Very bad service! First of all, they didn’t have what we wanted. Despite that we went ahead and ordered pani puri. The puri was just fried papads! Also, they served us in foam bowls and foam glasses with plastic spoons, as I’d they do not have real utensils. When I wento to drink water, the water had black specks in it. Upon telling one of the ladies to get me some clean water, she went up to the tap, and got me hot and dirty water. Never coming here again!

There are a few times in life when you know you have to face the facts and do what is right. I ve been a loyal Singh costomer ever since they opened. The people are very friendly and i had always been treated well. Their food is amazing and i have catered many times. Call me a fool for i feel like one to keep going back to them inspite of their short cuts to make a few extra bucks. Day one of our visit, my 3 kids were excited to find mango ice cream in their freezer, after which all 3 fell sick. The temperature setting is not monitored. Most of the products though well arranged are past expiry dates. One day found the seal open and fungus was all over the ginger/garlic paste. I took it to the manager and he sent it directly to the kitchen. I was shocked and asked him why did he not trash it? I was given the explanation that«indian food is always well cooked, and all the germs get killed! More over there’s tonns of preservatives in these products to cause any damage». Another incident, when we ordered mango lassi and got a very frothy, sour, fermented one. up on complaining we got a replacement with it added to the bill! Talking of bill, ive been billed many times for things i have not purchased, please kindly pay full attention at check out. its no fun going back asking for what they owe u. I once bought cooking coconut oil from them, once i opened i was shocked by its unpleasant smell but i went ahead and cooked with it, still trusting the product. now my whole house was stinking. I drove at once to the store along with the food i cooked and asked the lady at the counter to try it. The smell was so bad, she point blank refused. I gave my two cents of advice and to my horror the expiry date was 2011 and we were in December 2014! January 2015 i got some til burfie, which had tiney creatures all over the inside. I took it back to get replacement but to my shock, everything in stock had them. I settled in for peanut brittle and had to pay the difference. Not an apology. nothing. Wasted my time. The last straw was the 2 bags of basmati rice i got in April 2015. It didn’t look, smell or taste like basmati at all and to top it off there was more bugs in the bag than rice, not exaggerating! ! I went back to get a replacement, now i had to pay an extra 6 bucks! .again no apologies. I am very sad to write this review but i do NOT want this store to be a health hazard to the innocent public. They definitely lost a costomer. I gave them many chances to correct themselves but a bag of bugs instead of rice expecially when our indian staple is rice just crossed the line. Please ppl be smart about your money and ur health, we dont pluck money from our backyard tree. we all deserve better! Wish there was an option to pick a star lower than 1!

Just ordered 15 pounds of ladoos from this store last weekend — 03/21/2015. They were really good and price was reasonable as well. All my friends and colleague in office loved them and asked me the store from where I got them made. I hope they get many more orders. Thanks.

Went there at 11am on a Thursday morning and place was not busy at all. Ordered the Lunch Special for 6.99 $ which is all vegetarian. Loved it! Fresh Naan and my favorite vegetables were ready to eat. Store is huge and aisles are stocked very neatly. Biggest plus was the personal customer service by ‘Sarabjit’. Will definitely be coming back!

Ok, first of all I want to say I’ve been here three times as a customer, twice with my father and yesterday on my own. The store has a large selection, clean isles, and clean professional experienced mini grocery store. There is one HUGE flaw, key employees attitude. Word of advice to the management; gone are the days you can treat non whites or other minority of a minority in a rude unprofessional tone. When a customer is lost in your store and has to go up to you to ask where a product is and you show him/her like you’re doing them a favor. Check out employee was fine, seems like some of the management(probably family member of owner) have to polish their customer service skills for sure. Stars are so low because I put emphasis on customer service.

We walked in for some authentic food and we walked right out. The manager and or the clerk was too busy cleaning the window inside to even take our order.

A wonderful authentic market! I have driven by for years but never ventured in until my Indian friend got a craving for dosa(which was delicious!) The rice, lentil, spice and snack selection is large and the service is friendly. Next time I will be back for more food and Indian ingredients.

