I have eaten here since the early 90’s– I won’t trade this Chinese spot for no other! If you’re ever there, ask for George and tell him the«teacher» from 102 sent you :-)

I lived several blocks from here at one point, and would eat here once every week. The vegetable fried rice and chicken wings are on point and the service is always fast and accurate. You can also get totones with your food . I’m serious! The owner is the sweetest man in the world.(At least to me), he pretty much subsitutes anything you’d ask for. I moved further out into Queens, and my boyfriend was missing it a lot. I had no qualms to utilize that excuse and make a trip out there just for the food. $ 32.00 later, two bags full of food, and a hike later, I have never seen a guy so happy to see a meal that wasn’t made by his prehistoric nana. Lol The rest of the family was ecstatic, and so was I. With the trip, and the sloshing around, the food was still pretty warm and tasted awesome. Yes, the place is pretty much a hole in the wall, and when you go in there, there is not much place to sit and eat, but it is so worth it to try at least once.

Ho Mei is everything I need in a Chinese takeout spot. The very popular chicken wings have good flavor and were super crispy. The General Tso’s has a sweet flavor twist which sets it apart from the competition – this is my personal favorite dish. With great prices and a friendly staff, I always keep this place in mind when I need a quick dinner. I come here so much I’m thinking about dropping the«i» and calling this place«Home.»
