A hidden jewel in Coronado… there is a special artistic eye in everything here… from the woman’s clothing, to the jewelry, to their world artifacts (in their next door shop) this place is a true discovery if you’ve never stepped foot in the store… I’d lived here for nearly 20 plus years but had not been in. Now it is one of my favorites! Their wrapping is unbelievable. I do worry about telling this little secret, but it should be shared.

I always enjoy my shopping adventure at Zazen’s. So many unusual items that are artfully displayed. Tonight I met the owner, Kate, for the first time. She was kind and welcoming even though it was past closing. What a wonderful mentor for any woman aspiring to be an entrepreneur. Take time and explore this delightful shop of clothing, jewelry, accessories and one of a kind items from around the world. All purchases are wrapped beautifully before you leave the shop. I hope you get the opportunity to meet Kate. I visit from East County. It’s worth the drive.

I used to go here with my grandma on a weekly basis just to look at the gorgeous little vignettes the owner created and the unusual items she was selling. From the looks of the other reviews, not much has changed… just wish I lived closer. If you’re in the area or looking for a truly unique and beautiful gift for someone who values art, color, different cultures or just loves cool stuff… go!

This place is so much more than a clothing, jewelry, and art store. It’s run by a woman that is an artist at heart, and it shows with a unique collection of excellent aesthetic. I bought my Fiancé’s engagement ring here. She wanted something unique and of course stunning. Not only did I find exactly what I was looking for, but the whole experience was easy and in the end, I came away with a feeling that all stores should be run like this one. I was welcomed warmly by Kate, the owner, and she was so excited to help me with my ring search. She went out of her way to get me a ring that I was really pleased with. I normally don’t write reviews like this but I was truly inspired and couldn’t believe no one had reviewed this shop yet. If you’re in Coronado, or even San Diego, take the time to check out this unique shop. I’ve since done most of my gift shopping here. Make sure to get the gift wrapping, it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.
