I ever heard. So ladies makes sure you wear your comfy shoes if not your flats are hostage. Stupid rule !

I liked the food when I ate dinner there awhile back. It’s extremely expensive for what it is(Dominican) and for the location(Corona).

CLOSED. I received a Groupon for food and drinks to this place as a gift. This place is either CLOSED or they do not like business. Tried calling several times, no one ever answers the phone, doesn’t matter what day of the week/weekend or what hour. No one ever picks up the phone. Tried to randomly go there on a Friday night since it’s not too far from where I live. The doors were locked, the lights were out and there was a big dumpster in front. Fortunately my friend was able to get her many back for the Groupon she bought me. What a waste of time and money!

I’ve tried to visit this place three times during scheduled business hours, and they’ve been closed every time. I’ve tried calling them; they never pick up the phone. If this sounds like a place you’d like to go, please, by all means, head straight for Gabbana.

I have been here a few times & for the most part its not a bad place. The place as a restaurant works better because of the size. As a club it can get say too crowded & that’s such a pain since the place is so small. Decent food, good empanadas, tostones & Shrimp. The Baked chicken is pretty good & so is the Churrasco encebollado(w onions) They have good Red Sangria, but I like the White Sangria better. Cocktails are nothing special & w occasions we tend to get bottles the prices r decent in comparison. U can certainly have fun here decent atmosphere & the Music is not bad although they should play more of a variety they tend to get a bit stuck on just the Spanish music, which is fine since it is a Spanish place but still variety is the spicy of life. I’ve enjoyed good dinner’s here & party events & so far no complaints, service is nice, pretty décor & prices are reasonable. Same goes for the club, it b nice if the place didn’t get so jammed packed but oh well certainly not that big of a deal since it is a small place. I’ve always enjoyed myself here for dinner & the club, chances are I’ll keep stopping by.

When to Gabbana for the first time with a group of 7 to celebrate my cousin’s birthday. Nice ambiance, good Dominican food, but the service… is just terribly slow. Also the prices are a bit high for the area. However, it is a truly fun Dominican spot: very loud, strong drinks, and party atmosphere. Would I go back? not really. The noise level is really unbearable.

I couldn’t ask for a better representation of Dominican food/Dominicans in New York. Having grown up in Corona and always hearing about how«great» Jubilee was because of its similarities to the ranchos in the campos of DR, I was a little scared when first going to the restaurant. i was pleasantly surprised, however. The chicken was not only presented well, but was also delicious to boot! The dessert was to die for, and let’s not forget the decorations of the place. I can’t wait to go back!

Great presentation of food, and the great varied tastes are wonderful! The flan is to die for! And then the club at night is really hoppin! I’m an old man, but if my beard is right, I’m cool. The music is hot, and everyone knows how to party.

I usually just read other people’s reviews and literally«feed off»(yum-yum!) from other consumer’s taste buds. For this one, I think my two trips there deserve a mention and worth sharing… Food, especially the appetizers and desserts, were really good!!! We especially love the calamari, chips and guacamole and chicharones de pollo. Drinks, perfect for me! I had Gabba Colada and Sangria, I like girly girl drinks with minimal alcohol, these worked for me! My hubby liked their whiskey! Entrée: Huge servings, Strong sauces. My family said they liked it, I preferred the appetizers. Location — ok, not great. Ambience — loud, lounge-bar feel. But I went there with my little ones and had equally great time. Good thing, it is never crowded. Service — waiter very nice, patient and polite. Cooks/food preparer — was extremely slow on our first visit, improved on the next one. However, we found something that should not be in the salad which we brought up to the management. They apologized genuinely, and gave us free drinks/desserts. Because of that, I really wanted to give 4.5 starts but it does not allow me. Anyways, thanks to GROUPON we this little cozy nook. Hopefully, more groupons to come because regular price is pretty steep. Try it, you will find something you’ll enjoy!

Food-5 Stars Drinks-4 Stars Service– 3 Stars Décor-3 Stars Cleanliness– 3 Stars Overall experience-3.5 Stars The food alone makes up for everything else that you could possibly be mad at a restaurant for. this place is nice restaurant/loungish place. Nice date place for people under 40 years old. I’m African American and normally just eat soul food. But now I will be coming here a lot!

I had a birthday dinner at this place and although it has pretty nice décor and music, the food was not good. I ordered the churrasco and was highly disappointed… maybe it was because we got there pretty late(like 10:30pm) and our server was rushing us to order because the the kitchen was closing, but either way my food came out really cold and there’s no excuse for that! The couple next to us also complained about their food being cold as well. I was not impressed at all.

Great looking place, good cocktails and the food seems to have a Nuevo Latino concept with a heavy Dominican influence. However, it’s not like your average Latin spot with the overwhelming portions and grease. It’s more about the presentation, flavor and ingredients. The food is very tasty and unique. I personally liked it a lot but the group I was with were expecting a more traditional Latin meal. So between the smaller than usual portions and pricey menu items they were turned off. I applaud Gabbana for trying this in Corona I just don’t know how well it’ll be received in the area. Wish them luck, it’s not cheap here but if you can appreciate nice presentation and some tasty items I’m sure you’ll like it here.