I always get my alterations done here. My mother in law makes sure it is done by a certain time and always picks out the best jewelry. As for the cooked food we love it. I always bring something home with me when I go and the whole house enjoys it!

Went by today. I can’t believe that I have driven by here for almost 3 years and didn’t know that they had a lunch buffet. It is pretty much all day. I didn’t get out for lunch until 3:30 today and was really hungry. I didn’t even fill my plate and I was full. They made fresh garlic nan. So good. I noticed the store carried a lot of my English favorites in the candy area too. I will definitely eat here again. The menu changes up every day so it is not always the same. So many desserts in the cases that you order by the pound. Maybe next time! Can’t beat the price for $ 5.99 if you eat in. There are at least 10 tables so there is plenty of room.

Nothing better than a healthy dinner made of a salty lassi, samosa and a thali of vegetarian food. I love to come here to enjoy the tasty food and good customer service of their café

I just went to Singh’s Cash and Carry for the 2nd time this week. Both times I was warmly welcomed. They helped me understand some of the products they sell and the food they prepare. All the food they prepare is vegetarian, made daily, and is delicious! You can eat in or carry out. I highly recommend that you all give this place a try. Also, I agree with another reviewer, I would love it if they offered some cooking classes there!

I love their Indian Foods. It is prepared fresh and staff is very polite. Their Thali is just unbelievably delicious !!! It is really better than Pioneer Cash & Carry — Artesia, CA. You can find everything here that you can get in Artesia and plus they have a very good food with economical prices that you can every find in Artesia.

I love this store. If you need a place to find Indian, Middle Eastern or Mediterranean ingredients, then this is the place. Excellent selection of spices and dry goods such as rice, nuts, beans and such. They also have a little café inside with hot food, desserts ans lassis. I got 6 baseball sized potato samosas for only $ 4.50 and they were fried to order and excellent. The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is their produce selection is really small and uninspiring, but then I don’t go there for that anyway.

Wow. A truly huge Indian market. Two to three times the average mom and pop store. How could I have missed this? It has been open for about 8 months and is less than a mile from my home. The piped in music, the smells of herbs, spices and incense will make you think you have been transported to the other side of the world. The shelves and shelves of saris, fabrics, and jewelry, well it is just gorgeous. You cannot help but notice the candy counter of freshly made sweets and snacks. They sell by the pound and are made on site. Delicious, beautiful to look at, pleasant tasting, with nuts and spices that will make you want to go back for more. The little café inside is another feature. Today’s hot foods consisted of creamy garbanzo dish, a lentil stew, a combination of fried vegetables, and so many other items. A lunch will cost you about $ 6, and could be a sampler of several different dishes, or just one. The groceries, mostly imported. Aisles upon aisles of the exotic. They have sweets and snacks, kitchen wares, good produce, canned goods, and a large selection of frozen foods. Rices and flours, either in small quantities or in large bulk bags. All for the Indian palate. Now for those of us who love to cook but are baffled by all these exotic ingredients, I may have to stalk others who frequent the store, just so I can learn. Otherwise, I hope that Singh’s gets the hint and offers some cooking classes in the future so his customers don’t get accosted by a desperate, crazy lady.

Happened to wander in here on a Saturday after driving past it on 6th several times. I’m so glad I did! This place is basically a neighborhood Indian Grocery Store with an adjoining small restaurant and clothing shop. Beeing the wannabe foodie that I am went straight for the restaurant part. You can buy vegetarian combo plates here.(which they make fresh everyday) They serve such items like Saag Paneer, Dal, Samosas, and whole fried jalapenos!!(To my Hindi friends out there I hope didn“t butcher the spelling of these dishes!) But what caught my attention were the Indian Sweets that they make everyday! The owner was so nice, he gave me a bunch of free samples to try and they were sooo freaking good. I also got to try their Indian Tea(which I’m a total sucker for) and that was fantastic as well. My wife also purchased some really beautiful silk scarves in the clothing area. I’ve been back several times and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some unique foods that you wont find at your standard Indian Buffet places and also just for the pure adventure of it!
