Trench Studios

Nestled in the foothills of Corona, CA, Trench Studios resides in an unassuming house in the middle of a quaint neighborhood. You would never know that a mess of bands from all over have been to this house and recorded legendary records!
What can I say about Trench Studios other than this is the most professional business to record your album, demo, EP, or whatever? Top of the line equipment along with John’s extensive knowledge create one of the best environments to record at. My band has utilized John’s skills for three full-​length albums and an EP and we will continue to work with him because he is simply one of the best in this business.

When I walked into Trench Studios with my band, I knew it would be cool, but I didn’t realize that it was going to be the most awesome thing I ever did. First off, to be able to record at a place where legendary acts such a Intronaut and the brutal Abyssal Dawn have recorded full length l.p. is totally rad. Very cool to be able to record at a studios that has albums released on Relapse and Metal Blade. Secondly, Trench Studios isn’t all about money, it’s actually run by a knowledgable professional who gets you the bang for your buck. Analog recording mixing console, enough mics to mic everything and so many different approaches to tackle your tunes. And thirdly, when you hear your raw tracks you will weep because they sound supreme. We haven’t even heard the final mix yet and I am not worried whatsoever. This is the place to go to for many talents, especially in the heavier metal scene.

My band recorded here last week to do a three song demo and I have to say that the rest of the band and myself were blown away with our experience here. We’ve been looking to do a demo for a long time and a couple of other places fell through… and then we found Trench Studios. Why Trench didn’t occur to us before is beyond me actually. Maybe we didn’t consider it because we thought it would be too pricey knowing some of the legit albums he (John) has done, but once we actually took a look at his sight and contacted him the Demo/​EP deal was definitely in the ball park and ABSOLUTELY worth it. You could tell right away John knew his stuff, which is probably kind of obvious, but when you hear the way you sound through the mics you get the immediate feeling your choice was justified. John worked with us to make sure we got the sound we were looking for and worked with us on time as our recording went a little longer than it should. John is an absolute pro who absolutely knows his stuff. Trench studios is well worth it. We will be back here again.

I highly recommend Trench studios for your music project. John recorded my band’s demo recently, and the sound he produced was freakin’ sick! We’re old/​new school metal and John knew exactly how to reflect that sound onto a recording.
