Meat was good but that was pretty much it. How much meat can a human eat anyway? I like my sides and I like my carbs and when I go to buffets I enjoy the variety. The choices for the buffet were so limited and dessert was NOT included! WTF? I went on fathers’ day and we paid $ 35 per person and this did not include the 8.375% tax and the 15% tip. I felt we could’ve eaten the same amount of(good) food and have paid half the price somewhere else. It wasn’t terrible. The food tasted good but I’ve definitely had waaay better for waaay less. If the restaurant was fancier I wouldn’t have minded the price but it was a mess and our waitress was not very attentive. Definitely will pass next time someone invites me.

I went to Green Field around a year ago and it gave me the impression that the Quality of what they serve must be at the bottom of their priority list. I’ll give two stars because I can see that for diners who mostly care about quantity this place might be good. But their food alone would deserve 1.5. Not crap, but not good at all.

If it’s edible, they will grill it. Everytime I go, Green Field never disappoints me. The steak is grilled to perfection, especially the juicy and tender sirloin steak. The cheesy bread(pan de queso) is amazing and the condiments at the buffet are fresh. I recommend the oxtail stew, fried cassava, garlic chicken, and Greek rice. Continuing with the meats, I also recommend the salmon and the chicken as well. Make sure you try the Brazilian sugar rum margarita, it’s puro and potent, will leave you feeling nice. The deserts are amazing, especially the strawberry cheesecake. Also the grilled pineapple seemed weird at first, but turned out to be an interesting blend of sweet and saltiness which ignites your taste buds. It’s a huge place with the heads of animals hanging off the wall and a waterfall. Ideal place for special occasions and judging by the pictures, i’m pretty sure the Brazilian national soccer team dines there when in town. Did I mention the hostess is usually a fly Brazilian, Colombian, or Dominican girl? Just some food for thought

Feeling carnivorous? Did you wake up with hair on your chest and the need to walk on your knuckles this morning? After pounding your chest, sharpen your canines, club your woman over the head and drag her by the hair to Green Fields! After your lady regains consciousness she’ll step to the salad bar with plethora of greens and other things chicks eat. Us men don’t waste stomach space on grass, unga. We take the indicator and flip it to the green side for go and on comes the proteins! I’m there mainly for the prime rib, lamb, sirloin, pork, sausage and definitely the skirt steak. The poultries are usually too dry and rabbit’s extremely gamey so I stay away from those. Three years ago I would’ve said this place was worth it but now, it seems a bit too steep.

I went on a blind date. My date wanted to take me to this place. I had no idea what greenfield was or what it meant to go here. So when we met up here and walked into the grand dining area I was half expecting to be blown away because it just felt like it would be a good place… and the joint was PACKED. that had to mean something right? when we were seated, they took our drink orders and showed us the green and red side of the little thing-a-ma-bob. And then my date brought me to the salad bar. OMG. A Buffet. On a FIRSTDATE? FML. One, i was nervous. and Two, buffets on a first date are too awkward. I didnt love anything being offered. It was all«meh» at best. then the meats came around. Dry roast beef. Bland steaks. DRY chicken. Good sausages. and Decent skirt steaks. the amount of food eaten here is ridicuous. My friends husband is a pro wrestler and comes here to gorge after he works out… but its a dream to anyone on the atkins diet. meat coming around and being served to you. I know for me, if im going to pay $ 30 for dinner, i would like quality vs quantity. And the date was horrendous.

This place is OVERRATED. If you think this is good food… then you’ll like Sizzler… I went with a friend on Sunday to Green Field. Thank goodness it was a party that we didnt pay for because I dont think it is worth anything. It is horrible food. Green Field serves the same cuts again and again. BORING. The meat is not even seasoned or marinated. If I could give zero stars I would!!! I dont want to criticize with no solution here so if you are craving all you can eat meat that is good with a better buffet selection including Japchae, dumplings, fried rice, chicken wings… I’m urging you to please try PICNICGARDEN in FLUSHING, NY. In PICNICGARDEN there is so much more variety. You would have to go to see what I mean. The meats in PICNICGARDEN are marinated and there is all kinds of meat like gizzards, shrimp, sausage, tripe, beef short ribs, squid, pork, chicken and more.

I’m sorry this place is so overrated. A few friends of mine told me that I should try it because I do happen to like many types of meats. i had one friend that said it wasn’t good that she went years ago and didn’t like it. I have to say I should have just listened to her. I did not like it at all. One they kept bringing the same types of meat over and over. All beef and some pork chunks. most of them were tough as well and had no flavor. i didn’t have any lamb, or any other type of meat. beef and pork. that was it. The guy asked me «well what do you want because I am just going to repeat the same meats over and over. The buffet and salad bar is mediocre. Hot buffet has not so good tasting rice, sad looking french fries, instant mashed potatoes… The salad bar had some salad but were missing some of the dressings that were supposed to be there… The cold cuts looked like really horrible quality. They had many cold salads made with mayo, ie, potato, macaroni(many different types) veggie salads. When the dessert tray came around they claimed they had strawberry shortcake. It is not strawberry shortcake at all. It was a piece of cake with some creamy strawberry filling. The bottom of the cake was soaking wet. Yuk… The only thing that was good was my drink, which was just cognac straight. I left there hungry and very disappointed. I will never go back and I am so glad I didn’t try the place with my daughter and mother the way we had planned.

