Awesome little Irish pub. Bartender was overly friendly and very helpful in what bars to hit next.

Great place, but the live music is too DAMN loud. I swear band with amps for a stadium plays in a closet.

My only 5 star Irish Pub still stands with Trinity Hall in Dallas. They’re genuinely Irish, and will not be taken down by anyone. So my loyalty remains. With that said, Cassidy’s would be on my top 15 for Irish Pubs! About 3.5 stars. It’s a great little spot to grab a whiskey or beer, maybe listen to some music, and have some good conversation with friends. The environment is set up well, a little more«bar» than«pub,» but who’s noting differences, right?! It does have the dim lighting and a couple different nook areas to hang out in. Not bad. The drinks are poured well, and the service is good… most of the time. I’ve been a couple times with crappy service, but hey, it’s a bar. And you get what you pay for. As far as the live music, it’d be a great acoustic spot. But they choose to bring in live bands that make it incredibly difficult to hear any conversation, and the music typically echoes off of the walls. It’s really not a good spot for live music, and wouldn’t take much to beat. But, there are no other places close by, so they win at that. I’d say, if you’re in town and nearby, stop in. But definitely not a destination point if you’re traveling.

It’s dark, so the women look better which is always a plus. Also, they don’t kick me out for taking BC powder like this other local«pub» run by special ed rejects called Flanagan’s.

Nice little pub to chill at while in town. Enjoyed the live music Thursday night. I’d come back for sure.

Shit hole! Pay cash they will fat finger your tab! Not the best place to go downtown. Very small. Only decent time on Wednesdays unless u want to wait for your drink but watch your tab!

Since when did this place run into the ground? Since when did Cassidy’s have security? The owner ditched now there is some guy hiding behind the bar, you close your tab and reopen it? Pissed and the security will throw you out… adiós Cassidy’s! Sorry, once a must see… not a trash hole :(

If I could give this place a zero star I would! I came here for my twenty first 5 years ago and the owner gave me some good drinks! Good experience and unfortunately now I will never ever ever come here again! One night ruined it all… Bartender and bar back were jerks! Used to love coming here and now I will never come back.

Was visiting Corpus Christi for a night and found this bar. Wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised! The drinks were great and well priced and they had a live cover band that was great. Lots of fun!

Cool little pub in downtown Corpus Christi. I came here on Saturday night with friends while visiting from out of town. We walked in and immediately I felt like I was one of the regulars. A bit divey, the clientele ranged in age from early 20s to late 50s, which to me is a sign that they know how to appeal to people of varied tastes and interests. Very nice bar staff, live music, and an intimate setting to chat with friends or take a date. The cover band was spot on that night, and the dude held his own when singing the popular tunes. It was pretty dark in there, but each table was illuminated with a candle. It almost felt romantic, but definitely not cheesy. It was surprising to see a pub that sells liquor — very cool! Nice patio out front, which would be a good place to sit and watch the hustle & bustle of downtown Corpus. Beers were a tad on the pricey side — $ 12 for a Franziskaner and a Lazy Beach Blonde(the latter a local Corpus brew, which was really tasty and refreshing), but this is a touristy area so I guess that’s to be expected. I would definitely come back here next time I’m in the area.

I mainly love this place because of the homey feeling on the inside. Nice place to get a beer with friends and relax like youre at your Irish grandmothers home. Live music is great! I like to go here for geeks who drink on Wednesday nights. A much more relaxing, light lit atmosphere.

Has really improved in terms of adding efficient bartenders and cleaning up the restrooms. However I’d like to see it progress further. Great hangout in Corpus though!

I love craft beers and this place didn’t have any on tap. That’s why only three stars. My wife got an Irish coffee that she enjoyed. The atmosphere was excellent, with great décor. Music playing included Fleet Foxes and Vampire Weekend.

I was indecisive about what I wanted to drink when I came here… I told the bartender to surprise me… he gave me a Red’s Apple Cider. Barf, first of all, but at an Irish Pub? Come on! All the candle lit pub tables were Glad candles so it smelt like bathroom air-freshener in there. Double barf. The place was fun though, looked like it had a good local crowd that was all for having a good time. Its actually inside a seedy look hotel(local tip — the hotel was on Hotel Rehab I guess, fun fact.).

I probably would have given 5 stars if I had more of a reference in the area. Back East we’ve got a British Beer Company on Middle Street in Plymouth, MA. Cassidy’s is similar to this bar, which is a usual hang out for my friends and I. Seems like a good local spot, a couple blocks from the water and away from the main stream bar clustered area. The bartender(25ish with a beard) seemed to know and love beer, which is something everyone should look for. Dart board in the back. I say yes to Cassidy’s Irish Pub.

This was my first time here, and I kind of liked it. But I came here in January, so its a bit cool outside. Im not sure if it was warmer inside or outside, that is my main gripe… It was COLD inside! But the drinks were not horribly priced and kept coming. Next time I am there in town, I will hit up this place again!

Great little bar for ambiance but bar maid didn’t know how to make a Irish coffee, it sucked!!! What kind of Irish Pub can’t make an Irish Coffee?

This place is a shit load of fun. It’s not because of the place itself but the friends that go with me and blow my mind with their sense of adventure. Good memories… It’s a very small bar but cozy. They often have live music and their prices are reasonable. If you’re looking for a place to just chill but with a small group of friends, this is it!
