I’ve been wanting to try BJJ for a while, but I’m really picky on the school. I was looking for great coaches, a women’s program, not too big, nice community, and one that is really about the sport, respect and honor and not just kicking butt rawr :)
PTT was the answer to my prayer. After my first class, I instantly signed up. It was a no brainer, especially with their 30 day free promo.

I have been a member for almost 6 mo. now. I joined Pacific Top Team in search for a better school and to improve my skills. In this short period of time, I have found that Professor JP Garcia is not only a very skilled black belt, but he is a very caring and humbled human being. This is where I’ve been training Brazilian jiu jitsu and muay Thai for almost a month now, and my overall experience has been awesome!
I came to learn self defense methods, but I am getting so much more! This experience has been mentally and physically rewarding! I’m hooked: p
I was hesitant at first because I’m stretching my budget, but it has been a wonderful investment! I got a great deal! However, I once told myself that money can be earned, but time is limited. What you choose to do with your time, is your decision but wouldn’t you rather make good use of it? I have benefited so much in just a few weeks, and I can only imagine where I’ll be in a few months or years!

By the way, I have no experience in bjj, I am 5 feet TALL, 95lbs, and I’m a woman. I point that out, because I know it may seem intimidating but I just want to reassure you that pttcorona have such a welcoming environment which is ran by professor jp, along with coach Kimberly Pruyssers Bowser, coach mike, coach Joe, and coach Daniel Sandoval! All very skilled and talented people!
Just stop looking for other gyms, and contact pttcorona! :) if you’re still not convinced then I challenge you to look for a more affordable gym, and availability of schedules with various programs for kids, women, bjj (all levels), and muay thai. You won’t because I searched. I was in your shoes. I was reading Unilocal,calculating my budget, and my time schedule. I have no regrets, and I urge you to try it. :)

I was just going to check this academy out for a month as my teenage daughter was interested in Jiu Jitsu for self defense. It didn’t take a month for us to love it at PTT Corona because we felt so welcome by Professor JP as women beginners and have never been in martial arts. He worked with us patiently and has offered now women-​only classes for those who prefer to learn Jiu jitsu with the same gender. We love how how we are learning this gentle art and are happy that the academy is clean and spacious, also very safe and family-​oriented. We definitely enjoy the variety of classes being offered for both kids and adults. It’s great to see my daughter and 8 yr. old twin boys love Jiu jitsu and look forward to our classes at PTT Corona. We are more than pleased to be training at PTT with Professor JP and Coach Daniel.

I signed up my son after talking to Professor JP Garcia. My son was always reluctant to do Jiu Jitsu and now he loves it! I have since joined myself and I love it. It’s like family and that’s important to me.
I would recommend PTT to anyone who wants to get in shape and learn self defense.

My Family and I have been training BJJ for about 3 years now and were looking for a new home. PTT has exceeded our expectations! My kids (Ages 16, 10,8,6) have never been more excited to go to class! Both Professor JP and Coach Dan are actively involved in all the classes and flawlessly teach the kids Jiu Jitsu techniques all while having a great time. In addition to teaching the kids in a fun and safe environment, JP helps the kids to understand how to be respectful and mindful of each other and develop important character traits such as sportsmanship and safety! The Adult classes are FANTASTIC! JP’s passion and natural teaching ability shines though. He implements conditioning right alongside technique. He is patient and very detailed oriented, but breaks things down into simple steps that make learning easy. I love the drilling and repetition of techniques and situational training. Every class format is a bit different which keeps things fun and exciting! Both Professor JP and Coach Dan are genuine, authentic people providing a top notch, quality BJJ experience for anyone whether you have already been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or you are looking to start!

My kids have been training here for about 1−½ months now. Professor JP is very good with kids of all ages. I am amazed at how well my kids are picking BJJ up. I had my son signed up in martial arts before and the fun they are having at PTT Corona does not even compare. We all feel like family being a part of the team.
I have only done 4 classes myself due to my schedule. I wish I had more time to do more classes. I am in good shape and found BJJ to really help on my core. I am new to martial arts. JP makes you feel very comfortable learning at this facility. Look or ask for promos to try it out. I guarantee you’ll sign up.

I started training here about two weeks ago and I love it! Professor JP is very knowledgeable and an excellent teacher and martial artist! I look forward to every class, the atmosphere is awesome and the academy is always super clean! Very positive place and highly recommended!

My son trained here on Monday and loved it. It’s a really nice and clean facility. The trainers are very friendly and helpful. My son can’t wait to go back and train. It’s great for kids and adults.

Just came for a seminar today, the head coach JP is just such a great instructor, super friendly! All levels were training here, with a great mix of beginners and advanced so anyone would be challenged.
Mats were brand new which was a first for me and I’ve trained in quite a few places. The facility is very clean. I don’t live in Corona, drove in from Tarzana, otherwise this would be my go to gym!

Professor JP is such a great teacher for kids and adults. The gym is super clean and big. I love the facility and the quality of professor JP’s instruction. Best BJJ school. Highly recommended.