Meat baby! My buddy is in from out of town and is a big time meat guy. He suggested this place since he Googled meat palaces before he came to NY and although I’m trying to be healthier these days, we went anyway. Brazilian BBQ — well it is basically a meat Disneyland. They just keep brining the arterial clogging goodies until you give in and turn the wood block over to the red side. Nuff said. To me though, the meat all seemed salty and of not much variety — I would have liked to see some chicken or other less red-meat options. There is a salad bar with plenty of options for some veggies etc. I was a bit perplexed about the deli meats though– why bother when they are bringing skewers of the real thing right to your table. Some amateurs were loading up the salad plates and heading back to the table– silly people. $ 27.99 for the meat madness and drinks and desert is extra unless you take some fruit from the buffet. The caipirinha’s were fine. Valet parking–

I think somewhere over the meaty rainbow, there’s better places for all-you-can-eat Brazilian steak house. When my guy friends kept telling me about the amazingness of their favorite Brazilian steak house, my standards were pretty high. They told me fantasies of having turkey rapped in bacon or any type of meat you can think of cut to perfection and men continually bringing you meat all based on a green painted salt and pepper shaker looking indicator; the red means I’m gonna explode if I eat another morsel. We were a party of six and seated right away. We were told to help ourselves to the included buffet spread as our drinks were being prepared. The buffet wasn’t really worth going up more than once for. The spare ribs were delicious and the«buffalo» chicken. The chicken was far from spicy, but tasty overall with dry rub herbs; I can tell. The meat that was brought to the table were arranged on a sword(I’m dead serious) that acted like a skewer. Skirt steak, rabbit, duck, beef, chicken, filet mignon, and more were brought out and I fell into a meat coma. If I were a vegan, I think I’d die. The meats were glorious to look at, but the taste for most came to me as a half bloodied, half cooked mess that I felt ashamed to waste. Some things weren’t just my thing, like the rabbit; nice to say at least I tried it. Overall, I really can’t fathom as to what the wet dreams were about; I wouldn’t exactly say I’d run back and especially driving to get there isn’t the most straight forward drive you’ll ever have.

The carnage. They come around skewers of flesh, all kinds, and they give you some on your plate. You can eat all kinds of different stuff, heart, kidney, the variety of flesh is amazing. All you can eat is an unhealthy encouragement to over eat. When you add in eating the flesh of sentient beings, and you’ve got a big bowl of wrong. You can all you can eat vegetarian, but it’s not going to feel right as everyone around you gorges on the carnage. If you eat meat, this place has an unhealthy suggestion of eating all you can eat. The excesses of America. I vow to never set foot in here again.

Woo hooo! Meat and more meat! Meat wrapped in meat. How can u go wrong? Went Fathers day, it was packed, we had reservations. I had filet mignon, sausage wrapped in bacon, roast beef, pork, and ribs. I kept the thing in the green as much as possible. Valet was overwhelmed, took about 30 minutes to get the car. Go if you can. Its an awesome concept for any carnivore.

Has anybody figured out the algorithm used to calculate which days the rabbit, duck, bison, quail, lamb, and other exotic meats are served? I don’t visit Green Field very often, but when I do, I want me some exotic meat. Oh yeah, and the skirt steak. And the prime rib. And the tenderloin. And the chorizo. Okay okay I’ll just leave the little salt shaker thing on Green. Bring it on! Yeah, the salad bar is just kinda there… the only mention-worthy dishes there are the oxtail stew and *maybe* the paella. Skip dessert and pass on the alcohol. They aren’t included in the ACYE price.

Came on a Wednesday night for a farewell party. Usual steaks, chicken, and sausages… but no rabbit, boar, quail, or duck. This is really why we picked Green Field’s to begin with, but the meat that was served was still very good. Especially the skirt steak. That was excellent!

Food — The meats and buffet dishes here are very similar to what they served at Master Grills(Closed). The meats here are cooked pretty well. They got everything from ribs, sausages, chicken, chicken hearts, steak, lamb, and more. The quality of the meats here I can’t complain. It’s the buffet dishes that kinda suck here. the only decent thing is the ox tails. The rest is pasta, salad, french fries, mash potatoes, and some more common dishes you would find in a buffet. Drink — Soda, wine, beer, coffee, tea, and water. I’d say stick with water or hot tea. The greasiness of some of the food here needs to be washed down with something hot. Think of you hot beverage as Drano! Service — The servers move around the restaurant with the meats often so no worries here. They also go around with a dessert cart if I remember correctly. Crowd/Ambiance — I don’t think I ever seen a full house in here or any type of wait line. The place is clean and well organized. The only issue I have here is their price. It’s a bit of a rip off. But they do have valet parking service which is a plus in my book. Verdict — I’d say skip it or come here just once every few years. It’s not a place you wanna spend your money on often.

