If I could give no stars, I would. This is the worse hospital that I have ever been«treated» at. If you want to be over charged, underserved, and disrespected this is the place to go! This is my first pregnancy(I was in my first trimester) and after vomiting for almost 2 days straight, I decided to visit the ER at Navarro Regional around 6:30AM on Sunday. After being seen by a rude receptionist/secretary, I was called in to have my vitals taken by a nurse who clearly did not want to be at work. I had to almost run to keep up with the nurse to the room. Then I was seen by a nurse who is by all clinical definitions a lunatic. She said I needed to hurry up and urinate in a cup for a sample. I told her that I did not feel that I had to urinate to which she responded, «your pregnant, you can pee. You don’t want me to catheter you.» REALLY! I almost walked out, but I felt terrible. A few minutes later the dr came in and felt my stomach. He said he would give me something for vomiting. I stayed at the hospital for about half an hour listening to the nurse tell me how to go number 2 and left feeling as bad as when I came in. A month later I get a bill for almost $ 600. To top it all, the dr prescribed me a non FDA approved medication that has recently been in the headlines for causing birth defects during the first trimester. Save your money, see a better physician and staff who will treat you with respect and drive a few extra miles to Ennis or Urgent Care in Ennis. This place is a death trap. The new building does not compensate for the poor quality of care or horror story’s from Navarro Regional’s past. If you don’t believe me, look up the history.

I was born here and turned out all right, so I’m a fan! But yeah, I’ve also visited family members here in recent years and they seem like a quality hospital, especially for the size of the area.
