Stopped by recently for fresh sushi daily made ! The quality is acceptable. I have never bought sushi in any grocery store before. Because it says fresh so I give it a try !
Now I decide to have it couple times a week coz it is convenient for my schedule. Out from school ! Head to work ! Not much time to cook!
The lady at cashier asked me if I need soy sauce ! Yes of course. It could be very nice if the lunch box comes with soy sauce and chop ticks. Then I realized no chop sticks when I opened and eat. I only buy sushi from the restaurant, and they always give me all what a person needs when they eat sushi. So what I’m gonna do ?
I decided to double wash my hands and use my fingers. Why not? Coz I was hungry and I wasn’t a good idea to drive back just to ask for chop sticks. Work time in 5 mins.
Then I noticed that the taste is much more delicious when i eat sushi with fingers ! I finished up the wasabi left over on my finger and the spicy taste is added more flavor to the bite I had in my mouth. What the h.? It was a fantastic ! Should I only use my finger to eat sushi in a restaurant from now on ?? I really love this way. Just triple wash your hands with green tea and lemon then no smell. Fresh and pure as you never have had sushi couple minutes ago.

This place ALWAYS has great prices. Only reason it gets 4 stars is because of how unorganized everyone is to enter a simple layout for a gas station.

Love shopping here because I really do like how helpful all the employees are… But they are WAY understaffed. I don’t understand why I have to wait in line for 10 – 15 minutes with lines that are wrapping down the aisle ways because they only have two checkers

Great Vons location.
Service is excellent, the store clean and well stocked and never too full.
Prices are fair if you shop sales and store specials, plus they have manager specials and markdowns up to half off!
Big store, great selection, tons of easy parking out front.
Earn fuel points to save off gas, their gas station here always has the best prices in the area!

This store is a lot different compared to a year ago. The bakery is full. The cakes are more detailed. Meat department has fresher items, produce is organized. Service Deli has a lot more items (sandwiches are great).

This review is for the pharmacy only. Since this store is always empty, I chose the pharmacy thinking I’d avoid the busy hassle of other pharmacies. I came on a Friday afternoon for an urgent prescription needed for my daughter. I was told they didn’t have it but would order it and get it on Monday by 3pm so I reluctantly agreed thinking that with my doctor’s office closed, I had no choice.
Monday 3pm comes and I get a call saying they didn’t receive the medicine, would have to reorder the next day and *hope* it arrives the next day. It was such an unprofessional solution so I said I’d talk to the doctor about getting the medicine at a different pharmacy. This is when I find out I don’t even need to ask my doctor and that pharmacies are able to transfer prescriptions at your request. WOW, why didn’t the first pharmacist inform me of this when she saw me desperate on a Friday afternoon??? It was either laziness, lack of compassion or greed but either way, I will NEVER go there again. It’s clear that the needs of the patient don’t come first.
I ended up getting my prescription from Walgreens on the same day. To ensure you get your medication for yourself or loved ones, I highly recommend staying away from Vons.

Pricey! And staff sometimes seem rushed! I don’t go here to often because the prices are almost doubled at time from stater bros. it’s a nice location and nice and organized Von’s but it’s prices are very high. The bathroom is almost always dirty.

I love the selection at this Vons but I have had to return items on at least 4 different occasions because my wife noticed I did not check the expiration dates on the items being sold. BBQ sauce (Gayle’s), Coffe (Pete’s within one week of expiring) and numerous wine bottles returned because of bad corks. On a positive note the staff are very friendly and helpful. I choose not to shop there unless I have to because of the items being at or near expiration.
