I drove by this place and was sucked in by the name KINGDONUTS! I must say it’s a little misleading. You would think that a place with this name would offer a LARGE variety of donuts. I have yet to find a GOOD place in Corpus Christi that is dedicated to selling Delicious donuts. This place offers maybe a few options but the do nut I had was no different than anything I would pick up at HEB or Wal mart. They lack taste and are not«Fresh».

I think these reviews are for a DIFFERENT location, this store is about 400sf if that — they have about 5 different donuts and 3 of them are some kind of chocolate on chocolate, glazed and covered in sprinkles?!? No variety at all :(and it wasn’t because they were out or had done a lot of business that day because their trays and cases well full!

It’s not Gates, but it’s certainly still good and plenty of additional offerings. Croissant sandwiches or pigs in the blanket!

Donut nirvana! Ok, that’s an exaggeration, but I was totally surprised to find such yummy donuts at this unassuming little shop. The outside is plain Jane, but the donuts are spectacular. Plus they sell breakfast sandwiches, kolaches, and taquitos(haven’t tried them. Don’t know if the tortillas are store bought or not). If you’re looking for sticky sweet, no substance air filled crack donuts like Krispy Kreme sells, forget it. These donuts have substance. They aren’t heavy but they have a little bite to them, ever so slightly, with that hint of a crisp on some of the edges like old school donuts. And there is NO chemical taste like HEB donuts. They are right up there with Gate’s donuts. Almost. There’s a good assortment for such a small display. The filled donuts are stuffed to the brim with jelly, chocolate, lemon, or Bavarian cream. The cinnamon rolls are flat but delicate, and the apple fritters are thin but crispy and filled with lots of apple and drenched with glaze. They sell a variety of frosted raised and cake donuts. The maple frosted crème filled long johns are my favorite! I’m gonna gain 20 lbs before Christmas even gets here. Oh but it’ll be worth it.

I was surprised at how much of a variety they offered. There was doughnuts, kolachies but they call them pigs in a blanket.

Was pleasantly surprised to discover they offer a lot more than just donuts. I ended up picking up half a dozen donuts along with a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant and a couple sausage croissant. I also added a boudain since I had even heard of that before. The whole family agreed the croissants were the highlight of everything but the donuts were yummy as well. None of us cared for the boudain. The lady at the counter was very nice and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!

Although the donuts are aesthetically pleasing, the donuts are a little bland in taste, lacking the sweetness factor.
