My barber is Yaniel.
Since it opened up I have been getting my cuts only from him, First time I walked in he saw me & told me I was next while everybody else just looked at me & didn’t say if they were available or not. Plus Yaniel hooks it up nice, Trust me. Come here for a great atmosphere, Good music & great cuts.

Having grown up in Brooklyn and now living in Queens — this is what I look for in a barber shop.
Two televisions which either sports or music videos on all the time. In the background great music. It could be Top 40 Hits music, Merengue, Bachata or a great mix of all of it. Never fails that one of the barbers will be singing.
The banter and conversation is exactly what you look for. From politics to sports to real estate… you talk about everything and anything. A lot of joking around… and like Cheers its a place where everyone knows your name.
Some of the barbers do require appointments but this is a good thing as it avoids issues as to who is next and spending four hours waiting to get a hair cut!
I’ve been getting a hair cut from Joaquin for close to 6 years now. Actually followed him from his previous shop to this one when he decided to go off on his own. I’m loyal — I won’t get a hair cut if he is away or on vacation. LOL
It is local but worth a try if you live in the area. Great location too. You can have dinner at Parkside afterwards or before. In the summer Spaghetti Park is always packed and gives you the perfect opportunity to have Lemon Ice King.