Getting Dominican in Corona is like getting Indian in Jackson Heights, but Gabbana takes Dominican to a whole new level. The food, while having the ingredients and flavors you would expect, is very sophisticated and interesting. We were very impressed. The four of us split 3 appetizers and each had an entrée. The service was very good, our waitress was attentive but not hovering, and we felt taken care of and not rushed. The one flaw in our meal that was compared to the generous servings of the main courses, the small plates were surprisingly… small. We split the four appetizers, and we all got just a bite of each(except the guacamole). Appetizers: Guacamole: Delicious and generous with a variety of interesting chips(yucca, plantain, tortilla and something else). It was very light and fresh. Arepa Trio: Small, but amazing. Duck, chicken salad and chorizo. We split each Areapa into 4 pieces, which was *tiny*(especially considering the entrée’s were all huge), but the flavors were excellent. Oxtail: Almost like a Dominican eggroll, the oxtail appetizer was excellent. Main Courses: Salmon: mine: The salmon was lightly crusted and cooked to perfection. The bed of spinach was the most excellent spinach I had ever eaten. The mashed… yucca? Was tasty and delicious. Paella: friend 1: I did not get to try this, but she seemed very pleased with the dish. There was a lobster claw in the middle, and the presentation was impressive. The serving was generous. Roasted Pork: My husband: The pork was huge. Like, gigantic bone of pork which after my husband had eaten his fill, looked like he hadn’t taken a bite. In addition to impressive size, it was also delicious. Moist and flavorful. Branzino: friend 2: Impressive presentation. Delicious. My friend did not have any leftovers. All in all, while we were there we were planning our return trip. I’m not sure if they currently are doing brunch, but I hope they start one soon(they have a «coming soon» brunch menu on their website, but their dinner menu was expanded from the website, so I’m hopeful). A++ visit.

*New* place for modern Dominican cuisine in the Corona area of Queens. Food Rating: 4.5 As told by our server, this place opened in August. The place is an upscale restaurant and turns into a lounge on Thursdays through Saturday nights with a house DJ. Bf and I ordered the following: 1) Spaghetti con langosta — Manchego truffle cream, asparagus, chanterelle mushroom, pancetta 2) Crispy branzino — marinated in sour orange and Dominican oregano, stuffed rock shrimps, scallops, crab meat, lobster, green pigeon pea rice, coconut Spanish creole sauce Both dishes were delish. Only gripe was that the dishes were a bit pricey(for the area). The Crispy Branzino was $ 25 and the Spaghetti was $ 24. However, you definitely get your money’s worth with the amount of seafood in the dish as well as the portion size. Bf and I brought enough food home for another meal! Bf and I both agree the location of the restaurant is not ideal… it’s on Northern Blvd and 107th Street. It’s missing a lot of the foot traffic from Roosevelt Ave & the train station, so we hope this place makes it. The food was really good and the atmosphere is great! Definitely a gem in the neighborhood. Train: Take the 7 train to 111th Street, walk north for about 15 minutes Part of the Dining Room: Banana Chips: More info — check out their website: DEFINITELY will be back

I felt like i walked into a small city restaurant. The decorations are great, very romantic feeling. The food comes in large proportions but everything is great. I would say its Dominican-American or what is called«Modern-Dominican». For appetizers, we had shrimp and Calamari with a spicy marinara sauce. For entrée we had a paella(perfectly made) and oven roasted pork which melted in your mouth. We were so full but had to get dessert; mango sorbet, flan, and la crème. My favorite was the mango sorbet, it took me back to my grandparent’s home in Dominican republic, sitting under the mango tree and eating a sweet mango. Only that this sweet mango was cold. I can’t wait to get back there again.

Corona is by no means short on Dominicans let alone Dominican restaurants. With Gabbana, chef Ricardo Cardona and business partner Yamil Martinez( ) throw a little«fine dining Latin American» into Corona with a fresh Dominican twist. The space is very nicely done with a rustic island sleekness not found in the neighborhood. The service was attentive and helpful without being overbearing. The food was excellently presented, and cooked. Calamari: great sauces, tender squid, served on a bed of watercress. Breading slightly bland and light for my liking but I guess the sauces provided the flavor. Bacalao Guisado: Amazing. Nice balance of salty and sweet as well as soft warm mushiness against the crunch of the fried yuca/cassava. Paella: Another home run. Choc-full of perfectly cooked seafood goodness. Seafood-infused moist rice. Deliciously sweet and firm peas. Vinegar-soaked peppers and onions. Generous helping. Cheesecake flan: This was like flan on steroids. Take a decent flan then add even more thickness and creaminess. The raw mango topping provided some bite against the consistently creaminess of the flan itself. Yum! Gabbana is a lounge too so I look forward to going back for a drink or three. I’ll definitely be back for the food. Not cheap but you get what you pay for right!