Food: Lots of meats to choose from. Ribs, sausages, steak, chicken, rabbit, lamb to name a few. Most of the meat are cooked well, not overdone. The steak can be hit or miss however. Sometimes its tender and other times you feel like you’re chewing gum. Whatever meat you choose to eat, prepare to shrivel up from the ungodly amount of salt contained in it. They have to actively marinated and inject salt into the meat to get it this salty. I recommend just asking for a thin cut of whatever meat you want to get. The buffet food consists of rice/pasta/salad items. The fried finger foods(onion rings, fries, etc.) There is also ox tail that I like. Just gotta let you know that the ox tails are the end portions where there is scant meat, mostly cartilage. Drink: Soda/wine/beer/water. Didn’t check out the wine or beer selections. We went for the sangria, which was a horrible choice. The wine tasted funky and fruit were soaked way too longed or reused(disgusting thought), because it was too mushy. Kind of like apple sauce. Service: Meat gets brought around quite often. The plates get cleared in a quick manner. Average service you would expect from a buffet. Crowd/Ambiance: This place never feels packs as it is huge. Good space for parties large or small, if the food was better and they lost the tacky decorations. Re-reading that sentence, I think I’m trying to say it’s not a good place for parties large or small. Valet parking in front.

If you love steak or any other meat, this is a great place for you. I’m a huge steakeater and loved this place. It’s a little pricey, but well worth it. Specially with a big group. This place has a whole bunch of different meat. Make sure you come with an appetite.

I’ve been here three times — once for an early dinner, once for a late dinner, and once for an extremely drunken Thanksgiving… The meat selection is incredible — beef(sirloin, tenderloin, skirt, flank, rib eye), pork, lamb, duck, rabbit, chicken, turkey, sausage, salmon — if you want something done rare just ask, if you want something done well just ask, the waiter will go back to the kitchen and bring out something especially for you — and the quality of everything is always pretty good, but one small complaint is that the turkey was more than a little dry… They have, for some reason, sushi rolls(made fresh to order), and big wheels of parmasean cheese, and a bunch of soups(I had an extremely delicious oxtail soup two different times that honestly I would come back again just for this dish alone), and then there’s the salad bar /buffet — there’s a huge variety of stuff but I wouldn’t say any of it is particularly interesting, there’s twenty types of fried potatoes and ten types of rice, but really I think they’re lacking in vegetables — nothing is particularly fresh, I usually just get a plate of tomatoes and beets and hearts of palm, concentrating instead on the meat, leaving more room for the good stuff — there’s a dessert cart, but honestly I’ve never had enough appetite remaining to ever even actually consider it… The service is nice and incredibly attentive, the wine list is limited but affordable, the space is huge and clean, the clientele can be a bit obnoxious at times as many people oftentimes come with multiple children who always seem to be either screaming or crying, but the price is just right — I’ll definitely be back at some point, it’s a great place to go with friends and stuff yourself while getting drunk, and it’s thankfully extremely easy to escape from the worries of the outside world and just let go.

All you can eat steak gets five stars. The meat is pretty decent and I LOVETHESKIRTSTEAK. Thats what you want. I took a star off because the salad bar option is kinda wack. They try though, there are some sushi rolls(I think thats what they were… I tried a california roll, hey you tried…), there was soup, pasta salad, regular salad, etc. Nothing you won’t find at ruby tuesdays’ salad bar. Now back to the meat, if you want some steak, chicken, and some other meats, this is a good place to go and just eat. The other star I took off is because the website pricing is not accurate and I was charged more than what was advertised. I don’t mine paying if you tell me what it costs but when you pull the olé switchero, its not a good look. The inside of the place looks decent and has a waterfall near the window. The people come around with different meats. A bunch of different ones so leave that green light on, even if you think you dont want anything else because chances are, you might want to at least sample some of the meat you havent seen yet. I say you get a group of hungry people together and you go get you some all you can eat steak!

Meat Galore! My friend and I decided to visit this sport for the Fourth of July dinner. This was my first; I have ever been to a Brazilian restaurant. We did not have to wait for a table. It was not crowded at all. We had a red/green sign on the table, but even when it was at stop, they kept coming. I was happy just enjoying the buffet. They had a braised beef with yucca in this huge simmering pot that was simply delicious. The short ribs were tasty, so was the wrapped turkey in bacon, it was very good. My friend enjoyed the skirt steak, but was disappointed that he was served this meat after six different others. Other than that, the hot and cold bar was pretty tasty! Only go to this place if you are extremely hungry!

My family and I visited this spot in June. After being spoiled by Clinton’s(sorry Hell’s Kitchen, Midtown West residents) Churrascaria Plataforma, I can’t give this place a good shake. The red and green signs are worthless if the staff stops coming around with more meat, assuming we were all full. Although I enjoyed some items, asking for medium or medium rare meat is like asking for the last life jacket on the Titanic. It is more cost effective, but I’d rather spend more money to rock out with my pork out in the city. I won’t return. IFHTP1
