Jim Merritt Picture Framing

Jims challenge was to frame a medal, some certificates and photos and of course some running shoes! Well he put the concept together created a life size depiction of it and then built the frame and cover from scratch out of a frame and Plexiglas for a shadowbox. The half marathon details of the race were inserted into the shoes and a unique framing of the medal itself all came together to celebrate us making it through the race. My friend loves it and it helps us keep running!

Jim is a master in his craft. He framed what I considered to me an ordinary picture of my kids and made it look fantastic. Clients and colleagues always compliment me on how good it looks. He is meticulous with the preservation of the item and the aesthetics in the front and the back. He comes with my highest recommendation.

About ten years ago my wife completed a large 3×4 oil painting that she never had framed, but always expressed that she would like to one day. When I met Jim Merritt I told him that I would like to surprise my wife for Christmas, but that the painting could only be with him for a day and would have to be back by the time my wife got home from work. Not only did Jim make this happen, but the framing job he did was simply amazing. He left an air-​gap between the gold leaf box frame ‘floating’ the painting so to speak. His workmanship is superb and he sets the highest standards!!! We won’t be going to any one else for our framing and memorabilia display needs.
